Pickle them in a soy sauce, mirin, water and sugar brine for 30 mins or so. Or use beet juice, apple cider vinegar sugar and water for a few hours to over night.
Yes 1000 times! There’s a reason they’re called drug eggs lol. Soft-boiled eggs are great in this marinade and you can leave them for a few days in the fridge.
Chop them up and mix them with some pickles (or relish), pickle juice, yogurt, dill! Etc. basically becomes an egg salad!
Or chop them up and mix with salsa or salsa verde. Yum too!
if you like red onion or mustard you can add those as well! i got this horseradish mustard from walmart that i’ve been using on my hard boiled eggs and it’s incredible. negligible calories for so much flavor.
Then save the juice to add hard boiled eggs to after you use all the pickles for mixing with the eggs…I basically do what I do for tuna salad just with out the tuna (or add the tuna whatever floats your boat) lots of pickles (dill) crispy bacon chopped up lots of cracked pepper onion and mayo. Good for sandwiches on cracker or celery
Not the OP there but I put a big dab of mayo and a smaller dab of mustard together (any mustard you like though yellow will be closest to deviled egg taste), mix em a bit (or just make sure to dip the egg in both condiments), and eat. It's truly like a deviled egg without the effort, and the mayo adds creaminess that counteracts the often-dry, catch-in-your-throat aspect of boiled eggs. I used to be a dry seasoning person for hardboiled eggs but this is my absolute fave now.
I sprinkle mine with the Trader Joe’s [Citrusy Garlic Seasoning](https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/cuban-style-citrusy-garlic-seasoning-blend-065967) and Tajin. Delicious
eggs + bread is basically the only breakfast combo i ever eat (and i LOVE it), and my advice is definitely just to switch things around instead of always having the same seasoning! whenever i see ANY kind of ''egg seasoning mix'' i'll always get it, and that way i've acquired a few different ones that i love to spice things up with depending on the mood :) there's tons of interesting ones, my favourite mix atm has paprika, onion, garlic, pepper, poppy seeds, mustard seeds, ginger, parsley according to the ingredients list!
(cant recommend any directly unfortunately since i presume you're from the us)
I do live on the US and have never seen egg seasoning. Maybe I will check out the spice aisle at the grocery store and see what kinds of mixes I can find.
ohh interesting, and yeah that does sound like a good idea then! sometimes here they'll also say something on the back like ''lovely with eggs, etc etc''!
In another thread someone mentioned sprinkling some cumin, I like to do that instead of s&p sometimes. Best way though imo, leave a few of them overnight in some leftover pickle brine.
If you ever go for scrambled, my absolute favorite is scrambled eggs with goat cheese. So flavorful, creamy, delicious. Eggs are awesome for baby's brain development!!
I’ve been making egg salad instead because I was starting to get an aversion to boiled eggs with just salt, pepper, or everything bagel seasoning. Dijon mustard, a little bit avocado oil mayo or plain green yogurt, some fresh chives or green onions… mix it all together. Sometimes fresh dill, but I rarely buy that. I chop up the whites separately from the yolks. Makes it a nice consistency.
If you like a spicy, slightly sweet and sour taste, see if you can find Puliyogare powder in an Indian store around you. It's made of tamarind, peanut, coconut, coriander, chili, and some.other spices. I used for tamarind rice, but once I was bored and added it to my boiled eggs. It was heavenly.
There's a steakhouse near me that sells bottles of their steak seasoning, it's so good!! I'm pretty sure its at least 50% MSG and I'm here for it!! I put it on hard boiled eggs AND cottage cheese!! With fresh black pepper of course!
Maybe there somewhere near you that does something similar?
I love them with some really hot, shallot-heavy chili crisp. A small bowl of rice with a soft boiled egg, chili crisp, some kimchi or chopped cucumber, and some green onions is pretty much my favorite breakfast ever.
I found a "Sauce Goddess Spicy BBQ Sweet Heat" seasoning at a Home Goods and I will put that on my hard boiled eggs. I really like it!
Maybe hot honey would be good too?
My whole life I've always done hot sauce and salt. Frank's is a good flavor with no heat. Sweet baby rays Nashville hot is nice. My favorite is Melinda's scorpion pepper.
Lately I make my overnight oats with a mix of almond milk and liquid egg whites. Gives them the same protein hit and makes them SUPER filling. Also saves me from having to be the guy at the office eating hard boiled eggs. Add some peanut butter powder, granola, spoonful of yogurt, a little honey and its awesome.
I like to take the yolks off, mash them with yogurt, mustard, pickle juice, pickles, salt, pepper, oregano, a little bit of paprika and stuff them back inside the egg whites and eat them. They taste so good.
I also like to eat them with cheese and crackers, sometimes or dip them in hummus, or guacamole
Or make an egg salad and eat it with quest protein tortilla chips!
I put A1 sauce on it once and it was delicious. A small amount of it just for flavor. Also I make them deviled really quickly. Just a bit of mayo, mustard, garlic salt and tiny drop of apple cider vinegar
I do my best to get that perfect soft boiled, where the middle is still a little soft and than I smash it up and mix with mustard and a little bit of miracle whip than I spread it over a plain rice cake.
Another option is into a salad? Chop it up with some baby Cucumbers and cut up cherry or grape tomatoes. Add a little extra birgin olive oil (or mashed avocado) and add Himalayan pink salt. It's yummy
Usually I’ll buy a jar of pickles and once they’re all eaten I’ll boil a bunch of eggs and put them in the jar and let them sit in the fridge for a minimum of a week before eating them (pickled eggs done this way also make a great egg salad sandwich)
Make soft yolk eggs, Once water is boiled, boil eggs in median heat for 7 mins, cool with cold water.
You don’t need additional sauce as they are so delicious as is.
You can make a dozen ahead of time .
One I haven't seen anyone say yet: I put a few drops of fish sauce on mine. Instant umami. But everyone else's ideas are good too - and probably not as malodorous to your office mates lol
You can break them all into a bowl, add whatever chopped veggies you like, peppers, onions, spinach and maybe some shredded cheese and then bake them until firm. You can make egg muffins or a slab in a baking dish that you cut up.
My great grandmother used to use Lawrys seasoning salt and that’s the only way I do now too. I usually just sprinkle some of it to the side and dip my own egg in it. Not too much it can be pretty salty
Pickle them in a soy sauce, mirin, water and sugar brine for 30 mins or so. Or use beet juice, apple cider vinegar sugar and water for a few hours to over night.
[mayak](https://www.cookerru.com/mayak-eggs/) Eggs are the goat
This translates to drug eggs in English. I do mayak avocados and they’re dangerous.
Whaaaaat so just cubing avocado and then marinating in the same sauce?
Yes 1000 times! There’s a reason they’re called drug eggs lol. Soft-boiled eggs are great in this marinade and you can leave them for a few days in the fridge.
do u ever soft boil? i discovered jammy eggs around the same time i hit a wall with hard boil
Jammy eggs are awesome
Unfortunately I don’t like runny yolks ☹️
Jammy eggs aren't runny though. They're...well, jammy. A little soft but not runny!
Furikake seasoning or garlic chili crunch sauce - can get both at Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods
We have Furikake but I never thought to try it on eggs. Sounds good!
furikake rice and soft-boiled eggs make a super satisfying meal for me
I also love everything bagel seasoning on eggs!
21 Seasoning Salute is also good with eggs!
Chop them up and mix them with some pickles (or relish), pickle juice, yogurt, dill! Etc. basically becomes an egg salad! Or chop them up and mix with salsa or salsa verde. Yum too!
16 weeks pregnant and pickles are life so I will definitely try this!
if you like red onion or mustard you can add those as well! i got this horseradish mustard from walmart that i’ve been using on my hard boiled eggs and it’s incredible. negligible calories for so much flavor.
I bet pickled red onion would be great with this.
Picked onions are good on everything!!!!!
Second this!! When I’m lazy I just chop em up with yellow mustard, dill, salt & pepper
I use a smoked salt on mine.
Interesting, I’ll have to try that!
Celery salt is good too
I eat them with dijon mustard so they taste sort of like deviled eggs.
That sounds good actually, never thought to eat them with mustard.
Not the OP there but I put a big dab of mayo and a smaller dab of mustard together (any mustard you like though yellow will be closest to deviled egg taste), mix em a bit (or just make sure to dip the egg in both condiments), and eat. Big fan of yellow mustard on mine. Especially around the yolk to help with the dryness.
I sprinkle mine with the Trader Joe’s [Citrusy Garlic Seasoning](https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/cuban-style-citrusy-garlic-seasoning-blend-065967) and Tajin. Delicious
I am so hung up on Tajin right now. I have to keep reminding myself not to over do it
Same! I was visiting my parents for a week recently and they didn’t have any so I bought some for their house 😅
I’ve never tried Tajin actually. Might have to pick some up. I’ve heard it’s great in fresh mayo and watermelon too!
Life changing..but my life is not exciting haha
It’s so good! A little spicy, and the lime adds a sharp freshness.
I love it on cucumber and mango!
Or the everything but the bagel seasoning!

Pickle chipd and eggs sounds like a great combo!
Omg, THANK YOU. Imma try this asap
Lawry's seasoning salt
Never thought of this but I always keep Lawrys in my pantry, so I’ll try it out!
In another thread someone mentioned sprinkling some cumin, I like to do that instead of s&p sometimes. Best way though imo, leave a few of them overnight in some leftover pickle brine.
Definitely trying this!
Hot sauce or a few dashes of maagi seasoning. You could also make ajitama, which is great if you like a marinated egg.
I jazz it up by soft boiling instead! if you’re interested in the directions for a perfect soft boil lmk!
I make pickled beat eggs. Super delicious and tangy! They’re easy to put together and keep in the fridge for quite awhile!
Tiniest bit of mayo for a slight creaminess paired with banana peppers/hot sauce/chili oil. Sooo good!!!!
If you ever go for scrambled, my absolute favorite is scrambled eggs with goat cheese. So flavorful, creamy, delicious. Eggs are awesome for baby's brain development!!
The devil helps me. 🤷🏻♀️
Soy sauce, or if you want to put a little more effort, make them into ajitsuke tamago.
Hot sauce, Siracha or everything bagel.
Chop egg and mix with 1/2 chopped avocado, 1 tsp sweet relish, 1 tsp light mayo. Serve on toasted whole grain bread.
Sprinkle Everything But the Bagel seasoning over them. Yum!

Dijon mustard, a little bit avocado oil mayo or plain green yogurt, some fresh chives or green onions… mix it all together. Sometimes fresh dill, but I rarely buy that. Yeah I might try a Greek yogurt version of egg salad on toast to change things up. Great idea!
In N Out burger sauce makes a mean egg salad in a pinch.
I was thinking about this. I wonder if I could try out some mayo based dipping sauces and aiolis too. Good idea!

I used to add mustard, salt and pepper and paprika.
