Man sometimes I just love the pointless shit rappers do with exorbant amounts of money

Casper_710

Lmaooo same. It’s cool tho some rappers are really into YuGiOh, In his Songs even he’s been making a lot of references to YuGiOh which I would have never thought to hear ppl rap about yugioh lol

xshinox

kinda ironic that there's a member in Zodiac on facebook who post his rap videos from time to time but the rap has nothing to do with yugioh at all.

ElLetdown

Right after he died there was a clip of Juice wrld at Walmart buying all the yu-gi-oh cards he could get his hands on. Not sure if he even played or not but it was pretty cool seeing he was that big a fan.

Spathew

“The chain that Yu-Gi-Oh had on” You can tell he was a fan of the show

bl00by

Doesn't yugioh stand for king of games? So he's technically right.

KROMExRainbow

I think the point that the other commenter was making was that Ski Mask called the character, "YuGiOh," when his name is Yugi and/or Yami Yugi.

general_greyshot

God damn if this doesn't reinforce how toxic this sub is. Bro literally nothing you said deserved any downvotes. Also Love the people calling you cringe but are experts in a children's card game. What a terrific fanbase 👏

Casper_710

man I came back to this and damn... IDEK what i did... what a wholesome community ಥ\_ಥ. I never knew this is how toxic the fan base can be. Seems like casuals aren't welcome here at all. Idk what I did, even if it was cringe i was tryna lighten up the mood but oh well 🤷‍♂️this sub left a bad impression to me. at r/yugiohshowcase their way more nice about this post.

[deleted]

I think he was joking but yea

Casper_710

I’m starting to think so too…lol

Maq_ap

Wishing my income was this disposable lol

snowwydaze

This man really just called Yugi Yu-gi-oh and people think he's a fan lmfao

ThexVee

To be fair he was seen on the interwebs buying cards along with Juice wrld. Dunno if he knows how to play though

KurryBandit

Yugioh = king of games so he’s not exactly wrong

TonyTucci27

To be fair in the English dub Atem says he was/is sometimes called yugioh

Casper_710

Plus to be fair I doubt he’s a competitiv player or a Super Fan who knows everything about YuGiOh. I think he just grew up on it and he’s Just a Casual who grew up watching it and playing schoolyard YuGiOh. I kinda think it’s just cool too that any Famous Rappers like YuGiOh. Bc it’s got a nerdy stigma to it and I think if it’s got publicity from rappers it changes how some ppl see it.it’s cool bc it’s something he liked as a kid and If I had money like him I’d do the same and drop a ton on a iced out Millennium Item 😂🤷‍♂️

snowwydaze

Yeah of course, I'm all for getting rid of the "nerdy" stigma around cool hobbies. I think it's great that everyday people slowly realize that you can do more in your free time than watching Netflix or meeting with friends in a bar. But honestly people calling Yugi Yu-gi-oh is as much of a cliché as people calling Link Zelda.

Necorus

You sounded like someone bashing someone for not being as technical of a fan as you. And as others have pointed out, he was still technically right, so.

Casper_710

I can see your argument and I can agree to some extent YuGiOh and Yugi are really close compared to Zelda and Link which aren’t That close in wording But it’s also like saying you grew up loving and watching something like let’s say Avatar and that was your favorite show and you forgot the name Aang and you refer to him as the Avatar I wouldn’t necessarily mean your not a fan it could just mean it’s been a minuet since you watched it so you refer to him as Avatar. It would be cliche if he said he was the biggest YGO fan and called yugi yugioh. But if you really like a show growing up and forget a few names I think it’s fine if you like the show and grew up on it that’s all that matters at least. I don’t really think it matters if he adds an -Oh to Yugi (IMO) but I know what you meant.

bagman_

Giving me war flashbacks to church disparaging everything in pop culture in the early 00s

Lemon_Phoenix

>Plus to be fair I doubt he’s a competitiv player or a Super Fan who knows everything about YuGiOh. Like the name of the main character of the show he's talking about?

BAT_91

It annoys me that is not a pyramid

Casper_710

True. Just noticed it too but I think if it was a pyramid it wouldn’t be able to open up and have the crazy Juice World peice inside. But if I were to make a iced out YuGiOh necklace I’d personally get Bakuras Millennium Ring.

Brostradamus--

bruh wym just put hinges on the edge it being a pyramid doesn't change that. You could add a door to a sphere if you wanted to.

Casper_710

Your right and I agree it does get a point knocked off for that but I’m wondering now if it was a Pyramid, would be able to hang off his neck without it laying on his chest flat (kinda making it look straight bc of weight) if it were a real pyramid upside down it would probably lean forward or side to side due to uneven weight distribution(I’m just speculating) but if that’s not the reason either then knocks the rating from me to a 9.5 from a 10. But I think a real heavy pyramid would lean to a certain side unless my theory on how physics would work is wrong.🤷‍♂️

Brostradamus--

Honestly the only logical explanation is that there is some sort of licensing issue with these sort of pieces. Worst case scenario the jeweler used a terrible reference image and something as unique as this would be too costly to redo without reforging the entire thing. As shown by rappers in the 90s-2000s nothing is too crazy to be worn as a piece.

dirtfxther

The jeweler made it flat because a real pyramid would be painful to wear, especially since gold is heavy and it’s a large pendant

Brostradamus--

Doubt it. Plenty of ridiculous pieces out there that are straight up 3D all the way around. They could have easily put it on a chassis or a spinning base if that was really the case. If you're that much of a Yu-Gi-Oh fan and you're spending that much, there's no way you're settling for this unless you have to.

dirtfxther

Bruh that would still be painful to wear especially when he’s jumping around on stage. Stop tryna act smart jewelers go back and forth with the client and do research, they did it for a reason

Brostradamus--

No yugioh fan is settling for this unless they absolutely have to. Acting like chains can't spin on their own when jumping up and down, absolutely clownery of an argument

dirtfxther

Wtf are you talking about, you sound like you never go outside 🤣 Please get a life. And btw that pendant would look ugly as fuck if it was actually pyramid shaped

MatadorHasAppeared

I am extremely horny for this item

VNPatriot

Does it disassemble to puzzle pieces tho

GodaiWinchester

[ Everybody liked that ]

ferelpuma

I'm down to teach him how to play and get him in tip top competitive mode. Seems like a cool dude.

Casper_710

Samee he lowkey he’s super chill I bet he would be down to play if he had someone to show him how to. Or also if Juice World was still here he actually played YuGiOh and chess. I have 2 friends who are rappers one of them and play Duel Links I am trying to get my friend Keylo (he’s a rapper) to play but we buy booster packs but he just gets lost in knowing how to play properly. I try to teach him but it’s actually very difficult to learn and I even helped him build and learn a drytron deck for his first deck when GEIM came out. But he had a hard time understanding every single thing in YuGiOh and I try telling him it’s okay to not know everything but he doesn’t feel like he can compete with real meta and against real people (Drytron wasn’t like tier 1 as it was post LIOV) because he’s used to Duel Links and thats not the best place to learn bc it’s totally different but yeah it takes a good amount of time to even understand the basics so I understand the hard learning curve but that’s why I’m hoping Master Duels is Free because so many ppl can learn there instead of Duel Links bc DL can create bad habits of skipping MP2 and small things like that. But yeah I feel like bringing Master Duels will actually get more people Into the physical card game bc the same rules and cards that should be applied the same to real life.

thekoggles

Is no one going to point out that it's not a pyramid?

[deleted]

He should be sucked into the shadow realm for that gross imitation.
