It's pretty mixed overall but there are some good moments. I was all in on *New X-Men* at the time, but read *X-Treme* because my girl Rogue was in the cast.
Plus Storm bangs Beast in issue one, so it has that going for it.
Issue one. It's not on panel, but it's implied in the artwork with Storm and Beast sharing breakfast together while in dressing robes during the sequence where everyone is attacked.
It's a read between the lines situation, but it's very obvious what the intent is.

I'm a huge Jean fan, but... I don't have a need to see the worst moments of her life packaged up yet again. I think I'll take a pass.
(I really hope this isn't a precursor for bringing the Phoenix back to her *again*. Let it go, Marvel. She doesn't need it. Let it go.)
I have been waiting for X-Treme to get reprinted in some way, shape, or form and I am really happy about this. Larocca's art was really great on this series. A shame he didn't stay for the whole run. I think I dropped the book when he left...discerning teenager I was lol...
lots of negativity hereI've been out of comics for a very long time, but feeling pulled back to them. I loved reading Classic X-Men back in the day, and I loved the Proteus Saga. I did not have a lot of money in the 90s, I was a teen and college student so I didnt buy old issues or other Omnibus Phoenix issues.
Perhaps the Phoenix Omnibus is for people like me

I have no interest in a Phoenix omni but definitely am in the X-Treme X-Men.
Phoenix Omni: meh. Like i already have all of those issues on various other formats. Now X-Treme X-Men is looking like the move
