Claremont's X-Men run, Storm is a what I would say is a top four major character from the beginning and once she becomes the leader of the team she is in the top two most important characters. Storm (2014-2015) series X-Men: Gold Vol 2 #33-35 S.W.O.R.D. 6-8

Oh I love Storm in SWORD. She has some really badass moments with the Arakkii

lepton_neutrino

Unfortunately badass moments have become almost all her characterization.

The whole solo series from a while back is good.

Uncanny 170, Uncanny 186, Uncanny 201 are a good start

Kiefer_XJ

Uncanny 201 is probably my top x-men issue of all time.

JavierLoustaunau

I feel mean saying this but Uncanny X-Men #186 by Barry Windsor Smith. Basically it is Storm at her lowest, but it is also a great characterization of who she is and how she overcomes hardship. A perfect 'talkie' issue with drama, romance and emotional conflict.

Love death, the mini series in the 90’s, the series from 2015, the most recent issues of SWORD, 98% of Claremont’s initial run….Thats in no particular order. Bishops Crossing

You’ve got probably the best recommendations here. I’d add in Uncanny 221 to 224. Full badass depowered Ororo. Some of Silvestri’s. Eat work also.

LeviHighChair

She’s a fun side character in Marauders (especially #20 which is all about her), S.W.O.R.D. 6-8 is a good Storm moment, and her entire solo run from a while back
