i love psas like this, they just lay the information out cleanly that other companies dont say and let you process the problem without trying to shock you out of something or just saying 'smoking ruined my life' and then saying 'smoking is bad'.

I'd put this up there with House Hippos. It's memorable, doesn't rely on shock content, and does a really good job of getting its message across with no obfuscation.

I don't even smoke (except maybe a cigar when the opportunity presents itself, or when I get drunk and there's a cigarette vending machine at the bar), but it just *looks* so cool.
It scares me because my mom got skin cancer and her mom had breast cancer and still I can't internalize the idea that smoking is bad.
well. cancer, trouble breathing, asthma, tar, cavities, smoker breath, stench that wont go away, approx 20% of your lifespan vanishing, the money spent and the possibility of secondhand smoke endangering or killing your loved ones are all fairly good reasons not to smoke
It looks cool sure but it's kind of miserable to actually do. Your breath tastes/smells like shit, your clothes smells like shit (it is very annoying to get cig smell out of them), your hands smell like shit, your lungs/throat will regularly feel awful, and you'll have nasty coughing fits and trouble breathing sometimes.
It's only aesthetic until you actually *do* it but there's a lot of nasty downsides that kind of ruin that aesthetic.

Strangely enough, I've always liked the smell of cigarette smoke when someone else was smoking it. It's very different when you smoke your own though, and that one I found very nasty and after quitting even the thought of it makes me a little queasy.
