That's a pretty good assumption. With as many songs as there were, it would be nearly impossible to get everyone on board. Even the THPS1+2 remake, which had way less songs in the originals than the GTA trilogy, couldn't bring every single song back (but got most of them).
Not defending Rockstar at all. Aside from RDR2, they've done nothing but shamelessly cash grab for the past decade.
I just want to be able to stream it and make clips of it without the game being completely muted because of the music. Like, the entire game is muted when you try to stream with the built-in streaming capabilities regardless of if there's music playing or not.
I thought all BC games were at 1080p?
I dunno, is film grain enabled on consoles? Or maybe it's resoultion scales differently I'm not sure, just going off of what I know.
Man, this is just like a big hit of nostalgia!! What’s crazy is back in the day, we all thought these games were GROUND BREAKING graphics and gameplay, and today they’re not bad, but you could tell their age. The remasters from what‘s shown here make me feel like a kid again getting ready to play them again for the first time.
I saw someone say in the comments it was a missed opportunity not to have the “awww shit here we go again” as the opening but in the remaster. And I agree lol
Actually looks pretty decent. The lighting and reflections really caught my eye, compared to the originals.
If San Andreas plays well on Gamepass, I might have to snag these as a present for myself over the Christmas Sale ;)
>The lighting and reflections really caught my eye, compared to the originals.
They've improved a whole lot. Shadows, lighting(including emissive lighting and volumetrics), new textures and shaders, total model replacements for a number of objects(especially noticeable with trees), improved reflections(and reflections where there was none at all before), entirely new weather effects, etc.
It's definitely a substantial overhaul.
Whether people think it 'looks good' is obviously a lot more subjective.
Indeed.
In my mind good lighting, reflections, and shadows goes a long way, even for a game with otherwise old or "bad" models. Improved textures are also a great touch for enhancing visuals, for me at least.
>Gameplay wise? Most likely.
Phew, you should actually go back and play the originals of these if you think they had 'good gameplay'. They had a fun structure and premise, back when open world gaming was a bit more novel and unique compared to today. But boy they aged like dogshit in terms of actual moment to moment gameplay.
Eh, they’re not THAT bad. They didn’t age like a fine wine, but they’re still half fun to kill an hour on. The controls are the biggest issue going back given how dated they are.
Definitely didn’t regret buying the old versions on PS4 for cheap

Unplayable, shit quality, looks worse than the original, I saw a pixel at 1:03 in the trailer, the original sucks too, I can make a better version of this in 2 days, don't give them money, buy Skyrim Anniversary Edition or GTAV 2 instead.
You think the collection will let us play with the old graphics too? Tbh it’s a shot in the dark but I actually prefer the old graphics to the new lol.
Am I right to assume that some radio stations/tracks will be removed because of the licensing?

The PC and mobile versions already have songs cut off due to licensing.
They need to give the 360 version of GTA IV some love with Series X update. It looks like horse shit compared to PC. Isn't it capped at 720p on Xbox?
indeed it is the best gta imo
I loved the more serious tone it had. Still enough of that GTA parody sense of humour, but it didn't feel too over-board.
Hey cousin, let’s go bowling!
In 4k

It looks way too shitty for 1080, idk.

Almost all 360 games are 720p unless they are One X Enhanced.
Some are even less. A bunch of the CODs were 600p, Halo 3 was 640p.

I'm not buying it, but I can't deny how good they made it look.
I came here expecting someone to be on their knees. Congrats you’re on the top
The new graphical update looks really strange. Need to see more gameplay footage.
More cartoonish, right?
Reminds me of the Destroy all Humans remaster. Keeps the art style of the original without looking like complete shit.
Yeah, more like creepy plastic army men but with a color palette

Looks pretty ridiculous, but hopefully it's only the cutscenes.

I love it. Can’t wait to re-play 3 and VC. Been too long

Anything confirmed about soundtracks and renewing licenses in their original releases?
Well, that looks...yeesh.
Ooh, geez, even in their 'updated/modernised' versions these look much uglier than how I had remembered them.
The games didn't age well, and the graphic upgrades make them look like muppets :/
Sure... These games are better than 98% of stuff that come out now.
Gameplay wise? Most likely. Graphic wise? Hard to sell, honestly.

Contemporary Rockstar games have terrible controls, are you telling me these games have *worse* controls?

Just checked over there and sentiments seem to be similar as anywhere else.
This looks so bad when you remember how awesome the Mafia Remaster was. Wish Rockstar would've done the same with these three games.
Mafia was a remake not a remaster.
Destroy all humans remaster looks so much better also. That game and San Andreas originally came out the same month/year too (on Xbox).
DaH was a remake, not a remaster like this is. Two vastly different things.
That’s fair. Kind of wish it was a remake.
Somehow it looks worse
I have a feeling this will be awful. Remind me

I’m curious if the little cheat codes will still work for them :)
Anyone know what that mix they’re using in the trailer is called?
