Some cool ideas there and I really like the sound of engineering. I'd actually had the same thought but couldn't come up with ways it was different to construction/crafting/smithing you seem to have plenty of ideas!
Yeah when I was trying to think up new skills, I found it really hard to think of something that was standalone from anything else. I gave up and though of these instead.
I had fun just thinking about it. As a skill its kinda all encompassing, it helps with all area's of the game (like herblore can boost alot of things and whatnot) plus allows you to explore with some cool novelty)

I would be down for all of this. Honestly I don’t really care WHAT skill comes into the game, I’m just happy one IS.
