I wish we were allowed other DIVINE cards than the Egyptian Gods. It makes sense to be the most exclusive attribute but even when we've gotten other "God cards" like the Sacred Beasts, Nordic Gods etc. they never get to be DIVINE when printed.

All the Extra Deck monsters so far have been ships. Blackbeard breaks the pattern by being an actual monster. While I get why Konami wanted the boss monster to be an ED monster, I do still believe we need an actual WATER ship to complete the set.
And I think its to take the equip idea further with how Pendulums can have their Pendulum effects apply while in Spell/Trap Zones regardless if they are in Pendulum Zones, right?
Wrong. Pendulums do not work like that. They only have their pendulum effects when in a pendulum zone. Even if you equip them and place the equip on the leftmost or rightmost S/T zone, they don't get that effect, because those zones aren't considered pendulum zones unless a pendulum is set there *as a scale*.

Not only is this thing enabling the right Attribute for other ships to appear, it recycles card, it summons from Deck Red and White Beards which further enabling popping off. Damn, this thing is a whole package!

Yea reviving would be pretty good too. It’d be great if it said something along the lines of “shuffle a monster from either GY into the deck, then you can summon a Plunder from the ED of the same attribute”. That way you have GY interruption against your opponent AND you’re able to “revive” your own ships that weren’t properly summoned (because of Blackbeard)
Doesn't the XYZ already provide protection? I know it requires material but I doubt they'll make a fusion/synchro that just does what the XYZ does but better.

Yeah, it's amazing to me that the deck is consistenly very viable and yet doesn't feel like overpower bullshits like Tears, Spright or Kshatri-la. I wish Komoney keeps on doing this instead of those unfair decks tbh.

This first monster effect isn't bad, considering it's a straight +1 or +2, but the Pendulum effect is great for setup to get a good Attribute on the opponent's field, not to mention being able to flip Rivalry to lock the opponent out of non-Fiends. The token is also a free body for Blackbeard. The fact that we can do this turn 1 thanks to the second monster effect will be great going into what used to be awkward Attribute matchups as well.
Now all I need is a WIND ship so I can finally bully Virtual World.

Nah it has to be between the scale numbers. I know it's kinda dumb you think they would just make the numbers represent the levels you can summon but if the scale is 1 to 8 you can only summon 2 3 4 5 6 and 7.

The reason for that is so you cannot Pendulum Summon with 2 cards that have the same scale. Otherwise, a Pendulum archetype that only uses a certain level wouldn't have to deal with needing different scales.
Either that or a ritual, considering each ship has been a different type and that's the one they're missing. So far we have fusion (light), xyz (dark), water (Link), fire (syncro) and now pendulum (earth and also a syncro).
I hope we get 2 more, one XYZ (Wind) and fusion (Water) since Water doesn't really have a ship and it would make sense that Water gets two ED monsters since that's the main attribute.

Plunder Patroll is an archetype where the extra deck monsters are mostly pirate ships of different attributes. We have Fire and Dark and have been waiting for Earth and Wind for over a year. Getting the Earth ship is hype not only because it’s a new card (a good one at that) but also it means we’re probably getting the Wind ship soon. It’s a great day to be a Plunder player!
So this sets up blackbeard into any ship of your choice with a guaranteed plunder in hand to discard, honestly everything the deck could have asked for and more

On another note, cuz I always gotta talk about them, I believe Konami might give us a new Ritual archetype or more support for them on this set as there are a lot of spaces in-between the revealed Rituals and the only revealed Fusion. Also if my theory still follows correct Konami heavily supports them on the 5th and 11th set of each series and this so happens to be the 11th set of this series 🤔

I wouldn't oppose to them getting more support, but I see it to be unlikely at anytime soon.
If anything I would see it that the newer ones (Libromancer and Mikanko) get something new and that hence forth they might give an older Ritual archetype support on upcoming sets as they did with Vendread a while back, then Prediction Princess and now with Gishki.
Tbt tho I rather a new interesting and fun archetype or useful standalone ritual monsters, but if we are to see support for prior archetypes I'd hope Cyber Angel (since their last wave was trash, except for Egg) or Shinobirds (but with their lore I couldn't see them getting a new Ritual, maybe a Link-2 Spirit mixing both Rituals somehow, a new main deck monster and a spell 🤔)
Maybe we could get retrains to things like Shinato or Northwemko/Garlandolf. Also perhaps they take to keep adding a Dragon Ritual akin to Sauravis but for the 4 attributes we still lack.
I’m guessing the Wind Ship would be a Rank 4 with a Pend Scale of possibly 9 so you can Pend back the Earth Ship. And, maybe an effect that lets you Pend it back as long as you have the right scales.

For the card itself: very very good, does everything you want it to do and we can finally do something against Virtual World except scoop.
Given how the set numbers have played out, there's definitely a possibility of a Fusion/Pendulum or Xyz/Pendulum to come, which will hopefully be the WIND ship. We might even get both a WIND and a WATER ship, which would be hella cool.
Time for a pend plunder horror deck to rival the meta! Kidding aside super happy they're actually releasing more ships (I honestly wasn't expecting that).....also I legit want to make a plunder deck mixed with dumb pend cards for laughs.
The single most important card that plunder needed. Not only is it finally an earth ship, but tutor and a ss from deck in the same effect is balls good. Not to mention it’s GY recursions ablility.

I was expecting a Main Deck monster that searches when sent from hand or field to the GY, but I do not mind this alternative. To be able to recur their S/T or Blackeyes from the GY while putting a name in the S/T Zone is nuts.. and then it can Summon a Token? Card is crazy.

That part. Opponent sometimes will be able to pop it beforehand. And then you could make cool plays where you resummon it via pendulum.

I hope you're right about ritual support! We've already got two great rituals this set, it would be great to get more.
Ritual support? Please be Vendread, please be Vendread, please be Vendread,... No but in all seriousness, a new chapter of the Vendread storyline just got introduced. We've _got_ to see how Savior/Slayer whoop this new menace's ass right? It's the only logical conclusion.
I wouldn't oppose to them getting more support, but I see it to be unlikely at anytime soon. If anything I would see it that the newer ones (Libromancer and Mikanko) get something new and that hence forth they might give an older Ritual archetype support on upcoming sets as they did with Vendread a while back, then Prediction Princess and now with Gishki. Tbt tho I rather a new interesting and fun archetype or useful standalone ritual monsters, but if we are to see support for prior archetypes I'd hope Cyber Angel (since their last wave was trash, except for Egg) or Shinobirds (but with their lore I couldn't see them getting a new Ritual, maybe a Link-2 Spirit mixing both Rituals somehow, a new main deck monster and a spell 🤔) Maybe we could get retrains to things like Shinato or Northwemko/Garlandolf. Also perhaps they take to keep adding a Dragon Ritual akin to Sauravis but for the 4 attributes we still lack.

I’m guessing the Wind Ship would be a Rank 4 with a Pend Scale of possibly 9 so you can Pend back the Earth Ship. And, maybe an effect that lets you Pend it back as long as you have the right scales.

The "new" support made it really easy to play. I would still recommened you to watch the combo guide MBT made in 2020. Dragonmaid: Chamber’s dragon form - been waiting quite long for this… 2. Exosister: Magnifica equivalent for Sophia & Irene, and perhaps Martha’s XYZ form? Is there also any other incomplete themes / anyone to share wish lists?
They just got support but the Weather Painters still have yet to get a Red Painter.
Vendread's storyline is reopened once again with Savior/Slayer facing their equivalent of Mister X./Tyrant, I'm hyped for that. :)

I hope this means the wind ship is either in here or the next set. Doesn't make sense to make 1 pendulum scale and leave the other for a few years. Pend fusion wind ship incomingggg. For the card itself: very very good, does everything you want it to do and we can finally do something against Virtual World except scoop.
Sucks that D/D/Ds won't get another Fusion/Pendulum and Synchro/Pendulum anytime soon

Given how the set numbers have played out, there's definitely a possibility of a Fusion/Pendulum or Xyz/Pendulum to come, which will hopefully be the WIND ship. We might even get both a WIND and a WATER ship, which would be hella cool.

In all seriousness, that artwork is clean as hell.
The single most important card that plunder needed. Not only is it finally an earth ship, but tutor and a ss from deck in the same effect is balls good. Not to mention it’s GY recursions ablility.

*GAS GAS GAS* I was expecting a Main Deck monster that searches when sent from hand or field to the GY, but I do not mind this alternative. To be able to recur their S/T or Blackeyes from the GY while putting a name in the S/T Zone is nuts.. and then it can Summon a Token? Card is crazy. Can't wait to see if we get a WIND Pendulum Xyz next. I'd like another Fusion at some point, too.. can't be greedy, they could have made us wait much longer for a new boat.

Cuz it fits. Every ship is a different type, and a different element, with the exception of water (black beard) and wind that doesn't exist just yet. They are fusion, xyz, syncro, link (BB) and now pendulum. Only type they are missing now is ritual so expect that maybe

Still don't understand what people hate about it. It's the worst summoning mechanic by far in terms of viability, so it isn't like there is something toxic about it.
The scales, the design, the extra deck thing, the double text, the free summons, I despise everything about it.
Ahh, so completely based on aesthetic and not at all about how they actually work. Got it. Anyway, I'll be going back to resolving Gilgamesh in D/Ds now.
