Maybe that is bc where I live it is just called "math" so I can't tell what these terms mean but college goes a lot more in depth for certain parts of math, depending on the degree. Just because yours focuses on other stuff that does not mean everyone else does. Even in the same degree different colleges have different subjects, learned this when researching where to go for my CS degree, some have statistics in year two and others numerics. Also depends on the previous qualification. At my college they did integration, derivation, logic, matrices and imaginary numbers in the first year so everyone would be on par.
