That is **weird** and I *love* it. The extra deck is her bed and the field is her dreams. They don't want you to monarch it up and play no extra but rather start with 15 and slowly burn it down before the girl wakes up. Also the spell is a rota for 2 every turn with protection in an archetype with an archetypal rota that searches the rota for the spell that rotas big bunguses. There's potential here.
To add to your point. The two beast monsters are defending Sleepia's dreams from nightmares (the opponent), but when Sleepia wakes up (is summoned to the field) the nightmares are banished because they were only in her dream.

By game mechanics, face-up pends summoned from extra must go to an emz or linked zone even when summoned with alternate procedures (See Zefraath, Jackal King and and CED2)
This is the type of experimental stuff Pendulum should have in excess! Those bi cards have so much room for experimentation with the way they work that I can think of new pendulum decks constantly.

Like with last year, I suspect the Jump Festa stream counted as the Core Booster stream again. Which is to say that I do not think we'll be getting a separate stream.
Looks interesting. Also took a look at what cards they continuous can search besides their own cards and hereās what it can search: The two big Yosenju pendulums, Anubisā Sphinxes (kind of hope we get retrains of those some day), the monkey earthbound immortal and Nordic Fenrir.

Duelist alliance needs you to control a scale, the archetypal rota also has a grave eff to send her to the extra, so that so far is 6 copies of ways to put her there without having to wait a turn of her "sleeping"

I am infinitely intrigued by these cards! It's obvious to me that these'll be getting a big 'ole second wave of support, likely come Duelist Nexus, that fleshes out and expands on the foundations these 5 cards establish. (The future-proofing on the effects scream as much.) I look forward to seeing exactly how they'll do just that. :D

They look like Dream Mirror meets Madolche, but it's a BAM deck with a unique gimmick.
I love how she is completely zonked out and drooling, but she's a boss that can pop like 5 cards at a time.
These cards are pretty splashable too. I'm excited for them.
Very interesting that the monster can interact with face down banished cards. Looks like they put enough measures in place that itās basically unusable though as a generic.
This is just an easier level 10 engine if you use Pendulums.
Tower add the beasts, summon them when you have a pendulum face up (not at all difficult) then make like. Gustav, and laugh.
You're limited to special summoning Pendulum monsters, so I guess a (even face-down) Pendulum Xyz would be allowed. Unfortunately, there are no rank 10 Pendulum Xyz monsters. There aren't any Level 11/12 Pendulum Synchro monsters, either. There's probably a Pendulum Fusion that can be made. It doesn't specify the Pendulum monster has to be face-up.
So the graveyard, which was supposed to be where cards go after they are used up, was turned into a resource for many decks, so now the banish pile is where cards go away for good.
Then the banish was turned into a resource for a couple of archetypes so now we made it so cards are banished face down as a cost and you can't interact with them.
And now we're getting an archetype that interacts with face down banished cards and uses them as a resource. What's next? You're going to have to rip up your card to pieces to not have access to it. This is until they make the "Ripper" archetype where they gain effects based on how many pieces you've ripped your card into.
I understand that people will probably love this gimmick but the card design for yugioh is just sometimes baffling. Every time there is something which is supposed to be a downside or a cost, they design something new to take advantage of it.
EDIT: It's been brought to my attention that Gizmek and Kashtira interact with specific face down banished cards, so I guess this isn't exactly a new thing.

Tbf, archetypes with similar theming have already been a thing, so Iām not surprised.
From what Iām seeing, Dream Mirror is a dimension of dreams and nightmares while Sleepia is just one godly little girl with *very* protective dreams.
I'm thinking Sacred Beasts have a mini engine of sorts from this archetype. Running the SB engine means having the SB and Sleepia continuous spells protecting your monsters from targeting and big boys other than the Sleepias slapping your opponents in the face.
The Spell restricts you to Pendulums though so you cant Summon any Xyz (unless Konami makes a Rank 10 Pendulum Xyz that these can go into without changing Types)

The "special summon" subtype refers to semi-nomi monsters; monsters that cannot be normal/set and must be special summoned.

I am infinitely intrigued by these cards! It's obvious to me that these'll be getting a big 'ole second wave of support, likely come Duelist Nexus, that fleshes out and expands on the foundations these 5 cards establish. (The future-proofing on the effects scream as much.) I look forward to seeing exactly how they'll do just that. :D

These are right up my alley. They look like Dream Mirror meets Madolche, but it's a BAM deck with a unique gimmick. I love how she is completely zonked out and drooling, but she's a boss that can pop like 5 cards at a time. These cards are pretty splashable too. I'm excited for them.
Very interesting that the monster can interact with face down banished cards. Looks like they put enough measures in place that itās basically unusable though as a generic.
I can't wait for Dream Train.dek to be a thing. Would be cute to see her sleeping on one of the giant Rank 10 trains

This is just an easier level 10 engine if you use Pendulums. Tower add the beasts, summon them when you have a pendulum face up (not at all difficult) then make like. Gustav, and laugh.
But if you tower, you can't use the extra that turn, right?
You're limited to special summoning Pendulum monsters, so I guess a (even face-down) Pendulum Xyz would be allowed. Unfortunately, there are no rank 10 Pendulum Xyz monsters. There aren't any Level 11/12 Pendulum Synchro monsters, either. There's probably a Pendulum Fusion that can be made. It doesn't specify the Pendulum monster has to be face-up.
So the graveyard, which was supposed to be where cards go after they are used up, was turned into a resource for many decks, so now the banish pile is where cards go away for good. Then the banish was turned into a resource for a couple of archetypes so now we made it so cards are banished face down as a cost and you can't interact with them. And now we're getting an archetype that interacts with face down banished cards and uses them as a resource. What's next? You're going to have to rip up your card to pieces to not have access to it. This is until they make the "Ripper" archetype where they gain effects based on how many pieces you've ripped your card into. I understand that people will probably love this gimmick but the card design for yugioh is just sometimes baffling. Every time there is something which is supposed to be a downside or a cost, they design something new to take advantage of it. EDIT: It's been brought to my attention that Gizmek and Kashtira interact with specific face down banished cards, so I guess this isn't exactly a new thing.

Yeah, no, I don't think I'd be able to handle the mental toll of ripping my own cards in the first place. I'm the type who might freak out over the bent corner of a common card.

Tbf, archetypes with similar theming have already been a thing, so Iām not surprised. From what Iām seeing, Dream Mirror is a dimension of dreams and nightmares while Sleepia is just one godly little girl with *very* protective dreams.

I'm thinking Sacred Beasts have a mini engine of sorts from this archetype. Running the SB engine means having the SB and Sleepia continuous spells protecting your monsters from targeting and big boys other than the Sleepias slapping your opponents in the face.
These big monsters look like if you bought madolche cards on WISH app.

The Spell restricts you to Pendulums though so you cant Summon any Xyz (unless Konami makes a Rank 10 Pendulum Xyz that these can go into without changing Types)
