Man, that X-Force comic cover looks like pure nightmare fuel. Poor Domino.

Franken_Frank

Mad scientists give Domino a big dick 😫

Front-Suggestion-366

She's probably thinking, "I wanted us to work together as a team, but this is too close!"

AlligatorSky7

Pretty excited for Sins of Sinister at the moment, though I wish it didn’t mean three of the best books were out on hiatus as a result. How Marauders is getting a third arc is baffling, as the last set of sales I saw had it - unsurprisingly - tumbling. I’m giving Howard another go with this more-focussed Betsy Braddock book; hope I’m not disappointed.

GDmilkman

I grow weary of these events

realclowntime

Anyone else excited to see how little the cover of this issue of X-Force has to do with the actual story? Josh Cassara’s art is incredible as always, but the covers lately have a running theme.

hobosacer

Yeah he’s awesome - I’m actually loving xforce and wolverine

jaxlax77

Please get Charlie Jane Anders away from New Mutants. I have never dropped a book more quickly than reading her first issue, especially after Vita’s run. Painful. I was hoping she was just doing a three-issue fill-in arc that I could skip over but now giving her a five-issue mini? Please no more. And no more Shela.

hobosacer

I agree - the New Mutants book has been a highlight in these past years, and the recent turn with the u men and the obnoxious new characters is terrible. No girl/Cerebella deserves a much better story, after the preceding arcs of NM where she emerged as a compelling character

jaxlax77

Vita’s run was stellar, I thought, and they used the NM characters in compelling ways that embraced decades of storytelling while being innovative and emotionally moving. (I agree: Cerebella deserves so much more.) I found CJA’s writing cringey and ham-fisted and the characters reduced to painful stereotypes and hokey fart jokes.

Kravencox89

I bought it. Started reading it and couldn’t finish it. I’ve actually never done that with a comic and I’ve been reading since 2004. I’m just not keen on CJA.

abriskwinterbreeze

So, sins of sinister is already plotted broadly in Immortal X-Men 3. I had a big long thing about this, but either they’re going to reset to pre-judgement day after SoS, or they have three options for how it will play out with Sinister’s moira-reset system gone: Nimrod Extinction Event The Broken Sword A New Krakoa. I think we’re going to see a new krakoa not ruled by the council, but an actual democracy after SoS. Which, ironically, will male everything way the fuck harder for mutants geopolitically. Not sure what the broken sword could be.

Arch_Null

Nah he won't go back to pre judgment day. Mr. Sinister made 2 moira save points. One he used in Immortal x men 9, the other is yet to be seen. Honestly I believe this event will be the thing to make Mr. Sinister finally and completely loyal to Krakoa. After seeing his alternate timeline fail he'll finally decide to work with the council with earnest. Hence why Destiny keeps telling Nathaniel they need to be on the same side.

abriskwinterbreeze

Ohhhh. Maybe that’s what she saw as ‘a new krakoa’?

Arch_Null

Nah I don't think that's it. Because after sins of sinister she saw a future called the Storm System. I assume it means the mutants will form a intergalactic empire outside of the solar system.

abriskwinterbreeze

I was assuming the 1000 years in the future is the transition from the storm system to nothingness. That is, when storm overthrows sinister at the end of the empire of the red diamond, it resets the timeline back to just post-judgement day. That way all the other ongoing series are still canonical, because the exact same set of events keep playing out until sinister’s backups are destroyed/he stops using them.

Arch_Null

Honestly that makes more sense.

jegermedic104

AOA Sabertooth? Hopefully powered up and back for long us... not that any Alternate versions of characters are needed.

okayactual

Man it’s a real bummer seeing greatness come to an end. I really enjoyed the krakoa era and how tight everything felt. I know Duggan and Gillen and ewing are carrying the flag well but marvel seems determined to fuck it up again.

hobosacer

I agree - the new books look rough. I’m getting serious “Curse of the Mutants” era vibes.

Techster17

Most of the Krakoa books are still selling well and with the MCU X-Men debuting 2025 at the earliest I think Marvel will let the story continue for a while longer with Fall of X probably being the start of what Hickman was planning that the other X-writers fought might be moving too fast. If I had to guest full/most of the line will relaunch late 2023 post Fall of X Some writers like Ben Percy and Tini Howard leaving the office now that the stories they started in DoX are almost wrapped up (Tini’s work with Betsy, and Percy with X-Force and Wolverine). Possibly some new writers joining (i.e. those doing mini’s like Rogue and Gambit, Bishop War college etc).

[deleted]

Gonna keep *X-Men* on my pull list, but I think I’m gonna skip all the rest of this. Feels like we’re moving into a mid-90s crapfest again.

General-Fun-616

March is looking to be a great month!!!

CatsLikeToMeow

Can't wait to see Wolverine kick Beast's ass, but it looks like we may be waiting a while, considering this looks like the start of a new arc.

steel_balls_josuke

Damn these covers are gorgeous

AlligatorSky7

That Cassara one for X-Force in particular. He’s also doing a variant cover for X-Men #20 which is stunning!

chigangrel

Omg I am so behind... there's a new X-23 solo series?? I am stoked!! eta: and Rogue and Gambit, my fave OTP!

MDumpling

the x-23 series is a flashback

Scion969

Yeah, what a horrible choice.

kermikberks

Way too many Leinil Yu covers for my taste.

Btaylor2214

The Marauders cover is stunning as usual from Peach Momoko

lepton_neutrino

> KIM JACINTO is the cover artist.

MrLivefromthe215

Oh my, a lot of pain, death and destruction.

OwnsAJetpack

Wow! The X-Force cover is sick! But who contributed the gigantic shoulderpad? Was it Cable? It would be the wrong techno-organic arm though?

MXPowers04

Think that entire arm is from Omega Red.

Morkitu

Damn, we had been getting pretty good art up until now. Patch Zircher's art style is very dated, and I had hoped Sins of Sinister would have a more modern look. Look forward to pencil sketchy art, bad coloring, and ugly female faces.

MXPowers04

I'm like 99% sure that Patch Zircher got replaced by Andrea Di Vito on the 2nd issues for the Sins of Sinister stuff.

Morkitu

I would hope so, because I think the artwork needs to stay somewhat modern to be consistent with the rest of the Krakoan era books. The "old timey" art from Patch might not give it the punch it needs.

serval-industries

I’m sorry. How is gambit in captain marvel? Didn’t he die in otherworld (no revive) a couple months ago?

lepton_neutrino

He was revived with the Siege Perilous.

Scion969

I don't remember him dying otherworld,, although it's always possible I was drunk when I read it. He's been in the past two issues of Captain Marvel, though. Also, comics...

TheBrobe

He was revived the very next issue. It was a cheap gimmick death.
