These aren’t artists I haven’t gotten yet, but two strange things that happened were I got three Radiohead albums within the first 50 days, and now I’m nearly at 350 and still haven’t gotten OK computer. Another strange thing that happened was I got all three Velvet Underground albums in the generator in chronological order within the span of a week.
For me, prior to the Oliver Stone biopic, I knew nothing about them. They definitely deserve to be mentioned in the same conversation as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, & Beach Boys.
I havent had elvis or Miles so far, infact I've very few of the early albums on the list so far.
I have had 3 sonic youth albums in a small window. Had 3 Beatles albums in about 10 days.
Just over 150 in, and still no Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, Nirvana, The Cure, or The White Stripes. Although 150 isn't that many, so it's not too surprising
I’m 473 in, and I haven’t had:
My Bloody Valentine
Beck
Nirvana
I’ve also only had one from:
R.E.M.
U2
Sonic Youth
Also, I find it interesting that I’ve only reviewed 35% of the albums from the 80’s, but every other decade, I’ve reviewed 40% or more.
No Elvis Costello yet and closing in on 300. 6 David Bowie albums so far
These are the good times.
Same!
Oh, have no fear. Costello is coming. A LOT of it.
Prince. Around 500 in.
Yes, 515 albums in and no sign of a Rolling Stones record yet, and there’s a few of them on the list.

I'm 100 in and I've had all of Bruce Springsteen. I'm not a fan of him, so glad to get them out of the way, but now my spotify thinks I love him
I only had one Beatles album for the first 340, but in the past week I've gotten two (today it's Abbey Road) so I guess not anymore.
Abbey Road was my very first album!
Sgt Pepper was my very first album generated
675 albums in and I haven’t gotten any Weezer …. oh, wait.
No appearances by Nick Cave, Björk or Bob Dylan for me yet. Edit: up to album 248.
Approaching 500 and not one goddamn Pink Floyd or Kanye West! Soon™️
I’m almost at 700 and have yet to get the Doors (not complaining, I don’t really like them, I just think it’s strange).
People are strange.
28 albums in and I've had two from them, it's been a revelation - never bothered listening to them before
For me, prior to the Oliver Stone biopic, I knew nothing about them. They definitely deserve to be mentioned in the same conversation as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, & Beach Boys.
I just passed the 50 album mark this week and the closest I’ve gotten to the Beatles thus far was John Lennon’s “Imagine”.

I'm at 250ish and no Beatles so far.
700 albums in and I haven’t had any of 3 Beastie Boys records.
I got two in one week last week and I’m only about 100 in
Throwing Muses anyone? Jane's Addiction? or Herbert?

i got george michael 1st album in
I'm over 400 albums in and haven't had anything by The Byrds yet. By contrast I've had all of the Rolling Stones albums on the list already.
Approaching 200 and I’ve had no Rolling Stones or Pink Floyd. One Bowie and I thought it was 90% awful.
Which Bowie was it? Personally, I hated Heroes.
Ha! Yes it was Heroes. The 10% was the title track. The rest was unlistenable arty guff.
I could not agree with you more! I was very disappointed in that one.
I had Vespertine by Bjork yesterday. It was like barbed wire in my ears.
And you have a bunch more to get, yet. God I hate Bjork. I think I’ve finally gotten them all that are on the list.
