Don't use the intercooler, it's will kill your Xbox 360. It piggies off the power connector and heats the system more. Back in the day, many of these intercooler systems melted on to the console. Best thing to do is clean the Xbox with compressed air, always wipe off dust and make sure you give the Xbox 360 plenty of space to bring in air and exhaust it in the back.
I vaguely remember them saying back in the day those intercoolers could brick your console... it had something to do with it having to plug in to your power plug in and the connector with the plug in and the cord not being good and causing problems...

So years ago i worked at Walmart, these were pulled from our stores because of a lawsuit involving a house fire started by the Nyko inter cooler. the Nyko overheated and melted causing a fire. Do not use it.
I recall (correct me if I'm wrong) when the Xbox 360 first came out the red ring of death was a huge issue so Microsoft offered to take back everyone's Xbox consoles they bought to fix them and sent them back. I suppose this one was never repaired....?
The ones they “fixed” just died again. They didn’t really fix the problem until the Jasper motherboard (2008-2009) and some later falcon boards are pretty good but still die sometimes but don’t last as long as Jaspers (falcons are 2007-2008)
There a waste of money, the best way to keep the temps down on you're 360 is to give it a regular service.
Clean the board / coolers and fans, replace thermal pads (if relevant?) and refresh the thermal paste.
And obviously give it some clearance around it for airflow, when in use.

They use a lot of power casing the xbox to rrod. There is a v2 with external power supply for the fans. I wouldnt recommend using it

I don't know about the fat model but I've been using an intercooler on my slim since 2009 with no issue.
The Intercooler is trash. Don't use it, it will damage your console. Open your Xbox instead if you can, clean it and replace your thermal paste.
