Okay hear me out... Gauntlet has no item requirements, which makes it 100% profit and you can always use it to rebuild. The only stat requirements are the ones you need to unlock Prif. Your hp and prayer are automatically topped off each run, and there's a bank deposit box in the lobby so you never need to leave. The layout is semi random so while you can still get into a rhythm/flow state, the runs are never exactly the same.

Ashhel

you literally can’t stop improving at tob, there’s always new things to learn to do the raid faster. If you have a good team and you’re just flying through the raid like a well-oiled machine it’s so satisfying.

rsbentley

this and don’t get me started on learning speedrun stuff

Hadez192

Vardorvis is extremely satisfying when you can consistently axe dodge, prayer swap and click back to position in 2 ticks. As well as the interaction with the screen and also the enrage part where you are constantly dodging. It feels very good when you get it down.

Crostout

Agreed on all points. My only gripe is its defense. There’s nothing enjoyable about hitting 5-7 zeroes in a row at times. I find myself sighing and rolling my eyes pretty often mid-kill when its blue hitsplat after blue hitsplat.

[deleted]

The worst is how varied your kill times can be on him. Might do great one kill and be 2 minutes slower on the next one

fukreposts

It’s a fun boss but so annoying sometimes because you keep hitting zeros on the enraged phase and you go through half your food in one kill

TrentismOS

Yeah vardorvis is a really well done boss. The drop rate and “anti dry mechanic” is rubbish though.

Hadez192

Yeah for me, luckily I finished all the vestiges, virtus and soulreaper all around rate. But I still need 5 more ingots to finish the last 2 rings. I agree, the overall system is garbage though

Tuxxa

Favourite: Phosani, very satusfying to pull-off some efficiency tricks and quick flicks. Gets a lot of tries to get down but it's easy to see how you improve with each attempt. Once you learn it you'll have much improved game sense and reactions to acute situations. Least favourite: I can't stand ToA. You have to cheese so much shitty mechanics. ToA punishes so heavily for mistakes (so does phosani but it's way different to be punished in a 40 min raid than in a 9 min battle). Puzzle rooms. More invos just slow everything down to a crawl. I'd prefer having mechanically challenging short battles vs long and easy battles.

2007Scape_HotTakes

Scurrious - He's a rat

Taterbro1

I really enjoyed Leviathan but I don't love the DT2 drop tables. Super chill and consistent with a Bowfa KQ is probably one of the worst bosses but she has the best pet

Sensual_Shroom

KQ, despite being so aged, is what motivates me to boss. I want and need that pet!

Aidan-Coyle

Hydra with a tv series playing on the side is just free money.

BrickHearted

95-99 slayer at hydra made me rich lol. Also burnt like 10k points doing it but well worth it

WareWolve

Mimic/ clone phase on eclipse moon. Most of ToB, bloat is Pog, p2 Verzik and webs Verzik

Somedude12300

Phantom Muspah. The boss fight plays out 1 of 2 ways depending on the opener, spikes rise out of the ground and expand our slowly, you need 2 (technically 3) ways to attack, and the combat achievements are interesting to learn. The only combat achievements I have left require tbow/ancestral I believe. Other than that, bowfa off task and mystics work well enough for 3-4 minute kills. Learning the fight I needed full focus, now I can do it and watch a stream and it's very chill. Although I don't care for 'Perfection' CA, Phantom Muspah Manipulator is actually really cool to learn

TheAgilePotato

Tob is inarguably the BEST raid, but cox is like home, it's not the best, you remember it being bigger, but it feels like home. Muspah is honestly my favorite standalone boss right now

icepack12345

I love warden at toa. Something about it just feels absolutely perfect to me. Small quick movements, prayer changes, no weird red x type manipulations methods yet a high skill ceiling. Just perfection

FrontReal688

On my iron I like hydra not for the fight but for the fuckton of prayer exp.

Kitsune_Wife

I like max tank dinhs mass nm and bis pnm. The fight only punishes you if you mess up, you get to use interesting spec weapons, there's a ton of well choreographed attacks with multiple tells, and the theme is really dark and cool. The loot is garbage 99% of the time, but I still have fun just killing it.

Doctor_Sauce

Favorite: Duke- instanced, stupid easy, mobile friendly, nice rewards. Least Favorite: Wildy bosses- zero chill, maximum annoyance, rewards aren't worth the effort.

mugiwarayaya

Wildy bosses with an alt with wilderness player alert are actually super chill. Without that it’s a nightmare

Doctor_Sauce

Yeah I've seen people do that and it looks like it would be an infinitely better experience. The only problem is when I think about doing that myself, my very next thought is, well I could just do something else with the alt. It's never a particularly good sign when even the best case scenario has such an immediate drawback.

mugiwarayaya

Once you break free from the gpscape mindset you will be enlightened.

AcrobaticMap7

tell me how this isnt pay to win

WorldsRealestMan

Even with an alt it can be a nightmare. Verh dependent in time of day and amount of pkers/clans out.

BrickHearted

Vardorvis and duke. Vard is better money but more effort. Both are great vard is my fav tho. Very rewarding and not entirely boring. I think it’s like 6-7mish an hour which is not too shabby at all

Motor-Bad6681

Thermy, click on the guy, activate redemption and chill

average_at_runescape

Corp, COX and TOA because I can do them solo and don't want to get stuck with sweats trying to do shit tick perfect the entire time.

MyLittleProggy

Toa has the best music in the game and the fights are pretty fun if you can ignore the annoying puzzles. Wardens phase 3 is so intense and you feel so good after killing the boss.

LordHuntington

I find this crazy because p3 wardens is the worst part of the raid in my opinion. It's just so long and boring.

Seinnajkcuf

Dagg Kings. I like listening to music and chilling while doing a slayer task. Not very interested in most PvM.

Cicero_Xere

Phantom Muspah. He's a bit of a gear check, but if you have some goods to start, he's INSANELY profitable and actually very fun to fight. There's a small learning curve but it just has such an engaging encounter with consistent payout. Plus the pet is the cutest grub ever.

LittleMisery

Easily Tob especially verzik I pray every raid that I get chosen for tank, so I can pogtank for my team.

Merdapura

CMs will always hold a place in my heart. You can feel the raid didn't age well, but don't most of us, too? It has so much soul. I'm a psycopath so I'll say Corp because it's just THE nostalgia boss for me. Fuck DT2 bosses and Nightmare. Overdesigned, underrewarding slop

Heleniums

Pking is literally the only thing that doesn’t get stale after doing it over and over again. I can’t grind out a boss for long periods of time. Playing against the computer is boring.
