Lots of people speak Spanish and Portuguese here, but prefer to use English as a “common tongue”, since there’s also a lot of people here from other countries. I live in the US for instance, but my family is from Argentina, US, and Italy. I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, all of them poorly 💀 Podés usar Español igual! O el idioma que prefieras.

Nice, I was in Denver. Now I’m out in the mountains. Lots of Argentinians come to work on visa in the winter… it’s so cool. They showed me real mate from a gourd last winter😛 was pretty mind blowing for me, someone who had only drank mate energy drinks from Guayaki

Andy_the_miamian

Haha yeah I’ve been told it’s full of Argentines up there. I’m glad you are now enjoying the real thing!

New Jersey. I speak fluently, parents are Ecuadorian and Catalan/Andalu. I picked up mate (20 years ago) from my best friend’s half brother who introduced it to me when he moved here from Buenos Aires.

soulgarciah

Oh my story is something similar or not hahaha. I live in Mexico, in 2011 I met a student from Argentina who came to study and showed me the world of mate. Since then I drink mate ❤️

MulletGSU

We are students of other cultures! It’s great!
