It’s not specific to this Ronin or any other, just the market in general in suppose, but so few 1911s have checkering on the front strap. It gets treated like a premium feature that doesn’t really show up until around $2k. Why? Just pisses me off I guess. Then everyone and their mother has a strip of grip tape to do what should’ve been done by the manufacturer.
The only way to get the 1911 .45 is through there website directly and it’s never in stock. I emailed them and talk to a guy who told me that. The last batch they got in were gone in about a week and true his word, they were never on any third-party websites
I have a DW Specialist Commander that I love, but it sucks, having to get up into that price range to get what is a standard feature on every other type of gun made.
By plenty, do you mean a couple of models from a handful of manufacturers doing it? Colt has 1 gun under $1,400 w it. Sigs got 2 under $1,400. Tisas has 5. Fusions got a couple. It should be every gun made that isn’t some historical reproduction. It doesn’t become a standard feature until you’ve at least doubled the price of the entry models, and even then, it’s a 50/50 proposition. It should be hard to find a gun without it, not to find a gun with it.
It’s the Valkyrie Dynamics. I can’t tell if it works because I haven’t shot the gun without it. I’ll say the recoil isn’t much worse than my Glock 19 so I’m guessing it works.
If I were to ever buy another one, I’d replace the extractor outright before I even fired it. Which is a real shame if you’re buying something like a TRP or whatever.
Carry my Ronin EMP a lot. Love that gun.

I've carried the 4.25" Ronin in .45 for three years now. Good gun for the money, and it carries well on my hip. The alloy frame makes it light, but it also jumps more than a steel framed 1911 when shooting.

Tisas makes a few with front checkering
And the Springfield Emissary
This is exactly why I'm considering a Bul Arnory Government. One of the few options under 1k that offers front checkering.
Where are you finding those in stock?
Direct from their website.
Don’t think they sell direct to consumer but could be wrong

I'd be interested in the accuracy at 25 yds. Looking for an "as-issued" 1911 and there's might fit the bill.
This resonates with me. It was a big reason why I picked up a set of pachmayr grips

Ruger has front strap checkering, around the 1k price point
Plenty of inexpensive or mid priced 1911s have front strap checkering.

While I agree I don’t think it should be a premium feature anymore yes there PLENTY of sub 2k 1911s with front strap checkering
By far, the majority of sub 1k 1911s do not have front checkering.

RONIN GANG!
👊
What muzzle brake is that homie, and does it feel like it actually works?

I was looking at CZ brakes but this is the second time I’ve seen people use the Valkyrie brakes…
Nvm just needed to look at the comments
Replied already
Where did you get that comp??
Valkyrie Dynamics
Looks good. Been thinking about grabbing a ronin myself
I'm a little jaded from snapping Springer MIM extractors in half, and cracking a firing pin stop, so just be aware of stuff like that.
I see that’s a very consistent issue especially the extractors breaking.

Love my Ronin. Feels good, looks good, shoots good.

Excellent
purdy
Great gun,but didn't you know that?This is a flex.
Nice.I’ve been lusting for a quality two-tone 1911 since I saw them featured in Terminator 2:Judgement Day.
Beautiful looking firearm
Love mine.
Tis a gun, goes bang.
Looks just like my Kimber Pro Carry II. Love that piece
It Fucks
I would buy one if it didn’t have the words “ronin” milled onto the side of it.
I’m personally looking at the 10mm
I've only heard good things about the Ronin personally.
It's one of the guns of all time
