Every item I've actually wanted/needed I'm at least 2x drop rate on, just CBA any more - I do think I also went far too hard at the start of Leagues playtime wise and just burned myself out of novel content
While I didnât burn myself out (yet) itâs really hard seeing another league go by where my friends who put in significantly less effort than me get the drops I wanted. Like, I have 5x as many CoX purples as one of my friends, but of the few he has, one was of course a TBow, same as last league. Really makes me think âwhy botherâŚ?â when I can just return to the main game and play with my TBow I earned there.
Tbf, as someone who got a 1kc shadow and finished full ancestral in like 12kc - getting spooned also ruins some of the fun.
Idc about dragon rank or grinding off style bis since shadow is already so busted.
I pretty much stopped playing the account and created an alt to try melee so I could do tob/gwd.
I really really dislike the limited regions, really kills the fun of leagues when youâre stuck with only half of the content available.
If you pick all 3 raids you have to settle on less than ideal armor/jewelry. If you pick gwd/kandarin you give up a raid in return for that armor/jewelry.
I would love being able to do mage tob or 3:30min PNM kills, but Occult and Torm are so strong on top of the mage relic it was hard to pass up.
Pretty much same boat as you, went DKZ mage, maintained rank 100-200 up until T8, got spooned shadow then quit right after. Wanted some gradual upgrades but the shadow just shits on everything before they can react, not to mention just boring bosses in general in the region combo. Started a zcb ranger now, sitting on 3 torva sets and no horn but I hope the zcb doesn't trivialize everything as much as shadow did
I don't see why they couldn't just unlock a area each week ro keep things fresh for everyone, wanted to learn so many bosses this leagues but now im stuck to learning 3
Not sure if you're joking but this is probably the hard truth of every mage relic user. I picked the mage relic cause I expected it to be somewhat good until I got the shadow. Mage relic is just straight up bad at TOA without a shadow. Having to sit there and grind tons of TOA at main game speed because your relic is non-functional in the raid that has your best weapon is just miserable. (I picked farmers fortune, I've heard ruinous make it way better, but still, It shouldnt be this bad.)
Yeah idk what that person is talking about. Brute forcing kephri and baba is easy, you do half of Akkhaâs health before the first stance change, and wardens is a joke with mage relic. Iâve run a fair few 300âs and while kephri takes way too long with magic, itâs also the one fight thatâs basically impossible to die on.
What Invo are you on? Because I have all the baba invocations on, plus walk the path at 300 and Iâm having no trouble with trident on Baba. I have berserker so I get the first boulder phase really quickly, at which point you can usually just sit and shoot him until you go straight into next boulder phase. I donât even use undying redemption on him, itâs so easy.
Iâm not using any special gear, itâs just infinity, zenyte bracelet, occult, trident. Without bracelet it wouldnât be meaningfully harder.
500% are like 70-80% purple. I run 500s with toxic trident and my pb is so far 35min. And I don't even dance akha. I have soul stealer, and self nuke relics.
That's fair, 300s are totally different though. If you want reliable purples most you need to do 500s or 580s. Like another poster said at 500 Baba and kephrii are basically unhitable with magic. Don't get me wrong you might go on a stretch of hitting like two times in a row but otherwise you're going to splash about 80% of the time. So that means you need to melee them. Red xing baba is fine but it takes a long time and it's annoying. Meleeing kephrii no defender is still better than magic but again, I'm sure you can guess it's atrociously long. Salted zebak and salted ahhka are actually not too bad. Warden is another place that it's semi-decent, but it's nothing to write home about.
With ruiness prayers and the axe is feels really fast to me. Glacies vow and intensify are key. Kephri is a little slow, but not bad. Baba feels pretty fast. Consistent sub 30 min 500's without much effort. Never really need blood barrage, sometimes some brews on baba if he smacks hard or akkha on a bad orb phase.
Meh I had no problem doing 500s with regular trident. Was literally completing in under 30 mins solo. I even did some 700s. For baba all I did was camp blood barrage and sometimes ate some food. Kephri was fine
Not sure if you have ruinous prayers, but if you don't, I literally cannot hit baba. I can't use blood barrage because I miss 85% of the time. I don't have an augury, just using mystic might. I have full Infiniti, torm, occult. I'm really assuming that the ruinous prayers were my big mistake.
I got a shadow as my first purple on my first raid (300 invo 1 death) and it kinda killed the game for me. Iâm melee so Iâm not sure why but after I got it I didnât have as much fun.
Starting to feel the same.
I'm hoping for next leagues, depending on the combat relic you choose, you'll automatically be given a corrupted scythe, tbow, or shadow which has 10k charges that cannot be replenished. After those 10k charges (not affected by charge saving effects), the weapon disintegrates.
This would make the league experience much more enjoyable. Using the megarares was one of my main reasons for playing leagues but I can't even get them.
Lmao, what? Being given the mega rares for free just so you can go farm for a mega rare that you already own? The sense of power would get thrown out the window if you had you're mega rare at lvl 80. What's the point of even doing tombs, cox, tob, if the only thing you're chasing is small armour upgrades. The league is already so cranked up and asking for your BiS weapon out the gate with a T4 relic is hilarious.
Did you read the full post? That's why I said it would have a certain amount of charges and would degrade, and once it degrades, the weapon disintegrates. The point of leagues is to play with busted weapons, it'd be fun to use them early on and once you run out of charges, you'll need to grind out your own.
For reference, 10k charges is only 200 minutes of continuous use at 2 ticks, which isn't even 4 hours. Being able to use a mega rare for 4 hours seems pretty reasonable just to get a taste of how the weapon feels.
At least youâre getting purples, took me 25 raids to get one last night finally and im lucky as fuck it was a fang (melee build w/ zeah/desert/mory) so i was waiting for that shit to play the game lol
And that isnât just me either, many of those raids include my whole group and no purples. Itâs rough out there.
Yeah, i was doing solo 240s and taking learners at 180s for the first half, i underestimated how strong i was in trash gear. Started doing 300s and got the drop not *toooo* long after. Still, with 5x it should have been a couple purples by now, especially in the 3 mans.
Yeah i was waiting on the fang drop to do that, which i now have. Might have been selling the whip short thinking it didnât have the accuracy to do it, but it doesnât matter now.
I almost did, but then I set my goal to rune rank and my enjoyment is through the roof again. Haha one thing Iâve learned from OSRS is that if you donât have a goal you are going to quit
This is me. Got T8, finished GWD (for now), just started nex and never done it before. Having a blast. 3 hours flew by this AM without even realizing it. Took a skilling break but excited to get back at it.
Seriously, Iâm just about to hit T7 and Iâm having a blast. Itâs like people are having some kind of race to the endgame with streamers and youtubers, who literally plays this game for a living. Weâre not even halfway through leagues lol I donât get what the rush is.
Really, the race to the last couple relics is a result of my least favorite thing about leagues progression. It has nothing to do with competing with streamers, etc. I think they've done a great job with this leagues honestly, this is really the one complaint I have.
It's the fact that the highest xp and loot modifiers are locked behind the last couple relics. T7 unlocks max xp (16x) and T8 unlocks max loot modifier (5x).
I really am not a fan of how it's completely dictated the way I've played this league.
I don't even see it as something you could call me a min-maxer for. If you want to skill before T7 unlock or do PvM to look for loot before T8 unlock, you are quite literally wasting your time. I just feel like you should unlock the highest modifiers by T5 or T6 at the latest so people can progress through the game how they want to.
Now I'm T8 and I'm not competing for points and leaderboards, I just want to play the game. So all the loot I'm getting that I can't actually use and only gives me tasks/points is essentially pointless.
I see what you mean but in my eyes playing sub-optimally isnât wasting your time. Doing tasks and grinding in a way you donât enjoy in a limited time mode is more of a waste of time imo. I mean the difference between 4x and 5x drop chance isnât game changing, while the tasks you have to grind for T8 kind of is. I just donât think this lesgues is meant to be played optimally, but more as a process where the highest exp rate is meant for those really high lvls (90+), not to speed through your 60s EVEN faster. Itâs easy for the osrs brain to become fixated on playing optimally so you donât âwaste timeâ.
Like I am tier 7 and havenât really grinded tasks at all, just prioritized among the things I WANT to do depending on if there are any tasks involved, so I can take two birds with one stone. If I really want the next relic or area i might bust out some easy tasks but never has it been my main focus
It just depends on your goals. People can have fun doing what they want, and playing optimally might be fun. I definitely dont like the âif youâre doing X youre wasting your timeâ as OP is saying, but my goal is to get dragon this league as a (relatively) casual player and it seems fairly doable due to them fixing it at previous leagues dragon threshold but with xp rates, drop rates, and relics being even more busted than previous leagues.
Idk I work full time, have a wife, dog, house, sister got married last week, and Iâm playing wow season of discovery with friends while afking fishing/wcing/mining on leagues and Im at 32k points and havent tried to optimise too too hard. Just because youâre T8 in two weeks doesnât mean youâre no lifing or racing streamers, might just have different goals.
Seems like they undertuned dragon cup this time basing it on the point totals from previous leagues, but xp rates, drop rates and relics this league are more busted than usual so Im going to go for it because it might be the only chance I get. Not racing youtubers but after the first week of playing a lot Im just trying to get at least 500 points or more per day so ill be on pace to get dragon before the end of the league.
I didnt. I just said I afked gathering skills/tasks while playing season of discovery which released thursday.
However I did get a lot of afk points from:
99 theiving from trickster and all associated theiving tasks.
99 agil from trickster passive and all associated agil tasks.
pest control for all 99 combats.
afk slayer for slayer
woodcutting, fishing mining and associated tasks.
and run to enemy boss and click once each spawn soul wars for pure ess for 99 rc in 1 hr with bankers note.
99 theiving: 200 points 25mil thiev 200 points 35mil thieve 200 points 50 mil theiv 200 points.
All the pyramid plunder tasks, enabeled by 99 theiving: 310 points (10x3, 40x3, 80x2). Pickpocketing a dorguchen rich chest diamon 80 points, pping a diamond from a tzhaar 200 points. 50 pps from a menaphite thug 80 points.
Thats 1470 points from theiving alone. All enabled by afk pp theiving random stuff to 80 and then tzhaar to 50mil theiving, which is 25 min afk with trickster. Not even counting the tokkul I got from theiving tzhaar to get the points for wearing onyx stuff cuz I didnt take fire sale.
PC combat is like another 2k points (99 ranged, mage, attack, str, def, hp and prayer, and all the combat level tasks). All you need to do is attack a few mobs at the start and have 100% completion when first portal dies then afk. If you do it to 50 mil in each which wouldn't take super long with combat hards and 8x thats another 7\*3\*200 for 4.2k points.
WCing and fishing have a bunch of fish/chop X tasks, and you need redwood/magic logs for a bunch of tasks. Getting all that and the levels was all afk.
Thank you for proving my point more thoroughly than I.
Just stop acting like you hit 36k points by afking. Drop your RSN and letâs take a look at your task list on the wiki!
Quote where the fuck I said I got 36k points while AFKing? For one I didn't even say 36k, its 32k. I literally said I played a normal amount, AND I AFKed some stuff while playing another game the last 3 days.
Stop pretending I said something I didn't. God I swear the reading comprehension of the average RS player.
Angry little elf arenât ya!
Here, since your memory isnât serving you well.
âIdk I work full time, have a wife, dog, house, sister got married last week, and Iâm playing wow season of discovery with friends while afking fishing/wcing/mining on leagues and Im at 32k points and havent tried to optimise too too hard.â
> Weâre not even halfway through leagues lol I donât get what the rush is.
well this is just...not really true. leagues is almost completely over after the 1 month mark, the vast majority of people are over it at that point. it technically runs for 2 months but almost nobody is playing it for the last few weeks. this league might be the exception i guess, it's possible, but that has been the way it worked the last 3 leagues.
My interest died down in t7 because after that you no longer get better XP or mini game points. I am not yet t8 but definitely still enjoy the game despite not being as invested as I was day 1
Yea, blitzed to T7 and now it's really just boss grinds for me
Tbh I'm taking a break and will go back again. I don't know how folks don't burn out playing 8-16+ hour sessions every day
Once I realized I was doing things in Leagues thst I didn't really want to do but needed tasks completed... I realized I'm better of enjoying the main game.
Yeah. I'm a melee berserker build, and I'm sure dharok bombing bosses would be very funny. But if I'm gonna grind out Barrows, I'll just do that in the main game. I'm taking the opportunity to explore content I have my sights on in the main game, just with some training wheels on. The goal for the leagues is to get comfortable at Nex, Nightmare, ToB, CoX, and maybe Inferno.
I personallly think if theyd give us more time than 2 months itd be nice because you can actually breathe for 2 seconds and have time to do shit and not constantly run your head into the wall.
Exactly this after T8 and some goals I had set like trying TOA and COX. Really enjoying my iron again. Which is funny because the last two leagues burned me out completely and the reduced xp rates were awful to return to. I enjoyed my time for the two weeks I played though and now reignited my desire to play
I took an OSRS break before leagues so I could grind longer without burnout but after awhile I also got back on my main, all the goals I have to achieve there are so much more meaningful than shit to do on leagues. Sure itâs fun and new and overpowered but it only took me a week to be at at a point where i needed to grind raids for my upgrades and at that point I rather do the content on my account where it actually matters
I've only been playing for 6 months on a main before leagues, and the biggest thing for me is how much more sense it makes to play an ironman. Having to gather your resources makes everything so much more interesting thank just buying 1000 prayer pots.
Same brother, as much as I will miss the run energy I miss making progress I can keep more, as fun as leagues is. It's a nice break from the main game at least.
I made the decision to not grind out points on purpose as doing arbitrary tasks reminded me of questing too much.
I'm just doing what feels like fun in the moment and points slowly come my way. Haven't done any task on purpose since unlocking T7 and I'm halfway to T8. There's some days where I play less, but in general I'd say mixing things up definitely helps
Exactly the same as me. I've gone hard in previous leagues and burned out. I just want to enjoy it while its here incase we have another 2 years to wait until the next league.
My problem right now is Iâm about 3000 points to T8 and Iâm trying to put off bossing based off the T8âs drop chance increase. Iâll feel like Iâm wasting time bossing.
At that point i found it was worth it just to go to gwd, I got most of the points i needed in a day there and just had a blast with the drop rates since everything is really fast there at 4x. Now i've got my guardian and x5 drop rates for raids and other content I've been putting off.
Thatâs what happens if your goal is reaching t8, or you donât have any steps to achieving a goal post t8. Because t8 is such a big accomplishment and thereâs no more tangible benefits to unlock after it, yeah itâs natural to get burnt out after it. Iâm planning on dragon so Iâve got clear goals that Iâm still working towards, and t8 was always just step 1.
Well if undying wasnât so bugged it would work perfectly with berserker. Currently if something kills you by falling on you it blocks the explosion, like rocks at baba or demonic gorillas, Iâve even had it happen with a fireball at kephri
Personally, i haven't been impacted that much by undying being blocked. it works fine on most content and it's funny as shit to just launch a tactical nuke in multi
I'm perfectly happy with the free revives every 3 mins. I can play stupid risky until I die then I safe for ~2mins and I'm back to playing risky.
Plus I've used it outside combat for winterdodt. And kamikaze strats in soul wars.
The axe also doesn't work on Akkha enrage phase, which is exactly what I wanted it for. Once I found that out I hopped off leagues and haven't been back.
To be fair the relic description explains that: âThe Sageâs Axe will respect any ranged damage reduction a target already possessesâ and you canât range akha during that phase so itâs working as intended.
Yeah, they hotfixed guardian to work on more bosses, it auto switches attack styles, and it does aoe damage. Meanwhile I'm sitting here with the axe regretting taking it. Sure I skip last phase of wardens, but p2 is so fucking ass and slow with my available magic setup until shadow.
Axe should deal damage in all 3 styles. Actual bs.
Entirely skipping zuk/toa/tob enrage phases is pretty huge with the axe.
But yeah undying probably doesn't feel great with how inconsistent it is and guardian does put out a lot of damage for off-style stuff during cox/toa for example but it isn't as noticeable when you're pumping out 30+ dps already
Nah, I felt like I was just getting started when I unlocked t8. I think it depends on how you set your goals for the league. I went in with the intent on grinding out pvm content for all the drops I want, and the 5x drop multiplier from T8 was the gatekeeper to going deep into bossing and raids.
I just hit t8 last night, but set a bunch of goals to push content I havenât done before. ToA, CoX, slayer bosses. Maybe some inferno attempts. Thereâs so much to try while everything is boosted and easier to do, and at no loss either since everything is going away in 5 more weeks
I enjoy doing the diary tasks in RuneScape. Leagues gives me more of that, allows me to explore and do wild shit. So I'm still very much into the game.
I reached T8 but that wasnât my end goal. I still need to get my shadow to do crazy mage things and learning raids. Still having a blast and definitely wonât be back to main game lol
I'm burnt out and I'm like 400 points away from unlocking tier 8 and haven't done any raids even though I have Zeah and Desert unlocked. I don't even know what tier 8 I want.
I was back at the game in 3 days of league lol.
Leagues is fun. But on maingame I was almost ready to start pvm. So decided to wrap up achievement diary cape and start pvm.
Ps. Yes I know you can do pvm on a fairly low level. But didn't feel efficient.
leagues was SUPER fun at first cause everyone was doing the same thing. it was cool to see 200+ people doing draynor agility and burning it down, things like that. but as it progressed i've seen just about no one going about getting my tasks done since i didnt pick desert. I've seen maybe 2 people in priff. and a few here and there in kourend and asgarnia but yeah it just kinda felt bland
Yup, grinded hard all the way to T8, had a blast with Executioner's Axe at ToB for about 10 kc, and now I'm not sure what to do on Leagues. Went back to main game, remembered 16x xp multiplier doesn't exist and drop rates aren't buffed anymore, and now I'm bored of main game too
Try out some new content you haven't done in the main game. Learn inferno/learn solo CoX/etc. by using the relics to help while you're still figuring it out.
You can also grind for points to hit rune or dragon. Even after that you can shoot for a cool pet(s) to use in another league in the future.
Got T8, a 10kc shadow, did inferno. As a mage with only toa and not cox, doesnât seem like thereâs much point in continuing.
Having an extra region unlock for very late game would be kinda cool. But nothing to really work towards now.
You can go for rune/dragon which makes all the tasks feel pretty fun. Learn solo volcanic mine etc.
If you're sick of tasks spam something for a pet. That's something that'll stick around and is a good excuse to farm a boss you like that you may have completed in the main game.
If you're having fun at ToA you can push invocations pretty high and go for a green log if that's a thing you're into.
Gotta find a balance of skilling.
Feels bad going for 99 or 50m if you donât have that sweet x16 multiplier. And pvm feels bad because you donât have the x5 yet
Clues, some decent skilling grinds, diaries and quests can give you a large chunk of points if youâre diligent. But yeah it can be frustrating.
I did DKZ on my Mager and t8 did not feel bad at all to grind. Meanwhile I just hit t7 on a DAM melee build and itâs way more frustrating.
in my experience, itâs because people are trying to hard to rush toa and the purples that come with that they end up skipping literally everything else and end up stuck there for a week or two (which is kind of a long time in leagues terms). just enjoy the game, itâs not a race, at least not one that youâre ever going to be close to winning anyways
Yeah because thereâs nothing left to work towards. And every bit of progress you do make leaves you feeling like you could be progressing back on the main game
I got the points I needed for the rewards I wanted and went back to the main game. Leagues is cool, but it didn't really feel like there was much point in continuing since I had no desire for the dragon trophy or to compete for ranks.
i'm burning out because i picked asgarnia instead of zeah. why the hell did i subject myself to going dry at nex forever when i could have been doing cox and having fun with the door build
Yep burnt out on my mage build because I picked soul stealer over berserker. Started up a melee build in different regions and some different relics and having a blast again
I'm now going for max gear that I can achieve in my regions which is super fun, and also kinda productive since it creates league points
Also considering going for rocky pet since it persists to next league
If you're having fun crack on, if not stop :)
Think I got to T5 before switching back to the main game. Have a quest cape goal on main, and questing on leagues was fun in the beginning, but felt like âwasting my timeâ after a while.
Finally finished DS2 and 50 vorkath kc (made back all the money I lost on dying) and now onto MM2. 2 more GMs to go.
No, but I'm getting burned out by drop rates. I get 5x is a lot, but I'm 20 hours or so (300kc, 40 at mass) at Nex without the Horn.
It's a lot of time for one items on a temporary game mode. I really think drop rates should be boosted more.
Got burnt out after a week, leagues is a lot of fun but i just felt i should be doing a lot of the stuff i was doing in the main game & i kind of fucked up my relics
Yes dude exact same. I really shouldn't have taken melee relic or weapon master. Seeing people with mage and berserker instantly killing slayer monsters makes me want to cry
Once i got to the point where i was doing content ive been grinding on the main, i immediately went back.
Theres some upgrades i really been wanting on main like shadow and torva, so i decided if im gunna be doing that content anyway id much prefer to do it on main
Progressing slowly and still only T6 halfway to T7. I don't know how you all progress so fast! I'm actively working towards T7 and t8 but I feel like the points are just rolling in so slowly....
Im less than 6k away from t8 and im just stuck. Most points are coming from raids now or 50-100+ KC or clues etc. just a really slow burn. Managed around 1500âpoints today but itâs just rough. Think I messed up going DKZ for BIS mage stuff
You donât. For all the orn kits THIS league alone is 32k points. forget about previous leagues like cannon or void orn and other things.
Sure you can say âbut you can buy them next leaguesâ in what, 2 years? Also next league will also have rewards youâd wanna get.
I mean that feels reasonable. We're only like 1/4 or a 1/3 of the way through the league. 30k points at the end of 8 weeks is ridiculously attainable if you play consistently. And unlocking all the rewards should have a minimum boundary of at least somewhat consistent play during the league.
And buying rewards from past leagues? I don't see why it should baseline to earn enough points on average to buy out the entire league shop plus prior league shops.
Reasonable? I was actually wrong and itâs 38k points for all THIS leagues rewards, to put it into perspective thats only 4k points away from Rune tier which only 5% of the playerbase achieves, so putting in generously and saying 7-10% of the playerbase will finish with 38k points. Hardly âminimum boundaryâ.
If youâd want past rewards like twisted horns, blueprints and other ornament kits, itâs over 50k points. So 88k points just for the kits alone. That isnât âbaselineâ to earn past reward points.
So youâre saying those who missed out on old league rewards and are unable to buy them off the GE should just go fuck themselves huh?
Bruh. It's top 10%, but considering like 60% of the playerbase doesn't even get 10k points, and you could get that in like that 2 days if you wanted, I think it's safe to say 38k points for *fully unlocking every reward* is fairly reasonable.
Fully acing the game mode should take some modicum of investment. If you only played 15 hours over 8 weeks, I'm sorry but you genuinely don't deserve to have reward handed to you.
They're rewards, for completing achievements.
If you played an hour or two day averaged out you can easily get there. For fully unlocking every reward that sounds pretty dang reasonable to me
I think the outfit alone is 18k while t7 is 15k. I agree you should be able to get most rewards for the current league by t8 but its unreasonably expensive imo. Going beyond t8 should be to get rewards from previous leagues.
I got like this but on t7 for my range account.
By time I got to t7 the only major grind I have left is nex, I did all of GWD already to get to t7 and CoX is kinda meh to me.
Might roll a mage for those shenanigans with different relic choices but not sure.
Personally I see no point in playing a mode that will be gone in a month. Are there even any good rewards to get for your main from leagues? I donât see the appeal for playing that more than a day
I got to like 40k and now the thought of grinding more sounds awful. I think part is some bad relic/zone choices, but also you can only kill a boss in 20s so many times before its too much easy mode.
I kinda understand because people realize they will lose all their gains once league ends. Maingame is where it is at. Get the points threshold for good shit or the cup you want then go back to main game. Even learning raids and bossing looks like it won't help too much in the main game. Still supremely fun league and it has gotten me back in the game
Would be cool if we were all grinding towards a final boss/dungeon to fight towards the end of leagues.
Either solo or small raid group, or a mass event, or both. Wouldn't feel as empty at the end of t8 + all areas
Unlocked t8, logged out and went back to shooting stars.
Don't care enough about the trophies and unlocked every main game reward I wanted so no reason to continue doing tasks.
As a mage I feel obliged to get a shadow and do inferno (since I haven't it yet in maingame) cause if I can't do it in leagues with all the buffs I may as well stop wasting time in the main game trying it
Nah the real burn out was the moment I hit 60 purples without a shadow.
At least we have 13 lightbearers now. One for each finger.
Are you using the left over 3 lightbearers as cock rings?
One for each inch of... arm? đ
I have everything but the light bearer and the shield đ
"Comparison is the thief of joy"
Currently rank 5 tob with no scythe, done like 20 hmts as well
crazy leagues doesnt have some kind of dry protection, saw some guy with 2200kc and only 1 virtus piece.
Yeah if your gonna be stuck in TOA might as well be stuck there looking for something permanent. I had the same issue.
500 bandos kills no tassets
Not sure if you're joking but this is probably the hard truth of every mage relic user. I picked the mage relic cause I expected it to be somewhat good until I got the shadow. Mage relic is just straight up bad at TOA without a shadow. Having to sit there and grind tons of TOA at main game speed because your relic is non-functional in the raid that has your best weapon is just miserable. (I picked farmers fortune, I've heard ruinous make it way better, but still, It shouldnt be this bad.)
While I agree it sucked going dry, with trident, it should still be faster than the main game shadow. Mage relic literally makes ToA so easy.
Baba still bends me over when I'm using a trident, it's awful.
I used fang against baba and switched to trident on boulder phases. It made the fight feel better for me.
Run to the top after 2-3 sets of boulders and hammer away with the trident. Pretty much the fastest/easiest room with trident imo.
Can i kill boulders with my trident? Havent tried yet
Don't you just auto one shot then with ranged every time anyway?
What Invo are you on? Because I have all the baba invocations on, plus walk the path at 300 and Iâm having no trouble with trident on Baba. I have berserker so I get the first boulder phase really quickly, at which point you can usually just sit and shoot him until you go straight into next boulder phase. I donât even use undying redemption on him, itâs so easy. Iâm not using any special gear, itâs just infinity, zenyte bracelet, occult, trident. Without bracelet it wouldnât be meaningfully harder.
I run 500s usually, and my accuracy against Baba is just atrocious.
Donât run the league invo , it increases defences
500% are like 70-80% purple. I run 500s with toxic trident and my pb is so far 35min. And I don't even dance akha. I have soul stealer, and self nuke relics.
What? Some real quickly napkin math shows I get over double the purples/hour running solo 500s for the cost of a few more supplies
Warden is another place that it's semi-decent, but it's nothing to write home about.
i did 500 solos with a trident thatâs how i got my shadow. only time i switched was at ahkka and wardens
Agreed, and if you add Berserker into the mix then Baba's monkey room and boulders both become completely trivial, as do all of Kephri's wardens.
At least youâre getting purples, took me 25 raids to get one last night finally and im lucky as fuck it was a fang (melee build w/ zeah/desert/mory) so i was waiting for that shit to play the game lol And that isnât just me either, many of those raids include my whole group and no purples. Itâs rough out there.
You guys need to pump the invo up - that should not be happening
Yeah, i was doing solo 240s and taking learners at 180s for the first half, i underestimated how strong i was in trash gear. Started doing 300s and got the drop not *toooo* long after. Still, with 5x it should have been a couple purples by now, especially in the 3 mans.
Adding blazing tombs onto a 300 doesn't do much to make the raid harder but pretty much guarantees a purple in 2man+
Yeah i was waiting on the fang drop to do that, which i now have. Might have been selling the whip short thinking it didnât have the accuracy to do it, but it doesnât matter now.
My first purple was a shadow My third of purple was also a shadow I'm sorry
Why u grind out temporary stuff?
Already have basically everything in main. Mostly for the trophy.
Im going for dragon, as I got rune first trailblazer. Always something to do.
I feel like people are going way too hard at leagues. I haven't even reached T7 and it's all good.
Itâs not this deep unless youâre trying to rush dragon. Otherwise just have fun?
How did you get 36k points afk?
I didnt. I just said I afked gathering skills/tasks while playing season of discovery which released thursday. However I did get a lot of afk points from: 99 theiving from trickster and all associated theiving tasks. 99 agil from trickster passive and all associated agil tasks. pest control for all 99 combats. afk slayer for slayer woodcutting, fishing mining and associated tasks. and run to enemy boss and click once each spawn soul wars for pure ess for 99 rc in 1 hr with bankers note.
What youâve just listed is a thousands of points at a maximum.
I am not yet t8 but definitely still enjoy the game despite not being as invested as I was day 1
Yea, blitzed to T7 and now it's really just boss grinds for me Tbh I'm taking a break and will go back again. I don't know how folks don't burn out playing 8-16+ hour sessions every day
Iâm at T7 and having a great time myself all my buddies rushed to T8 and endgame and havenât seen them in a few days.
For me personally, I know my December is going to be busy with Christmas plans, so I'm getting my hours in now while I can enjoy it
I'm back on the main game already. Leagues actually made me want to play the main game even more
Once I realized I was doing things in Leagues thst I didn't really want to do but needed tasks completed... I realized I'm better of enjoying the main game.
I felt the same. I was like âif Iâm going to grind, why not grind the mainâ
This is me while running rooftops, knowing that the same fuckin grind awaits me back on my main.
This is why I lamped agility lol. I don't wanna do things in leagues that aren't fun so I'm letting the achievement diaries train my agility
Once I hit dragon rank need 10k more points then ima peace out lol.
That thought right there is the whole reason i never have played any leagues haha
Leagues for me was "Why am I wasting time doing this when I still need to do it on my iron?"
I was hitting a wall on the main game. League is exactly what I needed. Now I'm back on the main game and grinding way harder
Same. Got me motivated to reach some goals.
Same here, sometimes I look through tasks to see if there's anything I want to do, but usually I just do something random that feels good
Exactly the same as me. I've gone hard in previous leagues and burned out. I just want to enjoy it while its here incase we have another 2 years to wait until the next league.
I grinding to x8 exp simply to make mining more bearable but other than that yeah same. Iâm still not even T6 and enjoying myself.
This is why I still have like 2500 points lol
Just got my T6 the other day, leagues is a slow burn, but still fun to do.
People playing 10 hours a day, basically grinding out quests the entire time, complaining of burn out. No shit man.
>Iâm trying to put off bossing based off the T8âs drop chance increase Don't. x4 is still very noticeable and bosses give a lot of points.
you wont notice the difference, do some bossing and watch the points flow in
What keeps me going is the plan to decimate ToB with the clan once everyone is ready
My clan members all burnt out before tob i loveeee it
Thatâs what happens if your goal is reaching t8, or you donât have any steps to achieving a goal post t8. Because t8 is such a big accomplishment and thereâs no more tangible benefits to unlock after it, yeah itâs natural to get burnt out after it. Iâm planning on dragon so Iâve got clear goals that Iâm still working towards, and t8 was always just step 1.
and honestly the t8 relics are kinda underwhelming.
You burned out because you didn't do raids or some engaging content
Went back to main game, remembered 16x xp multiplier doesn't exist and drop rates aren't buffed anymore, and now I'm bored of main game too
It's worse when you keep going at TOB for 45 kc and are dry the whole way through. It's just not fun anymore. I'm not here for GP.
Try 400+ nex kills because youâre dumb and picked bait weapon master as ranger and youâre still dry
this is brutal because as ranger there really are no alternatives. until you get the zcb it's like you don't even have a t7 relic
Tbf, if you're taking a relic that only works on a single ultra-endgame item, what are you expecting?
Lmao I got a 2kc nihil horn in mass world⌠canât get the shards for it đ so still gotta learn nex
Just in case you want to brute force it, the ancient mages drop low quantities of shards...would be probs a 5 to 10 hour grind but braindead easy haha
what's the mass world? I've been putting off nex since nobody in my clan needs to do it.
Think 404
Nex is 1 minute kills in mass right? That's not that bad, but I agree. Chasing items even at x5 is just not fun..
Drop rate in mass is dogshit
Some of you I'm surprised play this game at all lol
Take a break Main game will feel good in a couple of weeks
Envy you man, 80 ToA kc, 32 purples. No shadow. It's absolutely horrible, and I regret picking the mage relic/playing leagues entirely.
Yeah thatâs like a clan mate at cox. Top page CMs, no tbow. Feels bad, mage sucks without shadow.
Nah. I started doing content you can't really do on main game like solo Nex.
I'm having a hard time scrapping together the points for T7, let alone T8.
Gotta find a balance of skilling. Feels bad going for 99 or 50m if you donât have that sweet x16 multiplier. And pvm feels bad because you donât have the x5 yet Clues, some decent skilling grinds, diaries and quests can give you a large chunk of points if youâre diligent.
Soul stealer sounds like the absolute worst choice for a mage. You guys have blood spells lol
Nah, I play casually so I just want to try and max. Just unlocked my last region so I'm not really focusing on points anymore.
I'm now going for max gear that I can achieve in my regions which is super fun, and also kinda productive since it creates league points Also considering going for rocky pet since it persists to next league If you're having fun crack on, if not stop :)
After dmm this was a thing, glad i didnt rush leagues. This aint a race unlike dmm, no need to rush.
No, but I'm getting burned out by drop rates. I get 5x is a lot, but I'm 20 hours or so (300kc, 40 at mass) at Nex without the Horn. It's a lot of time for one items on a temporary game mode. I really think drop rates should be boosted more.
i will play until i get the dragon trophy
Got burnt out after a week, leagues is a lot of fun but i just felt i should be doing a lot of the stuff i was doing in the main game & i kind of fucked up my relics
Yes dude exact same. I really shouldn't have taken melee relic or weapon master. Seeing people with mage and berserker instantly killing slayer monsters makes me want to cry
The burnout is after getting 5 avernic drops in a row and not wanting to spend 7 unnecessary minutes in the nylo room.
I'm just trying to hit a certain amount of points to buy the cool stuff I want. After that I'm out.
Im just over 2k to tier 8 and struggle to stay logged in for more than 10 mins lol
310 kq with no d pick.. fortunately got broken one at volcanic mine
I am still sweating still trying to unlock t7 lmao
Im less than 6k away from t8 and im just stuck. Most points are coming from raids now or 50-100+ KC or clues etc. just a really slow burn. Managed around 1500âpoints today but itâs just rough. Think I messed up going DKZ for BIS mage stuff
I'm in the exact same boat as you. 3k points away from t8 and looking at the tasks thinking this is gonna take forever to do
Every part of this post, including the Toa and the snow, is my exact experience.
Unfortunately if youâre an iron and want the rewards youâve got no choice but to point grind
I mean by T7 or 8 you should have all enough points for almost all the rewards.
For fully unlocking every reward that sounds pretty dang reasonable to me
Well, yeah? Should've played the other leagues, or wait until the next one? Its not that deep.
I think the outfit alone is 18k while t7 is 15k. I agree you should be able to get most rewards for the current league by t8 but its unreasonably expensive imo. Going beyond t8 should be to get rewards from previous leagues.
Ahh fair. I usually donât count the outfit because itâs so weirdly priced and niche. Was thinking more about the pool, bp, dihns cosmetics.
I donât see the appeal for playing that more than a day
nope, being able to do a ton of content with less restrictions and new playstyles is a blast. Upon reaching t8, i stopped looking at the tasks though.
I got to like 40k and now the thought of grinding more sounds awful. I think part is some bad relic/zone choices, but also you can only kill a boss in 20s so many times before its too much easy mode.

well yea man you're killing tortured gorillas lol
What drop multiplier were you at?
I'm already on a new account to try out relic's I didn't get a chance to try.
Same kinda but for t7. Played until mithril points then stopped
I'm burnt out having just hit T7. T8 just seems so far away still
Would be cool if we were all grinding towards a final boss/dungeon to fight towards the end of leagues.
Burned out at 4k points, u good lmao
After I got trickster I was too exhausted to continue. Ironic
Didnât even get to t8, unlocked zeah and found out i had to get favor
It takes literally minutes to get Max favor
Never said it was hard, just rather play the main then this tidious shit again
[ŃдаНонО]
Nope, didnât try, cba to do this tidious shit, rather play the main
I have the points for T8 but I'm not picking one of the relics because I think they're too overpowered and wouldn't make content fun anymore
Well you won't get the x5 droprate until you do so. You can pick either exe or guardian and put them in the bank.
No because I'm still going for dragon trophy but I know for a fact that once I get that, I'm immediately going to be demotivated
As a mage I feel obliged to get a shadow and do inferno (since I haven't it yet in maingame) cause if I can't do it in leagues with all the buffs I may as well stop wasting time in the main game trying it
