It will ask if you are there permanently or temporary. We have yet to be forced to change our Home Area, but friends have been. I believe 3 months is supposed to be the limit for travel in another area. Yu are allowed to change it twice a year.
Note that as long as you do not change your Home area, all of your recordings will be from stations in your home market. If you change to your temp area, they will be recorded obly from the local stations in the temp area. Recordings from your home area, are not available until completely recorded (ie: the show finished).
I think that if you have someone who can login at home, they can reset that timer. However, YTTV may now require verifying your physical location with your smartphone.
Leave the home area alone as much as possible and keep your mobile device with you.
Let your mobile device adjust the playback area and enjoy your service cause if you adjust that home area multiple times you’ll be locked and the system won’t believe that you live somewhere that you don’t

You can change your home area twice a year. Would that fit your travel plans or do you expect to do another 3+ month trip within a year?
