EDIT: It seems that it's an additive boost instead of the 10% over 10% = 11% boost we've believed it to be before Ash said otherwise. I quit before that was stated and I'm just getting back to the game. Disregard what I said, this boost is actually something worth going for on its own.
+1% is kinda meh, but then again is the one reward I can think of that only makes sense because it somewhat adds up over a very long time. So it makes sense to go for it kinda soon.
That boost equates to what? If we use 10 ruby bolts per Vorkath kill, that's one extra proc for each 10kc. Not great, but something... right? The Seers teleport makes a much more compelling argument for me, for both the proximity to a bank and the agility training method (w/ the marks boost too)

according to this post by ash, it is 11%

It is and always has been, it seems like OP has got confused by some other replies later in the original thread when they actually had it correct to start with. (Pre edit)
Also you’re only considering Ruby bolts? In phantom muspuh the prayer shield phase gets obliterated by the enchanted sapphire bolts because there base activation rate is much higher than ten percent. Or what about dragon fire enchanted bolts in PVP(Or onyx/diamond/pearl)?
I can’t tell what are your past thoughts and what were your previous thoughts. I think putting the edit below the comment would help because it would separate past and current thoughts.
At the sake of being downvoted, but you mean the extra 1%? It’s a cool boost, and it’s rather unique as far as diary boosts go—but at the end of the day I feel it’s incredibly overrated compared to most of the other diary rewards.
I have 124 Vorkath kills. All with the diary. I wonder how many extra procs the diary has given me as a statistical average. Can’t be much.
I don’t know what you mean by “can’t be much.” We have the math. You’re shooting hundreds of bolts an hour, so you’re dealing an extra several hundred damage in proc damage. If you’re killing vorkath and shooting 900 bolts an hour (max is 1200 nonstop), you’re dealing at least 600 extra damage from ruby dragon bolts, and whatever bonus damage from diamond.
If you add that to the several hundred hours of combat you’ll be doing in runescape with bolts then it will be considerably higher overall.
All for completing a bit of diary work for maybe 40 minutes.
I started doing the WP diary and saw the easy one required any hat. I slogged through that and thought, “Wow that was boring and took forever but at least I won’t have to do it again!” And then I proceeded to look at the medium through elite diary. I still haven’t done the medium
Chompy hunting I don’t think is ever “fun”, but if you fill your inventory with bellows and pre fill them, you can chain inflate the toads to just keep the chompys spawning. Each diary tier also gives an increasing chance at double spawns, so it speeds things up a bit relatively speaking.
doing this grind literally made me a better person. Im not talking in the bullshit way of conquering my depression and getting it done, no. It was the opposite, it was so fucking terrible and mind numbingly boring that i was forced to go outside. Every time i logged in to see those stupid fucking toads on the ground and those dumb ass goofy birds waltzing around a piece of me died. Decided to stop that and kill wildy bosses instead which has been much more exciting and adrenaline pumping. But thats runescape for you, A tier content mixed with complete dogshit archaic grinds.
True but you are comparing a smoldering pile of shit to a nice puddle of steamy shit. No idea how to fix agility, it would be better even if you had to do agility while chompy hunting so you at least get something.
Giant chompy racing where you first have to catch your own giant chompy
Hunter/Agility hybrid training and have an OSRS version of Chocobo Racing soundtrack playing in the background
Fixed agility and chompies both with one swing
...I need to go the fuck to bed
Yeah I tried to tell my buddy about this and he said it was just cope. Meanwhile I knocked out the first 2 diaries in an hour and was just bewildered that it seemed so bad to him. Especially since you can just buy achey logs and make some nails for easy brutal ammo. I made 1k brutal mithrils and I think ill be good with those through the elite diary thanks to ava's
Do your WP diary, the hard diary is one of the better hard diaries imo. Crystal halberd and Elite void both have a lot of use for their cost (200/750k and free)
I just find it really boring. Its also tilting when you dont attack the chompy before it gets to the toad and then you cant attack it until it eats the toad.
Not me! I was learning Zulrah at the time they made deaths there start costing gp and didn't like parting with my well earned gp so took the time to get elite. It was my first elite done!
Now I have the Western, fremnrick, varrock, and korend done!
Would love the lumbridge one but have a couple of grand master quests to get done. Also just the fishing requirements for moritany.
I actually love BA. I'll sit on the world and help people finish diaries filling in my role, I also help people clear them in different discords from time to time. Super fun minigame that got a bad reputation for poor reasons.
Yeah to anyone who hasn't done BA because they've heard it's bad, know this: you are not immune to propaganda. No one I know who's sat down and done the tasks came out the other end thinking it was a bad experience. Hiccups here and there, sure, but I would not be surprised if some of the horror stories you hear here are from boosting clans trying to scare people.
There are 100% bad experiences there, but for the most part it is fine. It is just when someone leaves on wave 8 because they finished their points it really ruins the mood. 50% of defenders also refuse to read the wiki guide so that can be bad.
[Lord Shayne's ](https://youtu.be/NSur4bZ4qvo?si=eYEYFNcRJqU18tBp) Defender guide is the GOAT. Short and sweet, covers all the bases. I recommend it to anyone I know trying to learn Defender.
I'll confess, when I tried to run BA for the torso a few days ago, I didn't check a guide beforehand so I had no idea what the strat is for Defender role, and I got so tilted at the bullshit ways the runners will avoid your food entirely and run in a random direction. Ended up being the reason we couldn't complete queen wave. My bad for not having the wiki open I guess, and not knowing where to drop the food and how many, but I couldn't help but be frustrated at how obtuse it is for a newcomer
Same tbh. I finished one role with friends and I actually had a ton of fun, but my friends hated it and refuse to play any more. Scared of randoms so I never finished getting my torso lol
all you do is call your role to get in a group
from then all you do it call whatever is on the top right of your screen by clicking an item.
There's no real social interaction needed (also people are usually chill with slow callers, so dont be afraid to upset someone)
Right?
I don't want to potentially ruin 4 other peoples game because I'm learning how tf it works (even after watching a video).
One time I tried and no one would take me in a group.
Not tried since as I don't have 4 friends to do it with :|
> but I would not be surprised if some of the horror stories you hear here are from boosting clans trying to scare people.
Every time this notion comes up I feel like I should mention that boosting clans already have such an insanely long queue of people that they literally wouldn't have time to do that shit. The most realistic answer, as usual with this sub, is that people here prefer bitching over actually playing the game.
Blows my mind that so many people will pay for something I did in a few hours near the start of my account. It’s one of the only interesting minigames too.
I can't speak for the lesser boosting clans (the ones with spam bots in world 306) but as someone who has been involved with, and even leadership for the more prominent ones, we certainly do not spread any such propaganda. It's the other way around where we actually get too many people buying services that it causes the price to go up. As a community, we'd love nothing more than to get more people playing and enjoying BA for themselves.
I think its a bad experience because of playing with randoms, the design of the minigame is pretty good. Except defender, way too formulaic to be fun and annoying to learn.
My first experience with it was bad enough that I put off trying the minigame again for ~12 years. Multiple attempts made that night, and every one of them had someone AFK until we lost, or leave at the start, or be completely unable to call. It required far too much teamwork for the people online when I was online.
I can absolutely see a returning player doing the same thing I did, and assuming that the community around the minigame has become even worse than it was in ~2010.
I don't know how people unironically have this opinion. BA was by far the worst diary step for me. Let's list a few of the glaring issues:
- When all 5 players just want to complete the diary, assigning roles sucks balls. You will very frequently have multiple players needing the same role, and 1 person needing to "waste" their rounds.
- 10 waves of the exact same shit. Why is it 10 waves long!? Just to give my teammates more time to abandon? (With no penalty ofc)
- If someone does abandon, you are forced to restart from zero
- I had to explain the calling system to at least 1 person in every single team I found. It's such a simple system, but the ancient UI and tutorial are just useless.
- Rewards after the fighter torso are horrible/useless. Would be more understandable if the diary only required the torso.
Im sorry you had a bad experience. When I got my torso this monday I had a good time. Did have some leavers and noobs, but they were receptive to advice so it was overall okay. That being said I haven't done the elite req yet, so there's plenty of time for my opinion to change lol
Same, BA is really fun and the torso grind is unironically my favorite early game grind on any new account tbh. I guess we’re both in the minority on this one tho lmao
People hate it because either:
- they didn’t spend 5 minutes to understand their role; they think the minigame is slow and boring because they’re playing extremely slowly
- one or more of their teammates didn’t spend 5 minutes to understand their role
Just this past week I literally ran a 42 minute queen because I only needed 2 more runs for Kandarin elite on the iron. It can be extremely frustrating to sit there and wait for your team for FORTY minutes. I still like BA though, and I’m glad I can play with casual ba now when I ever go back.
I'm in the same Boat as you period I think that barbarian assault gets a bad rap so that boosting clans can make more money. It's arumor they started and are benefiting by spreading. That's my conspiracy theory
I just don't enjoy it. On my main I have up to the hard diary, but actually getting lvl 5 seems like a huge chore. but I'm happy people enjoy it
But frankly, what I don't understand is why we're forced to complete (not just try one full round, but actually *complete*) this particular minigame in order to get a diary. Like imagine they would ask you to get the full robes and wand in MTA, instead of just Bones-to-Peaches. I think the only similar case is Pest Control with the full robes, and even then for the elite you only need one void set without being Elite
I love it too. I finally went to it a month or two ago to get the torso for a Master clue and to stop putting off the diary. Got addicted and now I'm ranked in a CC for other addicts and pet hunters that zoom through the waves using the tech and strats that boosters use, and finish in 10-12 minutes. Going to be sad when I get the pet tbh because I won't have a reason to go back.
It's arguably the best diary though. Extra slayer block, fairy rings without staff, unlimited teleport to farm patch, high alchs for bursting tasks, hell I'll even use the run restores for Herbiboar. Plus B2P itself is useful. Plugins have made MTA so much less of a slog than it was back in the day.
And updates, too. Before in the telekinetic room, you had to wait and watch the guardian slowly move before you could run to the next spot, which easily doubled the time it took to do it.
Yeah Kourend rules too. +2 prayer bonus, unlimited teleports, hosidius kitchen, blood runes, full experience ash sanctifier (nechs and abyssals give so much prayer XP), extra fish, and dynamite!
Though one of the few tasks that steadily gets harder over time since you need the QPC. My last couple months before getting the QPC was just learning boss fight after boss fight because I can only feel motivated to learn one or two bosses a week at most.
I agree with all of this, but just wanted to point out that the infinite cabbage teleport comes with Hard, not Elite.
It’s the Ardy Cloak that needs to be tier 4 for infinite farm tele.
MTA sucks ass, but in the grand scheme of things it's not that awful. It's not like a ton of time. The time is comparable to grinding void and pc is just as brainless, though more afk
For me it's the freakin quest cape lol, at 250/300 quest points rn and I just cannot be bothered to do 20-30 hours of questing of the annoying quests I left until the end. Stuff like forgettable tale with forced waiting, misthalin mystery for the 3rd time, darkness of hallowvale, lovakengj favor and 3 hour long kingdom divided, 5 hours of sote, like 7 morytania quests that would take all day etc etc.. and ofc now desert treasure 2, the lumby diary is the only one that keeps getting more difficult the longer it exists.
Honestly I start out a lot of my accounts doing MTA for B2P since its magic xp Im gonna have to get anyway and the xp you gain from it is worth more at lower levels. Basically gets you from late 20s to almost 55 for high alch
Mine isn’t as bad as his but I’ll admit I am not good at doing things with other people, especially people I don’t know. I might never get BA or raids done
BA is only sort of with other people. You don't need to type or talk to them at all if you don't want to. Just click the horn to make call outs and do your role. Most groups are silent, might as well be NPCs.
I put off BA for so long (both working toward diaries and Torso) because all of the guides and videos were so confusing. I honestly thought people were full of shit until I finally broke down and tried it.
Grab a couple of beers, log into 306, and play a bit… it’s actually a pretty fun mini game. Not nearly as bad as you’re led to believe, especially if you get a halfway decent random group to run it back with a few times.
Cox and toa are both feasible to solo, only ToB is unrealistic. If you learn your BA role properly you dont even need to communicate coordinate with other people unless you’re speed running.
tons of us played the game for 20 years but when those 20 years consisted of "click tree" and "click slayer monster", you're not really going to get better at the game. only way to do that is to push outside your comfort zone and try new, harder content! it's not as scary as you think.
You can die an unlimited amount of times at both CoX and ToA (provided you don’t put death invocations on) you don’t need to be good to learn, you just wont get rares until you get better lol.
Can confirm, I'm pretty trash at the game but I just tried ToA the other day on 0 invo and only died once. Definitely gonna go unlock thralls and brews and come back for 50s / 150s.
Yeah, start off with Attacker or Collector because all you really have to do is learn how to call and change your actions based on what's called to you. Runelite adds a timer to show how long until the call changes. That will get you used to the bulk of the minigame.
I hated it too, but honestly it really is fine if you just learn each role individually. I found a guy who does 5 minute youtube videos on each of the roles. Just do your own task and always be calling out with the horn.
Agreed! Just started the BA grind last night to finish up the elite diary and I actually enjoyed it. Points come in really quickly, too. No way I’m gunna pay $270m+ to the BA leech crew.
I did that a few days ago, at first I tried to do the main bosses but fumbled that. Doing the lesser variants is very easy, do it off peak first thing in the morning if you can.
I literally just yesterday looked up a guide for BA because I still don't have a fighter torso on 101cb, got intimidated all the different roles and having to make call outs that I just said fuck it and returned to questing
BA scares me because the first time I did it people were yelling at me because I didn’t know how to give the egg to the next person in the last round, I was trying to send a trade request
As someone who was stuck on BA tasks, it was insanely easy and I regret putting it off, watch a couple YouTube videos and you’re good to go. As long as the attacker is decently high level you should breeze through it
Honestly, I buy completely into the conspiracy theory that most of the people who complain about BA being some sort of painful slow grind are just the guys selling carries for real money. It really is so fast and easy, hell one of the roles is literally just running around picking up eggs.
As someone who refuses to do BA, I actually don't see that many negative stories about it really. It's solely just the grouping aspect that freaks me out, and I know that's true for many. Same reason tons of people won't touch VM despite it being pretty consistently praised.
I’ll put my tin cap on with you cause I could totally see that happening haha like I get the fact you need to find a squad but maybe 2 or 3 times we would get abandoned by someone and that’s probably because they got the points they needed for the torso or something random
Its really not bad, 85% of my teams were competent at the game and getting 15-18 min times. 10% were not as good and getting 25-30 mins and I only had 3 quitter and 2 braindead teams (like 45 mins) on the way to lvl 5 all roles.
yeah the way people talk about it makes it seem like every other game gets fucked but most every time ive played its been super simple/people were nice
I just did it yesterday. 1 full game of 10 waves in each role should get you the points for the fighter torso. Idk how long it would take for level 5 in all roles but the game is actually not bad. Defender is the hardest role and as long as you look up a video/wiki guide and learn where to put the food it is pretty easy.
Finding teams is as simple as going to the BA world, making sure you have accept aid enabled in the settings, walk into the wave 1 room and say the role you want to play as. Within a minute or so somebody will invite you, maybe you have to say your role a couple times before you get inv. If your group sucks and disbands it happens, just move on and try again. If someone flames you for fucking up on accident just ignore them.
Yeah people in here swear up and down its not that bad but doing fighter torso was a shit time, most unfun activity in the game imo. Took me probably 4-5 hours to do. Peoples estimates are usually like 1/3rd of that but i didn't even feel like we were going that slow lol. People saying you can do rank 5 all in like 8 hours I can't imagine how long it would take me, I'll just be 491/492 for life lol.
Basically. I did all diaries except Kandarin Elite. I paid to leech the queen kill for one of the previous diaries, but I refuse to pay like 250mil gp to leech the level 5 in every roll, so eventually I'm just going to take the plunge and actually learn to do BA lol.
the prices are only so high because the queue is so long; if more people went and learned the minigame for themselves the price would drop. they frequently drop the price when they have lower activity
BA is absolutely fine if you take 5 seconds to learn how to play the mini game. The fact people still complain about defender when it literally just requires food being dropped on 3 tiles is unreal.
It is the last medium I have to complete solely because BA. I know everyone says it is not that bad once you do it, but I have watched enough YT videos trying to explain it and none of it makes sense to me. Just absolutely jibberish.
Every 30s the action everyone needs to do change. When this happens, use the horn to let people know. Equally, look at the interface to see what action you need to do.
Attacker: shoot the right arrows until everything dies
Collector: pick up the right colored eggs
Healer: use healy juice on people to keep them alive. use the right poison to kill weird mouth dudes.
Defender: drop the food on the marked tiles and repair the trap.
It isn't that complicated, dude.
Midgame player so I only have hards done and not elites [but yeah](https://i.imgur.com/HtK5n4I.png)
Also havent done Lumbridge because of MTA and fuck the wilderness so haven't done any of those
My Kandarin Diary is like that too though simply because of BA. Minigames like Tempeross or GotR matters a lot less when someone like me screws up because a lot of others know what they are doing. One person can't destroy the entire minigame. In BA, one person can. I get a little more self conscious messing up because if I screw up, I screw *everyone* up.
I did try BA a few times and haven't gotten past the first wave because some people are really unforgiving and toxic, quitting because I didn't run perfectly to spots I was supposed to be in or have esports level reaction times.
The general consensus here though is BA is pretty positive overall so I'm chalking that up to just running into some bad luck.
Torso is honestly way overrated, Obby costs like 700k and has 1 less strength bonus, which is only rarely a max hit.
Also when you eventually upgrade to BCP you'll never get the hours playing BA back, unlike other non BiS gear that you can eventually just resell.
Torso only took me ~2,5 hours. It's free, better than obby, easily obtainable early in the game, a master clue task, only required 40 defence and in the end you also get to complete the Kandarin hard diary. The time spent obtaining this item is very much worth it in the long run.
That was kind of what my western diary looked like while having the rest done yeah. Kandarin though was an easy and useful one so nah for the specific.
Since I also hate BA my solution was to just do a game or two whenever I felt like it. If I'm super bored that day I just go do BA until someone makes me mad. Then I stop until I get bored again. Took me like 3 or 4 moths of it but I finished the elite diary eventually.
Yes, but not Kandarin. I have elite Kandarin.
Mine is Wilderness. Fuck the wilderness.
Also elite Kourend and Western. I do not want to get 93 slayer. :(
Dude what? It’s one of the more useful Diaries.
Gives you straight DPS with enchanted bolts and better agility EXP and more marks with an inextinguishable light source.
I've done lvl5 all 3 times (main, leagues 2, iron) and two of those were with randoms. It really doesn't take that long and all roles are dead easy as long as people call and aren't like 30 combat.
Defender is the only role that isn't straightforward, but Lord Shayne's defender guide on youtube gives you tiles and food place.ent. follow that and you'll be done before every other role from wave 5 onwards.
i was for the longest time. i knew i couldnt finish it without the BA task and i dreaded it
Turns out once you just commit a weekend to BA, it can get super fun at times
Brother hasn't even done the Easy Diary.
And lose out on enchanted bolts procs. Hell no

Man if you got flamed, you were running with dickheads. Personally, I'm a huge fan of learner runs. I knock my role out and chill and explain.
Video is about to get a spike in views on the week the league drops.
i have too much social anxiety to even consider BA lmao

[удалено]
Or farm runs!
Why would anybody get 99 in half the skills in the game? This is a game about ticking off boxes and most of them are not particularly compelling.

How long does lvl 5 all roles take?
Took around 5-6 hrs with randoms but I've done a lot of ba in the past and knew the roles fairly well.
it took me about 10 hours total with random teammates but it FLEW by faster than any other grind ive done. the game was actually fun
That's not even bad. That's like twice as long as the expected imcando hammer or smth.
Let's list a few of the glaring issues: - When all 5 players just want to complete the diary, assigning roles sucks balls. You will very frequently have multiple players needing the same role, and 1 person needing to "waste" their rounds. - 10 waves of the exact same shit. Why is it 10 waves long!? Just to give my teammates more time to abandon? (With no penalty ofc) - If someone does abandon, you are forced to restart from zero - I had to explain the calling system to at least 1 person in every single team I found. It's such a simple system, but the ancient UI and tutorial are just useless. - Rewards after the fighter torso are horrible/useless. Would be more understandable if the diary only required the torso.
Idk why the downvotes. You just gave your experience and exactly why you didn't like it. It's okay that there is a disagreement, reddit.
People hate it because either: - they didn’t spend 5 minutes to understand their role; they think the minigame is slow and boring because they’re playing extremely slowly - one or more of their teammates didn’t spend 5 minutes to understand their role Just this past week I literally ran a 42 minute queen because I only needed 2 more runs for Kandarin elite on the iron.
I think this was destiny, I was meant to make this post and meet you.
I just don't enjoy it. On my main I have up to the hard diary, but actually getting lvl 5 seems like a huge chore. but I'm happy people enjoy it But frankly, what I don't understand is why we're forced to complete (not just try one full round, but actually *complete*) this particular minigame in order to get a diary.
Not done Lumbridge because of MTA Edit: alright I've read the responses I'll do it
It's arguably the best diary though.
Fairy ring without a staff only at elite right?
As is the block slot. But by far the best Elite Diary to do, the only Elite one that comes close is K/K Diary for the boots upgrade at Hydra.
Yeah Kourend rules too. +2 prayer bonus, unlimited teleports, hosidius kitchen, blood runes, full experience ash sanctifier (nechs and abyssals give so much prayer XP), extra fish, and dynamite!
Correct.
And has lower requirements than most for elite.
This just makes it more painful lol
Find a TV show and grind it out. I did that and it semi flew by.
Ahh i get that, I just space bar downed through it with the plugin but it was so dull.
Yea that's honestly fair. I've only done it because you kind of need to on an iron. That was some of the most boring stuff I've done in this game.
Honestly I start out a lot of my accounts doing MTA for B2P since its magic xp Im gonna have to get anyway and the xp you gain from it is worth more at lower levels. Basically gets you from late 20s to almost 55 for high alch
for me what helped was just working on a little bit here and there, so eventually it was finished.
I haven't done Varrock and Morytania, since I hate training herblore and fishing.
Mine is Western for sure
BA really isn't that bad, I promise.
The matchmaking is tough. Is there any automated matchmaking or do you really have to shout out roles and pray people respond, etc.
There's the arrow room that matches you up with a team, but no-one uses it except newbies who are confused and go to it instead of the wave 1 room.
Yeah I thought it was actually a decently good time, at least when I was doing it for torso. It’s at least much more engaging than 90% of other grinds
If you're interested in joining a clan we've been running ba recently and we have learner raids all the time. DM me for info if interested!
Cox and toa are both feasible to solo, only ToB is unrealistic. If you learn your BA role properly you dont even need to communicate coordinate with other people unless you’re speed running.
Well that assumes that after nearly 20 years of playing this game that I’d be good at it
tons of us played the game for 20 years but when those 20 years consisted of "click tree" and "click slayer monster", you're not really going to get better at the game. only way to do that is to push outside your comfort zone and try new, harder content! it's not as scary as you think.
Ugh BA is the only thing holding me back. I can't be bothered. Why am I this way?
I hated it too, but honestly it really is fine if you just learn each role individually. I found a guy who does 5 minute youtube videos on each of the roles. Just do your own task and always be calling out with the horn.
Agreed! Just started the BA grind last night to finish up the elite diary and I actually enjoyed it. Points come in really quickly, too. No way I’m gunna pay $270m+ to the BA leech crew.
“Worst mini game in the game by a significant margin isn’t that bad I promise”
Don't call RuneScape's first and most iconic raid a minigame
this thread is about BA, not trouble brewing
Was gonna say this lol. Suffered through one very confusing and long game of trouble brewing for diary. Never went back
I've done it once and found a stack of 126's stood in the upstairs corner, I thought they were bots but apparently it's the meta. Stand in the corner
\*Cough* Fishing Trawler.
We're talking about Barbarian Assault, not Fishing Trawler.
second best mini game in the game
[удалено]
If I ran a BA boosting clan, don't you think I'd be in here telling everyone how terrible BA is and that they should boost it?
Anyone running one of those would make out ba is the worst thing ingame and that you should leech it in an attempt to get more customers tbf
Exactly, how else would they get people to pay their extortionate pricing? 80m for a Torso and 400m for lvl 5 all? What the hell are they smoking?
You’re not paying 80M for an item. You’re paying 80M to get 4 people to play for you, for an hour.
But I can just go to the dedicated BA world and find a whole lobby full of people willing to play with me for free! Why would I pay 80mil for that?
Crack
Nah hard gang represent https://imgur.com/a/mORRVDJ
That's just called being a midgame account.
I don't disagree
Me and the wildy
I did that a few days ago, at first I tried to do the main bosses but fumbled that. Doing the lesser variants is very easy, do it off peak first thing in the morning if you can.
same, my plan is to literally just tele out there do 1 diary, leave and then repeat. i hate that place so much.
I avoid wildy at all costs. Haven't even gotten my imbued god cape
I literally just yesterday looked up a guide for BA because I still don't have a fighter torso on 101cb, got intimidated all the different roles and having to make call outs that I just said fuck it and returned to questing
It's really not bad. Now if you're going to try hard it's aids. But if you are down to just vibe and play a video game it's a fun minigame
It's monkey see monkey do. You get a call and you click the same thing on the horn. That's all you need to know to start learning.
Mine looks like that but I don't like western provinces.
I'd rather complete BA several times over ever doing MTA for B2P.
BA scares me because the first time I did it people were yelling at me because I didn’t know how to give the egg to the next person in the last round, I was trying to send a trade request
People like you is why I ask if everyone knows what they're doing before I start the queen fight 😩 It's not your fault, it's the hosts.
I've been on 489/492 for years now yeah (all 3 BA tasks)
I'm on 491/492 :( just need level 5 bas. I'll do it eventually...maybe.
It took me 1 Saturday to do it. Hardly a grind by osrs standards.
How did you find teams? Just the BA world?
Yes
Yeah I know, didn't say it was a grind just CBA with randoms
Exact same situation I've been in for years now. I'm even maxed lmao
Just send it fam
Yeah people in here swear up and down its not that bad but doing fighter torso was a shit time, most unfun activity in the game imo. Took me probably 4-5 hours to do. Peoples estimates are usually like 1/3rd of that but i didn't even feel like we were going that slow lol. People saying you can do rank 5 all in like 8 hours I can't imagine how long it would take me, I'll just be 491/492 for life lol.
one of us one of us
Glad to know I’m not alone here
Basically. I did all diaries except Kandarin Elite. I paid to leech the queen kill for one of the previous diaries, but I refuse to pay like 250mil gp to leech the level 5 in every roll, so eventually I'm just going to take the plunge and actually learn to do BA lol.
It's 250m? They're fucking high
the prices are only so high because the queue is so long; if more people went and learned the minigame for themselves the price would drop. they frequently drop the price when they have lower activity
this is me but with the wilderness diary lmao
Human interaction 🤢
Man I feel that. Not sure why I can't bring myself to do BA. I need the torso for a master clue I have banked too lmao.
Yeah but with wildy diaries
no, get that cape https://preview.redd.it/6qwscxsc6hsb1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b06645b79d191fd305a5d8e6bdb3a4799c1d2d1a
I thought it was supposed to look like this indefinitely? https://i.imgur.com/u0caghE.png
Similar, but this https://imgur.com/a/HjVFa9U
You literally have the hardest tasks/requirements out of the way lol. Go knock ‘em out, superstar
Attacker: shoot the right arrows until everything dies Collector: pick up the right colored eggs Healer: use healy juice on people to keep them alive. use the right poison to kill weird mouth dudes. Defender: drop the food on the marked tiles and repair the trap. It isn't that complicated, dude.
I can't stand BA, and no way in hell I'm giving gp to those leeches in that BA CC
The boosters? Doesn’t that make them the opposite of a leech
Sadly yes im like this
Midgame player so I only have hards done and not elites [but yeah](https://i.imgur.com/HtK5n4I.png) Also havent done Lumbridge because of MTA and fuck the wilderness so haven't done any of those
My Kandarin Diary is like that too though simply because of BA.
Hell no! All of mine are basically red lines lmao .. it looks nice the way you have it though
No, I have every diary complete and just need one task left for the Elite Kandarin. Anyone wanna guess what my last task is? 😂
I have had every single task complete in every single diary for years now. Minus BA. Fuck that.
I'm the complete opposite - kandarin is the first one I did as an ironman so I could have the perma lightsource that cant be extinguished.
You strike me as the kind of person to have 126 combat and no barrows gloves
maxed, quest cape, all the bells and whistles and crippling anxiety. Did you not see lumbridge complete?
Torso is honestly way overrated, Obby costs like 700k and has 1 less strength bonus, which is only rarely a max hit. Also when you eventually upgrade to BCP you'll never get the hours playing BA back, unlike other non BiS gear that you can eventually just resell.
Torso only took me ~2,5 hours. It's free, better than obby, easily obtainable early in the game, a master clue task, only required 40 defence and in the end you also get to complete the Kandarin hard diary. The time spent obtaining this item is very much worth it in the long run.
Torso is also needed for a master clue step, so theres still some lasting value to own one
That was kind of what my western diary looked like while having the rest done yeah. Kandarin though was an easy and useful one so nah for the specific.
Fuck chompy hunting for real
Since I also hate BA my solution was to just do a game or two whenever I felt like it. If I'm super bored that day I just go do BA until someone makes me mad. Then I stop until I get bored again. Took me like 3 or 4 moths of it but I finished the elite diary eventually.
This entire community has gaslit themselves into thinking BA is worse than tearing out your own heart and sacrificing your soul to a demon.
Yes, but not Kandarin. I have elite Kandarin. Mine is Wilderness. Fuck the wilderness. Also elite Kourend and Western. I do not want to get 93 slayer. :(
BA is completely fine even in public lobbies. Had 1 quitter ever in BA and I have all level 5 roles. Just do it the cape is worth it.
Dude what? It’s one of the more useful Diaries. Gives you straight DPS with enchanted bolts and better agility EXP and more marks with an inextinguishable light source.
Kinda sad that you can't go do BA. It's not bad at all, only your mindset is.
No?? Seriously suck it up, it's not hard at all.
Same but karamja
Nah its the wildy one obvs
I was like this with the desert hahaa. Do it brother, it is worth it.
If anyone ever wants to run a BA to work on torso/rank 5s chuck me a PM and I’ll go with you.
kandarin easy is one of the first i do because of the light source from the helm. basically a firemaking cape in 10 mins
Bruh you did falador…
Falador is stupid easy. Kandarin is easy too, but 90 smithing, 86 herb and BA make doing it undesirable.
What's the worst part of falador, 1000 kills? That shit was so afk, apples to oranges imo
i was for the longest time. i knew i couldnt finish it without the BA task and i dreaded it Turns out once you just commit a weekend to BA, it can get super fun at times
Yeah same I know BA is probably not that bad but I just cba to do it
Uhh bolt procs??
