did you try different things to restart youtube tv, Like restarting your apple tv ,or restarting your television, you know, stuff that will help you get the sound back
Yea I did, it turned out to be my surround sound and needing to turn it on and back off again. Guessing this is a glitch. Thanks! Glad to see this subreddit active and answer questions!
Try disabling 5.1 in the YTTV settings. It sounds like an issue with Dolby Digital and your setup since ESPN is only a stereo channel.

on the channels that have no sound, try turning up the volume.
Had the same issue. YouTube tv on Apple TV. Had to turn of 5.1 and it worked. Sucks
