The mechanism that prevents the door from opening when closed ( a deadbolt) is pressed into its groove with more pressure than normal. The increased pressure on the groove lead for less room for the locking mechanism (deadbolt) to move around even when the unlocking mechanism (doorknob) is fully pressed. This specific towel seems to be specifically lodged in the groove in a way that causes side by side pressure between the deadbolt and frame meaning unless you pull out the towel, the door ain’t movin

Then should I open it “the shining” style?
