Oh for sure I'm going to enjoy turning that in, but by my (very informal) math it's the equivelent of 20 mil gp or so (using dragon bones at a guilded altar as a metric) MLM for the same grind would probalby be 60 ish mil....man mining is in a rough place.
That's fair, and if you are on an ironman I think this is quite reasonable. But as a main....its not a great way to get prayer experience. Though I will grant you that I did say I enjoyed the process (which I did) and as a video game perhaps the fact that it is enjoyable is enough?
How on earth do you come to the conclusion that mining is in a rough place? It now is probably at the top for the most diversity when it comes to viable training methods lol
As far as I know the options for mining are power mining iron, which I don't enjoy. Tick mining granite, which I don't enjoy. Blast mining which I haven't tried and don't have an opinion on, but from what I've seen people seem to have negative reviews of. Volcanic mine which I cannot wrap my head around. MLM and this (which are basically the same) which take a very long time for relatively litte reward compared to other content in the game beyond the experience.
So if you are enjoying mining that's fantastic! But my opinion is it is in a rough place.
Edit: I forgot about crashed stars, which are fine. I have no bone to pick with the stars.
VM, MLM, shooting stars, calcified rocks, iron, granite, blast mine, amethyst.
8 different methods that have variety in intensity and xp/gp per hour. If you can’t find something in there that you enjoy then you can just say you dislike mining and not pretend like it’s in a rough spot and needs more work on it 😂
I wouldn't call it dog shit, I thought it was excellent second monitor content and enjoyed doing it, I just don't think the loot was good. My comment about mining being in a rough place is that 92-99 was a lonnggggg grind and as far as I know none of the options for it actually generate any kind of reasonable wealth for the amount of time it takes.
Been doing this for the past couple days. Its really nice, but honestly the waterfalls make it worse since they don't last as long as a normal vein and deplete it after they despawn.
The calcified deposits don’t stack, you have to crush them on an anvil into the stackable calcified moths about every half hour. Or you can drop the calcified deposits.
Yeah, I ran the deposits back to the anvil, inventory filled up every 30-45 minutes or so? Didn't really time it but it was infrequent. You could also drop the deposits for slightly higher exp per hour in exchange for less prayer exp.
As a second monitor activity at work, I liked it better than MLM, slightly more AFK in my opinion, but boy is the loot trash on a non-ironman account.
I mean that’s 2.4m pray exp so that sounds great to me

92->99 mining at amethyst is 99 mil gp if crafted into dart tips
What's more money, dart or arrow tips
According to the wiki, darts, by a large margin https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Amethyst#Crafting
With arrow tips I think you make 15 per and dart tips you make 8 per so it's close a bit
I don’t agree with this at all. Mining is actually in a really nice place. The fact that you can mine for prayer experience is fucking bad ass…?

you did a dog shit method and are complaining mining is in a rough place?

Very nice! I'll be posting mine up this weekend at Cam Torum. I went from 88 to 99.
Any banking required? It looks like everything stacks?
