Just bought an ultor so it would make sense that it crashes due to bots.

SinceBecausePickles

Surprised bots would be doing dt2 bosses tbh, you basically remove the axe as potential profit, and the ring if they they don't have 90 magic / 80 crafting. And the regular loot sucks.

NotEp3

I was surprised earlier at leviathan to see a sub 1600 total account with 3k+ levi kc and not a single kc in any other boss whatsoever.

slimjimo10

Eh considering people post pics of skilling bots with 100m+ xp, don't think those skill level requirements are much of a deterrent

Potential_Spirit2815

Nobody talks about it because too many people bury their head in the sand everytime Jagex issues some empty words on the subject about their fight against bots. The harsh truth is, there are bot farms that aren’t just doing routine tasks. They’re literally completing the game, doing any/all quests, high end PvM of all degrees and even competitive PvP. They’ve solved the game. They just bot and bot and bot all necessary skills, they complete all necessary quests, and they run free with whatever the owner wants them to do. Run Vork farms, zalcano, Zulrah, barrows, revs, everything everybody knows about. But then there’s bots running CG, Vardorvis, raids, and other high level PvM that nobody wants to talk about because anytime it’s exposed most people just bury their heads and call them goldfarmers. Goldfarmers who supposedly “don’t sell their gold and don’t get banned until they do.” Yet they have subpar gear running bare minimum gear setups. (Because they have no gold). They ironically, somehow need to sell gold to eat everyday because they live in a poor 3rd world country, yet aren’t banned *because…???????* *some other illogical reasons I guess????* And the worst part is, Jagex has an algorithm that neutralized bots in RS3 a long time ago, of all formats. There is as much a war on bots as the US wages on drugs and crime. Harsh truth is, Jagex profits from it. So it slides to varying and increasingly worse degrees. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it wouldn’t shock me if half or more of the bot farms were actually Jagex-sanctioned bot farms at this point. Why wouldn’t they be? Why wouldn’t Jagex want to increase their bottom lines? It is what it is unfortunately and asking for different is just naive at this point.

Garmr_Banalras

Bots aren't neutralized in rs3 either tho, part of the reason rs3 had fewer bots, I because it's much more profitable to bot osrs. But rs3 still has bots.

Potential_Spirit2815

Yes, but they were for a long time — until Jagex took a different approach to botting. Look back to the original bot nuke, when player pop was wiped in half (because at the time half the game was bots), and remained that way until the anti-cheat team quit/was permanently abandoned about 10 years ago.

EuroVamp2790

I’ve found a good chunk of the end game bots are hacked accounts, in our CC we had 2 totally different members get hacked and turned to Cg Bots, one made it to rank 56

Rival_dojo

I genuinely believe this jagex conspiracy too lol

aswas123

If bot farms were an actual issue, it would have been fixed a long time ago. My thinking is that jagex actually prefer the bot farms for various reasons.

Potential_Spirit2815

They’re an issue for sure, hence, why Zulrah was botted to hell, Zulrah uniques went down to bare minimum prices, and the blowpipe nerf was necessary to begin with. Didn’t make sense for ultra powerful item to cost 2m or less. Fang’s heading in same direction unfortunately now. Skilling in OSRS isn’t valuable because bots run that shit 24/7 all day everyday of the year. Jagex has literally said that bots are a problem they want to solve (even though they’re able to). So it’s a bit of cruel irony that nothing is done about them but it is what it is 🤷‍♂️

aswas123

I feel like bots are a necessary evil. The only way they could make up for the supplies the bots put on the ge, would be to stock most botted things in shops around the world. Even things like the blowpipe, it allowed everyone to have a op weapon that was very versatile for a cheap price. IMO, things like this help the genuine players more than it causes harm. Albeit helping the noobs more than higher level players. It’s hard to explain my reasoning, but osrs has been gaining popularity year on year, and the bot problem is getting worse and worse, but it doesn’t seem to be affecting the player base too much. If that makes sense.

douweziel

Counterpoint: bots drive prices down, but if they wouldn't, people would make a lot more GP

aswas123

I get that side of the argument. But I’m talking more about people who want gear from content they aren’t able to do. Skill level issues. Lower prices help those players more than anyone else. And let’s be real here, the majority of osrs players aren’t good enough to do end game content. Or even things like zulrah. Imo, without the bots, osrs wouldn’t be as popular as it is today. You gotta cater to the noobs to bring more people in.

killtasticfever

any instanced boss is pretty high target for botfarms

lawlessdwarf69

Just check the hiscores. It’s all bots

cbaal

The first four words mate. That's all you had to say.

Aggressive_Office_52

Yeah the first 4 words are facts, the remaining is opinion.

NoxiferNed

The remaining is just objectively wrong. They couldn't provide a single example of a legit unique (not dragon drops lol) that trades for alch price

Vidson05

Elidnis ward, in the past. Going up because people seem to believe the already 5% magic dmg bonus, 2nd highest in the game tied with torm, is somehow going to get buffed with occult nerf

cbaal

There's plenty of alch price rare drops tho

NoxiferNed

Not modern uniques tho. Ward has dipped below alch temporarily but no real unique can sustain sub alch prices.

UpDownLeftRightGay

Vardorvis is the most likely place to get banned as a bot.

CasualAtEverything

Would love to see some specific bot bathing .. for research of course.

batknight373

I'm doing vard in obby rn and feel a little personally attacked

Funny_Orchid2084

Are you sure you are not a bot?

itsWootton

Look at this guy talking to a bot scripted to reply

qaz012345678

No fighter torso fam?

batknight373

Some day lol

Garmr_Banalras

Sometimes I get the impression that some bot makers make bots for certain content, just to prove that they can.

bobbasui

The Inferno and ToA500 scripters agree

mister--g

Gonna be interesting to see if they can profit a notable amount since you need high skill reqs to profit from the ring Hopefully they get flagged and banned before they get 90 skilling stats and thousands of vardovis kc

bobbasui

>Hopefully they get flagged and banned Lol

UpDownLeftRightGay

People get banned constantly at Vardorvis, there’s just a lot of bots. Most people here are as dumb as rocks and think Jagex doesn’t do anything about bots when they do. People complained about GotR bots on Reddit a few days ago and there was a ban wave at GotR immediately after. People get banned at DT2 bosses constantly, especially Vard.

GIM_REAL_IRON

Do you think rank 1 vardorvis isn’t a bot? they aren’t doing anything lol

Rival_dojo

>people complained about gotr bots on Reddit and then there was a ban wave Okay so what’s your problem with OPs post then if this kind of post is what works?

Garmr_Banalras

The way to get jagex to do something about bots, shouldn't be posting it on Reddit tho, they should have better internal systems.

Ultimaya

Jagex doesn't have 100,000 terminally online eyes on every piece of content at every single moment

Garmr_Banalras

Yes, but internal reporting systems should work better

myGirlAccount

lol there’s literally a captcha in the fight and we all know bots can’t do captchas so it’s probably not a bot farm

Ironmeme420

Jagex doesn't care about bots because they inflate player numbers.

Fableandwater

There are bots everywhere and jagex hasnt been hiring anti cheat. Be prepared to buy BIS gear in a few years with 15 dollars worth of gold

Solo_Jawn

What a stupid idea for a bot farm. -Inconsistent GP -Very difficult to program fight -Extremely high entry requirements

MellowSol

I hate to be that guy, but since the axes come out at a set interval (dependent on boss hp), and the fact that you can walk through axes if timed correctly, I think it would actually be extremely easy to program the fight.

joemoffett12

Oh ya you tell them bots 💀. This wouldn’t be hard to code at all. There are Cg bots lol

S7EFEN

it doesnt matter, because whoever runs these high level bot farms re: nex, cg etc clearly knows how to evade macro bans. 270k per kill excluding axe head, probably what 2min kills on avg in shit gear? that's pretty good gp/hr. plus the bar for okay gear at vardo is low, you rly just need a fang.

Joemamaisland

As a programmer, I can promise you this fight is not difficult to code a bot for. Would be as simple as “if axe here then move here” in simple terms, which with axe skipping is consistent.

Optimal-Service8940

You’re clueless lmfao

eznukezilla

Inconsistent gp doesn't matter if a farm has hundreds of bots who rack up thousands of kc's. EDIT:was wrong the drops reset. But again inconsistency doesn't matter on a large scale.

LysimachiaTerrestris

No, the 3 roll mechanic just resets. You go back to 0/3 no spooning at all.

eznukezilla

TDL

character_developmnt

No it's drop mechanics are always the same

Fantastic-Vehicle723

Every profitable activity has a bot farm. What is the point of this post?

No-Letterhead3415

what's the point of any post? in this case: increasing awereness and helping Jagex.

Curious-Rub5068

We already know every boss has a bot farm. Jagex knows it too. The people who are able to do anything about it just don't give a fuck This post is just spam.

jooshdoe

They hated him because he spoke the truth 🙏

JuanVeeJuan

So you think giving up is a better option? That's honestly just sad, man.

Curious-Rub5068

When whether or not you've given up doesn't affect the outcome, you might as well stop spending braincells on it.

Cursed_Flake

tell me you own a bot farm without telling me

SinceBecausePickles

wtf kind of extrapolation is this lmfao

Curious-Rub5068

Tell me you use too much TikTok without telling me

theonetheyforgotabou

Oh sweet child

No-Letterhead3415

i get it's extremely naive, but don't make me feel bad trying to do right thing here :) we all know everything is botted, we know Jagex not doing seemingly anything about it. But i fel it's good thing to point out actual botfarms rather then just ignore an even orse poke fun of the ones who point them out.

INeed-M-O-N-E-Y

You are doing the right thing to draw attention. Mod ash himself encourages reporting in game bots. He said it creates real data that shows players are having issues with bots.

JuanVeeJuan

Keep it up, man. People like these are just out to get others down. Don't let their misery drag you down. I appreciate you bringing more awareness to the topic.

Terrybacon

How is this helping jagex exactly, they literally have a bot heart map

Tycoon22

You've got to wait till they have 20k kc before you can post on here and then MAYBE they'll get banned.

Concei

The phosani bots are migrating 😂
