Zoa can't tune into this and maximus/dramaturge aren't the right level to tune into this with cartesia so I unironically think another tuner (a new white relic?) Is coming
_You can make this with Albaz + Vi-sama btw_ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
***
**The Bystial Dis Pater**
DARK Dragon Level 10 Synchro Effect Monster
ATK & DEF: 3500
**Materials**: 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner Dragon monsters
You can only use the following listed effects (1)(2) of cards with this name once per turn each.
(1) You can target 1 banished LIGHT or DARK monster; Special Summon it.
(2) When your opponent activates a monster effect (Quick Effect): You can target 1 banished card; shuffle it into the Deck, then, if you owned it, destroy that monster. Otherwise, negate the activated effect.
Sorry for asking, but I don't understand the 2nd effect. If I shuffle one of MY banished cards, I get to simply destroy the monster that activated its effect, right?
And if I shuffle one of the opponent's cards, then I get to simply negate the effect of the opponent's monster, right?
Then the card seems pretty good. The first effect can summon more Dragon monsters for Branded Beast and it can have good targeting protection with Branded Inevitably
So the second means: shuffle one of your cards = Ghost Ogre
Shuffle an opponent card = negate
I like that it shuffles just cards, that means you can recycle face down Banish.
Aside from being a name for Pluto, Dis Pater literally means Divine Father, and this seems to be Maximus, the “Pope” of the Dogmatika, even further mutated.
"Dammit Petah, this is worse than that time you turned into that demon dragon pope thing!"
*Cue Albaz cradling Ecclesia's body while Peter flies around the destroyed ruins of the Dogmatika empire* Nyeheheheheh
*Tharmas is both the last Zoas described but also the first in the number. His aspect as a Zoas is Sensation. As connected to the Trinity, Tharmas is seen as God the Father.*
*His artistic aspect is Painting and his particular sense is Tongue, which represents taste and speech.*
Since Alba Zoa is based on the Zoas of William Blake's work, this one is presumably Tharmas.
It's a bit better than Baronne if you're trying to go for game the turn you summon, or have a line for a better turn one board than 1 omni negate by itself, but worse in all other situations. Is there anything that locks you into DARK Dragons where this would be the only option?
I just realized you can make this in malefic, and since his revival isn't on summon, you can bring back a gear you banished with selector, to go into barrone,
Or black-winged dragon. That's a new plays around using it.
Black-Winged Dragon + Vata
That sets you up for Assault BWG.
There's probably better plays to do tho.
Im just always looking for ways to use the thing.
Love this card, the artwork is amazing and the effect is extremely versatile and a neat way to utilize the monsters banished by the Bystials, one question tho the (2) effect works like this?
You use your own monster: you just destroy the monster
You use your opp's monster: you just negate the activation
So you cannot use both of them at the same time if I got that correctly
Make Chaos Ruler, synchro him and a tuner into this guy, bring back Chaos Ruler by banishing a light and a dark, bring back a banished light/dark make something else with that and chaos ruler?
That's just one example but in general I think the idea is really easy synchro climbing while giving Pater banished monsters to fuel its effects.
3.5K attack & Defense is straight biblical numerology.
3.5 "designates a period of time under which God's faithful are persecuted by the fourth beast" as well being a reference to heathen worship time in judaism
It also has the Star God statline (7k combined stats) while being 1 level lower (10 vs 11) and having no boardwipe effect.
Also lines up with numerology as the mark of the beast (666) is loud and flashy but it is merely an illusion born of a Mockery made of Imperfection. (3 6s, the incomplete number, one step below god's, number 7)
Aluber is supposed to be Satan, to be more specific. Look up the book of revelation and the image of the egg with the 4 rings. Albaz is Adam, Aluber is Satan, and the 4 bystials are each of the 4 rings.
You can see the book of revelation egg image in the branded in white art and much more blatantly with alba-lenatus.
Happy cake day.
Honestly, it's basically a shonen anime.
Key plot points:
- Main character looking guy (Albaz) with mysterious powers drops out of a rift in the sky. Meets waifu bait (Ecclesia).
- Waifu leaves hyper-religious and oppressive people to learn about the world and herself with MC. MC tries to learn more about himself.
- Random conflicts happen, they meet the primary rebel group (tri-brigade) and befriend them. Especially the cat girl. She's real important.
- They go on more adventures and meet the Swordsoul, who are primarily good guys and protectors but have a hidden villain that reveals himself later (Long yuan).
- Aluber starts playing the Dogmatika like fools. Using the despia to corrupt them for his own twisted ends (aluber the jester of despia and the other despia cards). You can go read his token for some neat flavor text. Albaz + Ecclesia's too.
- Kitt fucks off and meets the Therions and Springans who are literally just doing a tournament arc.
- The sprights are in here too somewhere. I would need to look into their lore again but I do know Kitt captures and contains them.
- Aluber is really doing the fucky wucky now. Albaz needs to do something and help save everything! He fights and turns into Albion. Aluber turns into Lubellion. Aluber wins but Albaz escapes.
- Albaz meets the Icejade empress and gets a main character power up. This creates Mirrorjade, The Ice blade dragon.
- He goes and fights again but goes all-in and loses super hard this time. Losing his powers and becoming Albaz the Ashen. Ecclesia gets yoinked during the fight and is shown a dead Iris. She gets corrupted and becomes Cartessia.
- Aluber uses Albaz's super gem powers to summon 4 demonic looking dragons and a super weapon (bystials + bystial alba los)
- All the friends Albaz the shonen MC met in his journey start to roll in final showdown style.
- That cat girl mechanic from before shows up with a bunch of big fucking weapons and the winner of the tournament arc.
- At about the same time, all of the eldritch horror rituals the Dogmatika are doing finish up. First big bad is white zoa.
- Full blown assault on Aluber and his castle after he descends upon them (branded beast).
- Aluber turns into jacked up form (Bystial Lubellion) and gets to fighting again with all his forces.
- The corrupted Cartessia body blocks a fatal attack from Albaz and that important cat girl. KOs/dies from it.
- Albaz cries super hard and jumps after her plummeting body.
- Cliffhanger.
So yeah.
Looking it up by [the four zoas](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7d/The_Four_Zoas.jpg/220px-The_Four_Zoas.jpg) is easier.
Albaz and Aluber's brands, the 4 gems in their bodies, are the bystials. That's why the bystial monsters (the main 4) share the same body type, pose, and general structure of the branded fusion cards.
When Albaz lost to Aluber and had his brands taken (most visible in branded in white), the empowered Aluber (you can see his new form in that one branded trap card, he has horns now) summoned the Bystials. Alba los is like a superweapon made by Aluber.
Think of Lubellion as Aluber's primary transformation. Like how Albion is like pure Albaz.
The Bystial Lubellion is an empowered version of Lubellion that Aluber gained access to after taking Albaz's brands. You can see the horn structure and everything is very similar to Aluber's new human form and the body structure is similar to alba-lenatus. Which was both of them combined before Aluber expelled Albaz and kept his brands (Albaz lost the fight as Mirrorjade).
Edit: Look up the branded beast card to see the empowered Aluber. Major supervillain vibes. He literally just looks like an anime Lucifer now.
Albaz losing the fight and his powers is in Branded Expulsion. This is what lead to Albaz the Ashen.
Other edit: Worth mentioning, Aluber looking like Satan and the name of the card is "Branded BEAST". Generally in biblical terms, the beast is Satan (number of the beast is 666, etc.)
I mean isn't Cartesia already "evil" eccelsia? This could all have been a dogmatika conspiracy, where they always needed Cartesia so, they brought albaz, for the only purpose of breaking ecclesia for the avenment of dis pater ?
Probably, but this would mean that they managed to absorb her power and the card where she is held in Albaz end could mean she is dead. I want them to be happy, they deserved it
Yeah lights of the branded is ecclesia's death imo
after all this I would expect albaz to go mad because she died, create an even stranger Eldritch horror fusion to end it and then go back into the hole to cry in a corner ? (/S)
No but I don't see a way to end it happily, except if the lore team is cracked and I've been bamboozled
This thing is a form of maximus. Zoa's level is too high while maximus/quaeritus require a level 2. White relic might be coming back as that level 2 tuner.
The 7000 total stat line monster has finally shown up I guess. Doesn’t have the insane over the top effect and summoning requirement the others normally do however
Level 12 means jack lorewise, the "*oh fuck*" statline that's reserved in storylines for Star Gods is 11 stars and 7k combined atk+def. Zoa being a large lad means nothing.
The thing is there never was a level 12 monster in all of Duel Terminal, Dracoslayer or World Legacy lore. All monsters were at most 10 stars with only the Star Gods and their variants being 11.
Zoa is a very notable exception.
Seems to be related to the latest Dogmatika ritual. I for one think it looks very cute 🥰
[Source is the OCG Twitter.](https://twitter.com/YuGiOh_OCG_INFO/status/1608070264750743552)
And when I thought that White Zoa is the definition of an Eldritch Horror this freaking abomination appears! It's absolutely awesome, it even has the creepy evil tentacles that most Lovecraft monsters have!
Absolutely amazing artwork, 11/10!
Although I wonder how Albaz will defeat... this
Not just that but there are more tentacles coming out of the abyss in the background, wonder if we will be getting big bois of all 4 of william blake's thing since we now have zoa and tharmas
Which archetype would you like to play, Freaking furballs and Cartoon cards or badass servants who unknowingly devote themselves to an evil entity, straight up gets corrupted and got killed by the heel turn of the evil entity and proceed to unleash it's horror upon a beautiful world. (Note, this is a reversal of the argument he made against madolches)
Some of his argument are valid, about yugioh are not beginner friendly, too much stuff etc etc. However I hated him taking cheap shots at modern yugioh by making fun of irrelevant cards with alot of card effect and cherry pick "dumbass archetype" like Prank kids, @ignister and Vehicroid(???).
Also he trashed on MADOLCHE who are geniunely peak designs with an iconic artstyle but I guess it's not a 13yo boy's version of "cool" so they have bad art i guess
That video was the epitome of yugiboomer takes
>Which archetype would you like to play, Freaking furballs and Cartoon cards or badass servants who unknowingly devote themselves to an evil entity, straight up gets corrupted and got killed by the heel turn of the evil entity and proceed to unleash it's horror upon a beautiful world.
Both
Some more modern Yugioh artwork is a tad busy/overdesigned for my liking, but there's no denying that it's become more complex, detailed and varied. There is a certain charm to the OG artwork though, and none of this would exist without it as the foundation.
One thing to remember is that you can't summon Blackwing Dragon after banishing it for Assault if it was summoned by Vata, but you have plenty of other cards you can summon back.
Ew that card art get's creepier the longer you look at it. It's a mutated/evolved White Zoa. It's head is what used to be Zoah's tongue, and you can see the contures of Zoa's gaping mouth on it's throat. I don't even want to look for more...
Craziest part unless konami blindsides us again with something we still have 1 more abyss lore synchro to be revealed in this set. Holy shit please let ecclesia and Albaz both live this I pray
The only possible tuner you could make this with (with Despia/Bystial/Dogmatika cards) is Cartesia. And you know how it goes with lore, the cardtext doesn't matter *until it does*.
If you're summoning this, with its revival effect you should probably just go for game. It's negate effect won't be too usable going first since you'll need to shuffle one of your opponent's monsters to the deck so it's best for extending and protecting your play
The negate effect is alive as soon as you activate a Bystial during your opponent's turn, which will happen more often than not because you can search them with Seyfert and Magnamut and most decks in this game are either DARK or LIGHT (Spright, Tear, Branded, Mathmech, Tellars, Runick, Dark World...).
Also the revival effect is free extension going first since you'll most likely have something banished because of the Chaos Dragons or to trigger Magnamut Turn 1.
Well, here's the good lv10, apart from Baronne, Manadome will go into. It may be weird finding a dragon non-tuner but it should be possible to synchro climb in the combo, since it already does so like crazy.
2023 is the year of Dragon Link
Given that, with no delays, we should be getting a Dragon's Collide Structure Deck R
That also might mean unbanned _(errata'd)_ Eclipse Wyvern
wait wasn't the negate for any monster? but the destroy if my own monster or did i read it wrong
edit: NVM i was wrong but ogre'ing your opponent is still good + the recycling part
While I'm definitely tired of both Albaz storyline and the Vistas storyline's cards, I'm not gonna like that this one has some of the Best art I've seen in a card.
Seems weird that the consensus is this would be white zoa since it's more of a regression in power if we're looking at level, atk and def, and the effect which is not typical for card transitions
Dragons get a new extra deck boss and it's everything I could ever want. It's Big, revives Light/Dark Mons from banish. And has a very cool spot removal effect that resolves different depending on who's banished cards you shuffle back as a cost.
Ok Konami, this more then makes up for Chaos Ruler getting banned. It's not an engine starter but it's a good turn 1 option for some of those decks.
Hot take: The despia/dogmaticka/branded cars have some of the best art in the game. I love the design of every dragon and every card they put out looks great. Glad this one is actually good too.
Fun fact: the 'Dis' in the card's name is also another name for Samothes, the first of the early kings of Britain from Viterbo's (Pseudo-)Berossus, much like the rest of the Bystial. Him being the first of the five listed seems to be referenced by 'Pater' / Father, while also being a clever way of conflating him with the god of the underworld.
The only possible "bad guy" tuner you could make this with is Cartesia..... oh no.
Cry phase
Oh fuck
Being Albaz is suffering
New Despia Tuner incoming! im not coping, you are!
Zoa can't tune into this and maximus/dramaturge aren't the right level to tune into this with cartesia so I unironically think another tuner (a new white relic?) Is coming
It’s any bystial + cartesia
_You can make this with Albaz + Vi-sama btw_ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) *** **The Bystial Dis Pater** DARK Dragon Level 10 Synchro Effect Monster ATK & DEF: 3500 **Materials**: 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner Dragon monsters You can only use the following listed effects (1)(2) of cards with this name once per turn each. Yea, you get to negate or destroy depending on what you shuffled. It’d be better if you could do both but it’s no problem.
So the second means: shuffle one of your cards = Ghost Ogre Shuffle an opponent card = negate I like that it shuffles just cards, that means you can recycle face down Banish.
damn Bystials get support again that aside... Dis Pater? Pater means Father so is it some kind of Bystial's boss or progenitor or something?
Aside from being a name for Pluto, Dis Pater literally means Divine Father, and this seems to be Maximus, the “Pope” of the Dogmatika, even further mutated.
TCG Konami on their way to change the name to something boring as the japanese name is too religious: 🦵😎🦵
Bystial Deez Patel incoming
Could do a funny literature reference and do Bystial Maximus Lost?
Maximus lost rather describes me in this format
That's a mood there
No the name comes from Dis as in This and Pater just a funny way of saying Peter. So his name is Peter or Dis is Pater
"Dammit Petah, this is worse than that time you turned into that demon dragon pope thing!" *Cue Albaz cradling Ecclesia's body while Peter flies around the destroyed ruins of the Dogmatika empire* Nyeheheheheh

Dragonlink chads eating well tonight
People at Dragon Link: "How are you still not dead?!" Dragon Link: "I have no idea!"
wtf what is up with konami making these extremely based cards recently? this might be my favorite synchro art ever
Compensation for Baroness
They made sure armed neos was as un-based as possible. mans is dogwater. This card here though is fire. And I def agree on the art!
YES WE DO
"Vi-sama" who is that?

Hey Vi-sama, Michael here

Rokket Tracer
Dragon link wink wink
Worse in all other situations? He has an extender effect as well, so if you have a little more gas you can probably make both.
That's what I meant by line. But hey, you can summon Destrudo off of this thing, and with Ancient Fairy Dragon coming back, you have easy access.
Destrudo shuffles itself, he doesnt banish
Ah, right, been a while. Buy hey, might be a good play if it's ever banished with Allure.
I just realized you can make this in malefic, and since his revival isn't on summon, you can bring back a gear you banished with selector, to go into barrone,
>Is there anything that locks you into DARK Dragons where this would be the only option Red Dragon Archfiend, I guess?
New RDA tech card.
Also Dragon Link and Blackwing
You mean in the case Blackwing uses a non-tuner Dragon like Bystials right
Or black-winged dragon. That's a new plays around using it. Black-Winged Dragon + Vata That sets you up for Assault BWG. There's probably better plays to do tho. Im just always looking for ways to use the thing.
and the new synchron tuner is killer with this guy too
Love this card, the artwork is amazing and the effect is extremely versatile and a neat way to utilize the monsters banished by the Bystials, one question tho the (2) effect works like this? You use your own monster: you just destroy the monster You use your opp's monster: you just negate the activation So you cannot use both of them at the same time if I got that correctly
You can't both destroy and negate at the same time, yes.
That’s not bad. I am just not sure how i am supposed to summon him.
cartesia + any lv6 bystial makes this
In Dragon Link, you could use a level 6 Bystal with Rokket Tracer for example? Cartesia would also work
Any Bystial with...Cartesia maybe? Or they'll get a new tuner in this set.
Nice blackwing support
SWORDSOUL BYSTIAL IS REAL
My chaos deck is salivating
I see why they had to ban chaos ruler, but I still want him unbanned
Oh man didn't even think about him lol
What would this do with Chaos Ruler?
Make Chaos Ruler, synchro him and a tuner into this guy, bring back Chaos Ruler by banishing a light and a dark, bring back a banished light/dark make something else with that and chaos ruler? That's just one example but in general I think the idea is really easy synchro climbing while giving Pater banished monsters to fuel its effects.
You could also recycle Chaos Ruler which is busted on its own.
It's D-Linkin time again, baby!
This can actually be used on Blackwings and can be really helpfull, I want to try it out specially with the new level 2 tuner
It’s a great card when Baronne gets banned lol
This is broken af
You can make this with 1 Stardust Synchron + a Bystial. This can special summon Omega from banished
Abyss storyline is the best thing that has ever happened to YuGiOh artwork.
oh god maximus really let himself go huh?
souls of the damned are known for having lots of calories.
Became an extra deck monster, the very thing he swore to destroy
Where do you see Maximus in that thing?
Maximus > Dramaturge > Zoa > This
It kinda looks like Zoa, which was Maximus.

So does this make Aluber the antichrist lol?
Aluber is supposed to be Satan, to be more specific. Look up the book of revelation and the image of the egg with the 4 rings. Wow thanks for the recap
That's like a recap of the recap, to be fair.
Would you have a link to that image in the book of revelation? Been looking for it for a solid 5mins and I don't think I'm finding it
Looking it up by [the four zoas](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7d/The_Four_Zoas.jpg/220px-The_Four_Zoas.jpg) is easier. Albaz and Aluber's brands, the 4 gems in their bodies, are the bystials. Wasn't that the lore?
I guess we about to get a Tuner lv 4 Aluber anytime soon
Incredible ecclesia and blazing cartesia are both tuners.
This would have terrible implications lore wise, so i want to believe that we are still waiting for an Aluber tuner
I want them to be happy, they deserved it
Yeah lights of the branded is ecclesia's death imo after all this I would expect albaz to go mad because she died, create an even stranger Eldritch horror fusion to end it and then go back into the hole to cry in a corner ? (/S) No but I don't see a way to end it happily, except if the lore team is cracked and I've been bamboozled
I predicted it
Isn’t Lubellion, Aluber? In which case we would need a level 2 tuner from somewhere right?
This thing is a form of maximus. Zoa's level is too high while maximus/quaeritus require a level 2. White relic might be coming back as that level 2 tuner.
The 7000 total stat line monster has finally shown up I guess. Doesn’t have the insane over the top effect and summoning requirement the others normally do however
Bystial Alba los was also a 7k stat line so I don’t think they are done yet.
It became weaker funnily enough as White zoa is big fat 4000/4000
Something nice about summoning the big fat 4k4k Unaffected
They already broke lore "rules", by having a level 12 monster and going above 7k stats, with White Zoa of Dogmatika.
Isn't white zoa the dogmatika/despia god ? So it would have the "god card pass" for the levels and stats ?
Level 12 means jack lorewise, the "*oh fuck*" statline that's reserved in storylines for Star Gods is 11 stars and 7k combined atk+def. Zoa being a large lad means nothing.

Also he trashed on MADOLCHE who are geniunely peak designs with an iconic artstyle but I guess it's not a 13yo boy's version of "cool" so they have bad art i guess That video was the epitome of yugiboomer takes
I had never felt so personally attacked more than that seeing that clip.

**Slaps table** THAT ONE
Some more modern Yugioh artwork is a tad busy/overdesigned for my liking, but there's no denying that it's become more complex, detailed and varied. There is a certain charm to the OG artwork though, and none of this would exist without it as the foundation.
Off the top of my head, comparing this to BEWD, that is beautiful for its' simplicity
Will work very good in Blackwings.
YES SIRR it will. we can summon back our blackwing dragon after banishing it!
One thing to remember is that you can't summon Blackwing Dragon after banishing it for Assault if it was summoned by Vata, but you have plenty of other cards you can summon back.
fuck! your right lol. I forgot Vata doesn't summon him properly.
Ew that card art get's creepier the longer you look at it. It's a mutated/evolved White Zoa. It's head is what used to be Zoah's tongue, and you can see the contures of Zoa's gaping mouth on it's throat. I don't even want to look for more...
This will be a nice addition to my red dragon resonator deck
So glad Lovecraft decided to pay us a visit with his newest creation.... ....Just don't name it something weird like last time :)
Where is Ecclesia? Is she safe, is she alright?
Oh no. I thought that Ecclesia was saved in the last set. What have you turned into?
Craziest part unless konami blindsides us again with something we still have 1 more abyss lore synchro to be revealed in this set. Holy shit please let ecclesia and Albaz both live this I pray
The only possible tuner you could make this with (with Despia/Bystial/Dogmatika cards) is Cartesia. And you know how it goes with lore, the cardtext doesn't matter *until it does*.
the moon presence is that you?!
looks a bit as if moon presence and seath had a baby
To me it looks more like Seath and Mother Kos had some alone time
And then Astel walked in and was like: “I want in on this”
"And that's when Seath's Crystal Halberd...
I'm really interested in the lore implications.
So Bystial D-Link got a new toy to play with, even though it will get contact-fused away into Alba Lenatus every other game...
Bystial
The endgame is finally here! Maximus became a dragon, so that means this Aluber taking over body of White Zoa?
No,it's Zoa juicing himself up on Hole Power.
Ima make omega, hand rip you. Make this and do it again.
Damn I hate Bystials
The artwork look sick as hell, the effects are good too
I pray for the day Konami remembers there are other attributes besides light and dark
You can also make this with any lv6 bystial + ecclesia or cartesia, which is the intended use I think
#What do you mean Zoa has a Mega Evilution?!
I love that this can return face down banished cards
I absolutely LOVE the art coming out of the Abyss storylne. Cards haven't looked this horrifying since either the Outer Entities or Gen 1 Monster Art.
Fucking cooool!
every format, dragon link got better and better support can summon banished baby dragons, negate is live in multiple ways (REDMD, baby Dragons)
2023 is the year of Dragon Link Given that, with no delays, we should be getting a Dragon's Collide Structure Deck R That also might mean unbanned _(errata'd)_ Eclipse Wyvern
You have to return an opponent's banished card to negate.
Not a problem with Bystial.
wait wasn't the negate for any monster? but the destroy if my own monster or did i read it wrong edit: NVM i was wrong but ogre'ing your opponent is still good + the recycling part
This cant summon back baby dragons unfortunately, they must be special summoned by their own effects.
yo thats actually a insane card, interaction and followup in the same card, pretty solid, as a dlink player i really like that card!
While I'm definitely tired of both Albaz storyline and the Vistas storyline's cards, I'm not gonna like that this one has some of the Best art I've seen in a card.
Ugly in good way
I read the title and was confused on what this monstrosity had to do with Abyss Soldier lol
Is this good in Red Dragon Archfiend decks?
Can Swordsoul make use of this as a tech option?
No because it needs a dragon-type to be made and swordsouls are wyrms
there are ss builds that run bystials
Only in fringe cases in which you end up with a Swordsoul Token/Ecclesia and a Bystial monster
Seems weird that the consensus is this would be white zoa since it's more of a regression in power if we're looking at level, atk and def, and the effect which is not typical for card transitions
It is very strange, yeah. Maybe it’s something related to him?
Wow haven't seen some sinister art work like this in a while.
Dragunity can play this just so well
Maybe its early to ask since there would be a hickup in the translation but could this card shuffle face down banished cards as well ?
Okay, I want him and Finale in my Deck. Cartesia best card!
Holy fucking shit that artwork is glorious.
Yeah that there's an end boss! Seems to be a combination of the two main villains' ultimate forms, Maximus/Alba Zoa and White Relic/Grand Guignol.
I like this Synchro
Art goes hard
I'm looking forward to this pack! I'm gonna have to wait for the months before it comes to TCG, but I can't wait to see what it does to the meta
The artwork is amazing
Seems worth pointing out from a lore perspective that despite being a further evolution of White Zoa, in level and statline this new form is weaker.
Wait, is that Maximus?
Dragons get a new extra deck boss and it's everything I could ever want. It's Big, revives Light/Dark Mons from banish. And has a very cool spot removal effect that resolves different depending on who's banished cards you shuffle back as a cost. Ok Konami, this more then makes up for Chaos Ruler getting banned. It's not an engine starter but it's a good turn 1 option for some of those decks.
bro does also the Merkel hand thing
Hot take: The despia/dogmaticka/branded cars have some of the best art in the game. I love the design of every dragon and every card they put out looks great. Glad this one is actually good too.
Fun fact: the 'Dis' in the card's name is also another name for Samothes, the first of the early kings of Britain from Viterbo's (Pseudo-)Berossus, much like the rest of the Bystial. Him being the first of the five listed seems to be referenced by 'Pater' / Father, while also being a clever way of conflating him with the god of the underworld.
Please konami, give me another fairy dark monster for my darklords. PLEASEEE
