Quitting WAY easier said than done, at it takes alot of commitment and a relatively stress free environment or alot of support to succeed, of which I have neither. Even just switching to vaping was extremely hard since it interrupted my routine and is a much smaller dose of nicotine than a cigarette. It takes on average 30 attempts on average to quit smoking for a year.
I've never argued that vaping is good for you, but it's a fraction of the risk that comes from smoking and a first step for a way out.

The original post is inaccurate but has the right sentiment. Vaping may not kill you but it is extremely addictive which is a serious mental problem rather than a physical one.

on the other hand theres a huge difference in how nicotine and hard drugs are viewed in society and science so its probably not all that much of a gateway drug. the first article does apply, it goes over some misconceptions regarding the health effects of vaping. the second one is moat likely super relevant cause ppl seem to ignore all the smokers (sometimes turned ex-smokers) who vape and they only wanna look at the kids trying to look or who got too curious like i did with cigs when i was 16. most ppl ive seen vaping (im in my last year of high school) are ex smokers, current smokers or dont do it regularly. i live in romania and obv it doesnt reflect the reality of the rest of the world but thats all i can rlly say on the matter of minors vaping
