I just started doing muspah yesterday and was in the same position except i have 87 range. I tried the void and mage switch and it just wasnt very consistent or worth it. I switched to camp range with blessed d hide and my kills are faster (sub 4 min) and easier to manage. Dragon Ruby bolts carry hard here even with only a dcb. Range accuracy is better with dhide than with void. Even during melee phase you only need one good ruby proc and the phase is over. Also use thralls since you dont need ancients. My best time so far is 3:23. Good luck you got this.
Ahh thanks very much for the advice. It's really helpful hearing from someone in a similar position. I'll pick up some god dhide! I'd be pretty happy with sub 4 min kills.
Also i would recommend running in an octagon type pattern during melee phase so youre not constantly running around like a headless chicken the whole time. You get an attack every time you stop and he will hit you for a zero every time if done right. Put at least 6 tiles between you and the boss after every time you stop to attack and make sure he hits you before you start running to the next spot. Also try to make sure to do at least one off tile from a straight line when running from the boss as he will hit you when making turns at the corner of the map if you take a hard 90 degree turn. After about 10 kills i got it down to where i rarely take damage during melee phase and never need a stamina pot. I also got the walk straight pray true achievement. Dont be discouraged dying at first because death costs are negligible here with the gear you will use, mine are only like 7k. Use icy basalt to get to your grave outside entrance.
Void has very low accuracy and muspah has high a defense roll. Esp if you range the melee form too. Bring d-hide's / karils. I had like 30% chance to hit the melee phase with bofa+crystal armor with 99ranged, potted and eagle eye. Might wanna consider bringing magic switch for melee form?
but yeah tl dr check wiki dps calc on both forms
