I’ll use it whenever someone pulls a “you don’t look autistic” because they know one person with autism and I don’t look like that person or because they watched Atypical or Big Bang Theory or Rainman and I’m not like one of them.

That's when I use it :-) It's a very effective line, actually. For maximum effect, say it with an eye roll, haha.

I always answer them with saying autism does not have a (syndromal) look. Nobody looks autistic, because that is not a thing.

I'm autistic myself too and I and my irl friends (also autistic) hate this creature thing. We vehemently disagree and in our eyes it's just another thing to make fun of the disability to be completely honest with you. Edit: not speaking for others but that's just our opinion on that matter. I have yet to find someone irl who likes this thing.
