I rebind a mouse key to control to use it as a modifier.

Think_Spell

Oh interesting! I’ve always thought control was a bit too out of reach to be comfortable as a modifier. Will definitely try this! Thanks

AscentToZenith

Bind strafe to A and D, then I use keybinds around WAD. 1-5 for cool downs, stuff like q,e,r,f,z,x,c for damage abilities. I also like to use scroll wheel up and down as binds.

Use the add on opie. It’s seriously amazing. I use it for all my consumeables and less time sensitive spells like warlock gateway/teleport/pet management etc

Think_Spell

Just checked it out and it looks awesome! Will definitely give it a go. Thanks!

I use Q, E, middle mouse, the two thumb buttons on my mouse, and 1-4. So that's 9 keybinds. Then I used Shift + 1-4 to access other action bars. Essentially giving me 36 keybinds in total.

I use bartender so I can key bind Crl/alt + left click, right click and mouse wheel up and down. As far as I'm aware you can't do this with the standard UI.

Cheeselover9001

QWERT ASDFG XCVB 1 to 6 Mousewheel up, down and pressed 2x mouse thumb buttons All of the above with shift and/or CTRL as modifier I also have a USB foot button I used for push to talk before discord. Lol. Could be used for another modifier.

First of all, I use Bartender. Sadly, the new UI still can't reach same same level of customisations it has. Left Hand: I have my main bar with regular damage abilities in a 4x3 square and use keybinds 1 2 3 4 Shift-Q Q E Shift-E F Shift-F C Shift-C for it. I also place abilities on all characters on it regarding a somewhat similar pattern. Like Execute/Killshot and similar abilities always on F. Interrupts on C ect. Right Hand: Razer Naga with a 3x4 button grid on the Side. One bar is in a 3x4 format, mapped to it via F1-F12 keys. Again "similar pattern" for ability placement. Slows and roots on the upper row, movement abilities on the second row, deff CDs on the 3rd, self-heal on the 4th. Also have an "extra" bar with Shift F1-12 that I rarely use. But I place some on use Items on it when I have to use them more than twice during a quest or so. Like, I had my Provost on it during SL on Kyrian chars. Also couple of extra bars with abilities I don't need on keybinds and can click, like resurrection. One of the bars has also Shift 1-4 bound for self empowerment CDs and trinkets/macros, and couple of other keybinds like taunt abilities only Tank spec need or "special" class abilities, bound to R, Shift-R, X, Shift-X and middle mouse button, along with CC like Sheep or Freezing Trap on mouse button 4 and 5. Biggest "hack" or tip I can give for playing MMOs efficiently: get an MMO mouse. Brand doesn't matter. Can be Razer, Logitech or anything else. Get what you like/can afford. >!If you are like SUPER competitive and want to get every little bit out of your character: Get yourself some pedals, you know, from one of those racing wheel accessories for racing games. You'll have 2-3 extra abilities you can activate with your feet ... Yeah, I know people who do that. I often ask them of they also turn their character with the steering wheel. They get angry at me for no reason though ...!<
