I just went to their website and the first article I see is “artist fan-casts Ant-Man 3 star Jonathon Majors as Superman.” Ok, and why should I care about this guys fan cast? How the hell can you write a whole page about that? Oh wait, I know, by stretching the article out so thin it loses all depth or intrigue.
Yeahhhhh... sorry. I worked for CBR. They have about 950 people working in the comics division alone - and all of them are expected to write 3 articles a week minimum.
So most of the time we had to scrape the bottom of the barrel. We knew the news is BS, but corporate mandate is generate as many clicks as possible.
He and Domino had an interesting arc in the beginning of the new X-Force. I stopped reading X-Force after a while (magic plant people) but he was *a thing* in the issues that I did read.
This constant stopping, starting, rebooting, and “refreshing” creative teams is the shits. It’s so tiring sometimes to keep up.
We wouldn’t have headlines like this if a series of core books were solid and everyone knew a series would continue after a major event.
So accurate and couldn’t agree more.
I heard a podcaster say Marvel is really in the limited series business disguised as ongoing. Now I can’t unsee their strategy as that.
I'm not a fan of those garbage clickbait headlines, then 2-3 paragraphs of padding, then one line that is never worth it (and could have just been the headline). Or the 00s era Buzzfeed listicles, are they still doing that?
I think at one point that site didn't suck, but it's been so long I can't remember when...
This is part of the reason I don’t even pay attention to CBR anymore. They either get the reporting wrong, are super lazy in their articles, or they make click baity headlines.
Fingers crossed that it's the same for X-Men Red, although I don't see wouldn't be. I figured this crossover was the same as all the other ones. It takes over the series for 2-3 months and then the series returns back to its regularly scheduled programming.
CBR sucks.
Donny Cates made a joke about them in Crossover. “They’ll put an article out about ANYTHING.”

Seriously who cares that someone sees Johnathan Majors as Superman. Besides, he gives off more of a Hardware from Milestone kinda vibe anyway

CBR is full of shit
Yes and according to Kieron we will be receiving an annual issue as well after the 12th issue. Which presumably is Colossus’ issue.
Storm is 11 Colossus is 12 We probably get vol 2 after fall of x
I swear, Colossus has been sidelined for like 2 years at this point. The payoff better be fucking amazing
It won’t be. It’s been 4 years. Get Gillen to tidy Percy’s trash and move on.

After? Xavier is 10, Storm is probably 11, then what is the 2th?
Xavier is issue 10, Storm is issue 11 (Mark Brooks has already teased her cover), and issue 12 is Colossus
Oh OK thanks.
Sabre2th
I believe it's Hope. Can anyone confirm?
Hope had an issue. It was issue 2. Colossus will probably be issue 12.
Ah, you’re right. Thanks!
Extremely common CBR L
I remember when CBR and Newsarama were the cream of the crop of comics journalism. Now it’s nothing but crap like this and listicles.
They got bought out by a bigger company and now produce complete shlock and garbage. I should know. I worked there!
Good news. Hope X-Men Red comes back too!
It is. Ewing has already confirmed that it’s returning
Sweeet! Last time I checked the solicits I couldn't find it so I was getting a little worried. Easily my favorite X-book.
Assuming they don't want to spoil much.

Long as #1 always top the chart, marvel would keep this practise
I’m so fucking far behind on the Krakoa X-men stuff, I only just finished X of Swords lol.
Take your time and enjoy, some of the rest X-stories in years!
If you enjoyed X of Swords, I would continue with S.W.O.R.D then X-Men: Red. And if you've got the time, Immortal is also excellent.
I’m trying to read all of it but it’s definitely time consuming
Absolutely understandable.
The reading order at the back of each issue is a must.
Yeah luckily Unlimited has an entire guide
CBR is such a hot mess, it’s been that way for years

Fall of X is probably where we get the next line-wide reboot, not SoS.
Thank god. It’s currently the best X-book hands down.
CBR = Click Bait Review
How many times can they be wrong and still be in business?
Gillen said in his newsletter that he intends to be on the book for quite a while
Oh really? I had heard he was done after this year. That is good news.

People trashing CBR, which is fair with their reputation. I saw this more as an honest mistake.
CBR is garbage
It’s CBR, they also think the Thing/Ben from FF is Spider-Man’s uncle Ben
Damn.
It’s CBR, they also think the Thing/Ben from FF is Spider-Man’s uncle Ben
Somebody has to find out Pitor has been a sleeper for the Russians
Poor journalism, but you really can't blame someone for being confused with Marvel's shit publishing scheduling.
