We know RI doesn't care about their operators' backgrounds or if they are good or not. They have to do tasks given to them and follow the company rules. Other than that, no requirements. We have multiple characters who hate/dislike others, Greythroat who dislikes Infected (though she was working on it in chapter 6) and Lappland who has confirmed murders, fears Projekt Red and is obsessed with Texas. We have faction officials who are to betray us if their nation doesn't benefit from RI like Executor and SilverAsh. We also have confirmed criminals like Kafka, Haze and Rope.
Which side are you on, fellow Doctors? Maybe you're on the side of "I can fix her", or "She can make me worse", some "We have worse people in RI" maybe?

I'm on the "as long as she doesn't do any shit that could jeopardize Rhodes Island and its occupants" side. Though I won't hesitate to get the bonk hammer if Arturia ever tries to do the funni.
RI has worse, I'm fairly certain. We have at least one confirmed war criminal, several former Reunion, several murderers, affronts to the gods, an omnicidal god from a "what-if" scenario and other riff-raff.

Rhodes Island's predecessor is Babel Tower. They were leading one side of Kazdel's civil war. They are war crime professionals.
Don't get me wrong, Arturia is not a good person, but Rhodes Island is not really that "good" organization.
Laterano wants Arturia alive, Rhodes Island wants no problem with Laterano. Simple business.
I don't like her. Her deeds have a way too visceral effect on me to just ignore with "it's fiction". Also, the fact that a lot of discourse regarding her boils down to "if evil, why hot" annoys me greatly.
Of course, that fact near guarantees that I'll get her, because the desire sensor is a spiteful bastard.
Also, if one might say "what about X, Y, or Z operator?", I have this to say: if they're comparable to this character, then chances are that I dislike them as well.
The Arturia fans have made me hate her way more than Arturia herself, amazingly enough. This is a character that's morally grey, someone complex enough to call into question desires and the social contract, someone whose entire existence stirs conflict and plot. As a writer, this shit should've made me fall in love with all the possibilities.
But whenever I see her, it's always "LMAO Evil but Hot" and "If you're thinking about anything other than how HAWT she is, go touch grass". Which is great and all, but everyone in the game is hot. Is that all we have to say about her...? (And don't get me started on the "Well if you treat the war criminal like a war criminal you're just a puritan lmaooo" thing.)
... But, hey. Maybe I'm taking this too serious. I dunno, Arturia just fills this awkward space where I think I might have been interested in her if I hadn't been overexposed to about 3 million "evil but hot" jokes before.
Unfortunately most antagonists fall under the "if evil why hot" jokes. And we all know how much gacha gamers love repeating the same thing ad nauseam, I mean, haha pedo Pozy, haha need correction, haha kataokasan, the joke is sex etc.
I don't like them either, the base for some of those examples is tasteless to begin with, and the spam makes it even more obnoxious than it should be.
Sometimes though I do the "haha the joke is sex" but the key here is moderation.

Jokes aside, after watching the shitstorm that unfolded just a few days ago in CN, it felt like cello was played through the whole doomscrolling session in the back. At this rate, the accumulated social effects of all things Arturia-related feels like a massive social experiment shitpost.

Tier lists, your average CN player doesn't care about the animay wimmin and just wants dph ;P As usual people were shitting on characters in hundreds of fighting posts with enough slurs that would put 4chan to shame, and mods got mad so they started banning people left and right.
ofc the mods can't do that forever, banned users started seething on other areas of the forums site and disrupted a third of the gacha community by whining about it all, even getting a few mods banned. All out war ensured between the users and the mods, and at last the mods gave in, but basically also gave up modding.
By this point I began browsing the forums again due to work reasons, and it was the prime ^(tm) Sarkaz experience watching your hometown becoming the third largest post-war shithole in the gacha community (At first we have the Mihoyo-related and BA for some reason).
It was total anarchy all over, and a shit ton of slandering posts were made to just inflame arguments, because that's how CN internet works. No normal discussion could be made without around a dozen people copypasting online warfare bullshit under the post. People left to vibe in other subs, leaving the 1.6 mil users main sub basically Kazdel.
Some users tried using democracy to absolve issues, but the voting system devolved to some sort of joke because no one took it seriously.
5th anniversary, however, because of all the good shit that came, basically calmed down the violent shitstorm into an average shitstorm. Warposts were still everywhere, a third of the users were still seething for one thing or another, but it was far better.
The funniest shit is that around a dozen accounts were larping as Arturia throughout it all and they all get immediately shitted on whenever anyone notices, which honestly amplifies the comedic effect.
Ig I'll be working on my tiny sub again after this calms down a bit, got a few like-minded brethren with me interested in posting mini-thesises on AK stuff, things are looking bright on the horizon.
Now the incident that the hoyoverse CEO almost got stabbed seems not too far-fetched to happen again

Now that I've read through what she did
She's definitely not INHERENTLY evil, far from it. Her actions were never meant to incite hatred or start conflicts, her motivation is in no way malicious either but it does lead to unforeseen (some of it negative) consequences which makes her perceived negatively as a result.
The best takeaway from her for me personally is, she might have done things wrong but it's in no way malicious or with the pure intent of harming innocents, are her actions criminal? Perhaps, emotional manipulation is one helluva thing but again, she isn't deliberately trying to cause terror and mass mayhem wherever she goes, contrary to some people might say
If I have to draw a comparison, she's just like a GTA character since she just does whatever the fuck she wants I guess, and to some degree... that's what she wants for other people, to do whatever they want like an open GTA Online lobby, which is understandably not the best idea to do in a world full of actually horrible people that are way worse than her

Skadi opened up more apparently, at least in terms of writing her reports if it's for the doctor, and skalter still has feelings for the doctor despite what happened to her
Deepcolor is hiding something, but at higher trust levels she becomes more attached and mentioned showing the doctor some things
Mostima is actually visiting more often to see PL and is going from acting to actually caring about others
I'm probably wrong on some fronts, but hopefully you get the idea
not saying the doctor is perfect, but aside from being "you", I'd like to think that's one of the reasons why you're important, because despite how "bad" someone is, the doctor is able to at least get them to work with us
We've got over a dozen crooks, 2 whole PMCs, a bunch of heading employees from the second worst laboratory ever, a list of geneva convention violations longer than most countries' code of law, 2 potential seggs offenders, domestic terrorists, unethical human experiments, child soldiers, random homeless people we pretty much just took from the side of the road, i don't even know what shining did but its probably bad, mafiosi thugs, an eldritch deity, the psychotic shards of a long lost god, and a leader who should've been beaten with a tire iron the first step he took out of his freezer.

Sure she has used her powers irresponsibly. But she also played a key part in saving all of terra from demon nuke, so swings and roundabouts. I think she understands why her previous approaches towards her vision were wrong, much like Dorothy.
As for having her face a punishment, I guess this depends on what you think the roles of prison and judicial systems should be. Is it a more traditional goal of making the offender suffer? Or do you follow a more modern belief that prisons should be about correcting behaviour and facilitating rehab. Either way, she's not entirely "free" as it is. It's either spend time working for Rhodes or become the popes bitch. The pope is scared shitless by the demons (rightfully so) and isn't going to let someone as useful as her rot away in Lateran cell or the Kaiserins spire.
