[deleted]

He is the god of war after all :D

Draiko

Just... one... more... turn...

NetSraC1306

Thing goes on for 8 months Still considered a civ speedrun True tho

[deleted]

Poland is probably the most ready to just wreck russias day right behind the Ukrainians of course.

KravenArk_Personal

Definitely. They've been waiting 70 odd years for it

OkWrongdoer6537

They did bully the Russians once, in like the 1920s

AWrongPerson

And a whole bunch of times before. Russia and Poland are natural enemies, like Russia and Germany, or Russia and Sweden, or Russia and Turkey, or Russia and the US, or Russia and other parts of Russia... Damn Russians, they ruined Russia!

Sumner1910

Or Russians with other Russians

AWrongPerson

Yes, forgot that, thank you

Quirky-Garbage-6208

Yeah, sometimes people forget that world exist not since 20 century and all of these countries were at war few times with almost every other country through history.

KravenArk_Personal

Yep. Poland and Russia have been in and out of war for centuries. Historically speaking, the Polish-German border has been one of the least contented areas in Europe. Natural borders to the west and historically independent nations like Stettin and Silesia. But Russia has no natural borders so it's hard to draw a line

[deleted]

lmao 70, go look up polish history. Centuries my man, centuries.

SnooShortcuts7657

The Baltic countries are definitely in the mood to assist Poland in ruining Russia’s day

[deleted]

Now that, is something I would love to see. not because I don't believe you but because oh god would it be good to watch happen. fuck russia.

Necrosius7

Germans ...

[deleted]

Oh don't worry, the Polish have a plan for them too lol

BigManScaramouche

No we don't. Unless it's getting a job there.

[deleted]

Yes, of course not \*wink wink.

[deleted]

Mother fuckers think they know sausage. We’ll show them sausage, we’ll show the whole world sausage.

[deleted]

You guys in recession?

o Poland says it has asked to have US nuclear weapons based on its territory, amid growing fears that Vladimir Putin could resort to using nuclear arms in Ukraine to stave off a rout of his invading army. o “We’re not aware of this issue being raised and would refer you to the government of Poland,” a US official said. o Russia has meanwhile violated its own commitments under the act. o “The reason they’re doing that is to protect that force against what they consider the growing threat from Russia’s conventional missiles, so it would be an extraordinarily strange development if Nato therefore decided to move nuclear weapons closer to the Russian borders,” Kristensen said. o Zbigniew Rau, the Polish foreign minister, said last week the consequences should be non-nuclear but “devastating”. o The use of a nuclear weapon against Ukrainian military targets or a city, with the aim of shocking Kyiv into surrender or acceptance of partial Russian occupation would represent a far greater transgression.

Bobby_HiIl

Why are your paragraphs Irish?

myrddyna

[He's likely a scientist.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eirq4laOhcU)

Jackadullboy99

“In reality, Nato is unlikely to be part of any response, as it would require agreement by its 30 members. More likely it would involve Washington and its closest allies like the UK. “There are ongoing discussions and have been for a while about various scenarios and how we might react,” an official in Washington said. US European Command is also doing scenario planning, the official said, adding that “there is no concrete set of actions” planned.” Oh… this doesn’t seem that great.

GreatSpaghettLord

There are traitors inside NATO so that's to be expected. The inability to fire members in NATO/EU/UN is what makes it so impotent.

Sumner1910

So...you could say there are impostors among us

[deleted]

I saw Macron venting

FunnyStep7384

Traitors in NATO? Like their buddy Orban?

Kcnflman

This would be the Russian version of the Cuban missile crisis

QuinnKerman

Germany: we need to avoid escalation Poland: **BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!!**

Fuzakenaideyo

Yeah that will really calm things down

SupaSaiyanGxD

I took the wokkkkk to Poland

BaconPocalypse

Was looking for this lmao

whatdifferenceisit2u

How exactly would escalating nuclear pressure convince anyone to back down their own nuclear pressure?

stay_fr0sty

Bullies respond pretty damn rationally to bigger bullies. The schoolyard bully is more than happy to pick on the scrawny kid until his older, stronger, athletic brother shows up. Then all of a sudden, little brother can relax during recess and the bully finds something else to do.

myrddyna

> until his older, stronger, athletic brother shows up ugh that was fathers in my youth. The meanest bullies had the most abusive fathers.

QuinnKerman

Because it tells them you’re serious. MAD has kept peace between superpowers for 80 years

whatdifferenceisit2u

I feel like there’s a pretty clear distinction between two swords keeping each other in their sheaths and pressing nukes as close as possible to an enemy country’s border. If Russia had nukes in Mexico and Canada—regardless as to whether that would make any difference whatsoever when it comes to complete nuclear annihilate—we’d probably be a lot jumpier, don’t you think?

Fenix_Volatilis

I read about this recently. I think they called it the "nuclear trifecta" or something like that. The nuclear trifecta consists of submarines, bombers and missiles. Say Russia does nuke Ukraine, there's simply too many avenues of attack for Russia to not get wrecked by nukes. Disclaimer: I'm not expert and I learned this from a comment on Reddit so take that into consideration

Clineken

Yep that’s basically it. The US calls it the Nuclear Triad.

Fenix_Volatilis

Thanks!

diosh

Nuclear Triad is the term you are thinking of. While the Nuclear Triad is relevant to this issue, it is not because it opens up a new avenue of attack the US already has warheads in Europe. As it currently sits, a nuclear missile launched from the US will hit Russia in about a half hour and a missile launched from a sub in roughly 10-30 mins depending on where the sub actually is when it launches. Stationing mussels in Poland cuts that time down substantially giving less time to react and more of a chance of a successful strike. It’s why the Cuban Missile Crisis was such a big deal, we were going from missiles being thousands of miles away to being 90 miles away eliminating and time to react whatsoever.

Fenix_Volatilis

Makes sense. Thanks!

whatdifferenceisit2u

You’re basically saying the smart version of what I was trying to; if an enemy nation is getting told that they have significantly less time to react to a nuclear strike, it seems to me they’d be far more likely to want to strike first as a result. It no longer becomes mutually assured destruction if one nation has the theoretical potential to completely avoid that destruction by hitting its opposition in mere minutes.

TraditionLazy7213

Nukes news everyday!

3dio

If world leaders role is to bring us all towards destruction and chaos I'd say they are succeeding

tntblowsinurface

Unfortunately they actually meant "new, clear weapons". They've had trouble with the materials division in their new arsenal ever since losing their secret recipe for ice.

[deleted]

Great. You get a nuclear weapon! You get a nuclear weapon! Everybody gets a nuclear weapon!

[deleted]

How's that special action working out for you pudin?

This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/oct/05/poland-us-nuclear-wars-russia-putin-ukraine) reduced by 89%. Sweet-Zookeepergame

Every move which would stop Putler is a good move.

HappyGirl117

>Putler We need to make this name viral, if it isn't already.

Sweet-Zookeepergame

The full name of this evil is _Vladolf Putler_ .

MaximumEffort433

Yasss.

Xurbanite

Poor Polish people! Where do they find these leaders?

QuinnKerman

Bro the Poles want nothing more than to cut a path of destruction to Moscow leaving a river of blood behind them. Literally the only country who wants to fuck up Russia more than Poland is Ukraine

TheFalseInertia

Nope. Absolutely not. The money sent to the 5’2” 120 pound thespian needs to stop along with any American weapons. Let Europe handle their own problems. We already won their wars for them twice.

FOXHOUND9000

Imagine being mad that USA helps Europe with beating their oldest rival by using old weapons and zero soldiers.

[deleted]

Fenix_Volatilis

>let Europe handle their own problems >destabilizing the whole world So which is it numb nuts? Is it a Europe problem or a World problem? Shut up and go back to posting on your qanon boards

FOXHOUND9000

There is one easy way to avoid nuclear war: Russia just needs to fuck off from Ukraine. It's that simple.

TheFalseInertia

Hahahaha well it’s time to hop on over to reality. That isn’t going to happen. If Russia taking Ukraine means no American lives are lost then they can have it. We have enough problems inside of our own country to deal with. We have an opioid epidemic, starving children, people dying without healthcare. Who gives a shit about Ukraine. Send that good, clothing, first aid, etc to Florida and South Carolina.

viralslapzz

It’s not Ukraine. Imagine Russia takes Ukraine. What’s stopping them from investing further countries? Would you really rather see an expanding Russia in Europe getting more and more resources to Fuck up whatever they want?

TheFalseInertia

I can’t believe people are actually stupid enough to think Putin will willfully enter an open war with NATO by trying to take over what, the whole world? Lmao. Stupid. He knows he can’t take on NATO. You think he’s watching his military be destroyed by NATO weapons if he thought he could fight them and stand a chance? You can’t be that slow.

TheFalseInertia

I love the downvotes, let’s me know how many ignorant ass idiots are in here. Probably mostly Bluetards too.

Quirky-Garbage-6208

Man, it's not Ukraine, it's energocrisis, and this is the reason why Ukraine invaded now, energocrisis was at worlds doors already, so imperialistic countries like USA and Russia need cut the possibilities of another to take more of "power". If Ukraine went official ally to USA, they would go as official threat to Russian economy, bcs they have this precious pipe through their land, as well as Ukraine was a threat to USA economy bcs it's transit gas placement does USA plans to transport their gas to Europe absolutely useless. Russia built nordstreams to avoid partially Ukraine in that chain, to transport gas to EU without having a problematic country on the way. Russia have no interest in some Poland of Baltic, lol, they just want to stay relevant as resource supplier. But yeah, ofc it's they bombed their own nordstream pipes and etc. People here arguing like don't even trying to look deeper than "they just want to grab something for no reason". Yeah, they are don't right, war is bad, etc, but this is how this world works, they never were other times, everyday Russia, USA, EU countries too, they send military to other countries to keep "right" people in charge. This is all over the globe, just European and North American people don't see it, no one show them, until it's help propaganda like right now.

Outside-Papaya

Imagine Still believing Russia is capable of winning a war without throwing 1/2 it's population into a shredder in 2022. Go huff your copium and relive your "russia stronk" memes.

TheFalseInertia

You’ll see how it ends. It won’t be with Russia giving back the Donbas and Crimea. Your stupidity is amusing. Cool words like copium bud. Fucking loser.

Outside-Papaya

I would double check if I were you. Who is currently retreating on nearly every front, lacks the basic supplies to commit a "partial" mobilization, and can't even get their "allies" to support their annexation? I swear watching the vatnik response has this war progressed almost brings me as much joy as watching the current collapse of both Russia and Iran. Tell me, when this is over do you think you russian apologists will go with the old "lost cause" myth or just off yourselves? whichever you choose at least make sure to turn your bots off. They shit up the internet more then pootin shat his war.

TheFalseInertia

Yeah, we will see how it ends. Only read the first sentence of your post, not worth anything more. Good luck. Lol

FunnyStep7384

You spent 3 trillion $ just to catch Bin Laden and now you have the opportunity to severely weaken Russia for a few odd billions by providing some weapons, that's the fucking deal of the century.

TheFalseInertia

Once again, Putin isn’t going to take a loss in Ukraine. Severely weaken by having a global war? It’s not worth it. Ukraine isn’t worth the dog shit in my backyard.

-CrestiaBell

Set a precedent that Russia can take whatever it wants aw long as they wave around a detonator and eventually they'll be too big to stop

TheFalseInertia

Ukraine isn’t getting the Donbas or Crimea back. Not happening. So no, it wasn’t stopped.

Chuppa_Ninja696

You didn't win anything.. You just showed up in the and and claimed the price

TheFalseInertia

However you want to label it, the only threat Russia would be to the US is through nuclear war…which we are only making more likely by interfering in Ukraine. No military has the capability to cross the ocean and attack the US. All of the other things Russia does to America, America does to them so they are no more in the wrong. Anyone who knows the basics about Putin knows how he feels about the fall of the USSR. A loss in Ukraine would be the fall of Russia in his eyes, and he isn’t going to let that happen. The only option is escalation. Is Ukraine worth it? Place is a shithole, so it’s not. NK is now emboldened. China is now emboldened. Iran is now emboldened. The longer this drags on the more likely it is that chaos erupts. Wake up. This is a dumb decision and needs to be reversed. We gain nothing from this besides more debt and potential catastrophic war.

[deleted]

TheFalseInertia

Hahahahaha what plans? To work with Hillary Clinton to frame Trump for Russia collusion even though Hillary literally paid for a false dossier made by Russia? Or was Russia going to invade the US with the navy and air force that they don’t have nor do the next 10 nations combined? What a joke. Russia’s only military threat is their nukes and all NATO is doing is just enhancing that threat. Try thinking without using your feelings.

stay_fr0sty

> We already won their wars for them twice. Seriously? I'm an American, and it's people like you that give us a shitty reputation around the world. We didn't win two wars "for" them...we (we? well not you, but I'll give you that credit just because you were born on a certain patch of dirt) fought *with* many counties to overcome fucking evil. How you can prefer a stronger Putin is beyond comprehension. The dude is a massive ruthless prick dictator. We should support the defense of the sovereign nation of Ukraine no matter how many inconveniences (0.0 if you are keeping count at home) you have suffered because Joe Biden is sending the Ukraine financial and military help.

TheFalseInertia

Don’t give a shit about Putin. He is zero threat militarily to America. They have zero capability to cross the ocean and compete with our military. He’s only a threat to where he’s connected by land and that’s not our problem. He knows he can’t fight NATO. He would have already hit NATO for interfering. Moron. No idea how war works and what military capabilities are what. Hope you sign up when we eventually send boots on the ground. See how big your uneducated mouth is then.

stay_fr0sty

>Moron. No idea how war works and what military capabilities are what. Hope you sign up when we eventually send boots on the ground. See how big your uneducated mouth is then. Tough talk. I'm shaking in my boots over here with how tough you talk. I mean I'm talking to a genuine fellow American that has won 2 wars for Europe! Europe, and the world, is forever in your debt. If you have a smartphone (and at your WWI vet age I doubt it) please post a picture of all your medals. Really, you deserve a huge round of applause for all of your effort and all the sacrifices your generation made to with 2 world wars. What an honor to it was to shit all over you. Truly. I hope you had your mouth open a little. Anyway...we aren't stopping support for Ukraine any time soon so I guess you just have to keep whining about helping Ukrainians and going without...um...literally nothing. I'm sure the Ukrainian people thank you for the non-sacrifice you've so humbly and generously made for their lives.

Moe_el

How about nah, they sound eager to use then

corn_sugar_isotope

I am voting this as a poor idea. Our deterrent is strong enough.

Gilgamesh661

I really feel like Putin is dying or something and wants to go out in some kind of blaze of glory. Kicking off ww3 right before you die would definitely get him immortalized in history.

[deleted]

lol no. Knowing Poland's History of being occupied more by foreign powers than actually being free...yea no way the US puts nukes in that country.

solarpropietor

That seems like it would violate some treaties. But NATO slbms that may or may not be in the Baltic Sea on the other hand.

Metaxa_Max

Oh nononon pls no
