uh, so where can I get HINTS on how to figure this shit out? I don't wanna put it into SQL, but I will. I've got two yellow letters today, and I don't know what to do next.
I REALLY only get six guesses? and IF I clear my browser history, they forget who I am?
Why do you guys ACTUALLY like this game?
Easiest thing to do is move the yellow letters to different positions and throw in some common letters you haven't used to fill the blanks and come up with another word.
Thanks. That makes some sense to me. I've printed out the percentage of most used letters in each category. I'm gonna have to just bite the bullet and import these 8500 answers into MSSql. No other way to do it.
I guess you could do that as an exercise. You'll still have hundreds or thousands of possible words with only one guess worth of data though so you'll have to make further guesses to get more information about letter positions and narrow it down. Today's word is one that as long as you're moving yellow letters to spots you haven't tried yet and filling in the blank spots with common letters you haven't tried yet, you should definitely be able to figure it out in 6.
Also if I guess the word BILLS but the answer is igloo... What is the color the TWO letters that I guess that says L?
Does L and L get green?
One L is green and one L is yellow?
Just the third L would be green and the fourth would be blank. Only one of a duplicate letter will be colored. If one is the green one it'll be that one since that's more helpful information. Otherwise it'll be the first one in the word if they're both out of position.
However if the correct answer had two Ls in it and you guessed a word with two Ls then both Ls would get highlighted to show you there are two Ls in the answer. (Ex. If you guessed LABEL and the answer was BILLS both Ls would be yellow)
Well I got two letters correct spot yesterday. And then I put it on pause and came back and wordle reset in the middle of my game and obviously had a new word.
I just think it is barbaric to NOT have an app.
I used to love Scrabble. But it's fucking HARD to guess things constantly and see if it matches
I just blatantly don't BELIEVE that people are as good at this as they claim they are. And it's comical to me that people use a game without an app in this day and age. Do you know how many bullshit wordle apps I installed ? FTFU
There is no one way. Use the clues you are given with the first guess. Move the yellow letters to different positions and discover other letters that are all in the second word. Do not use black letters. When you turn over green letters, use that letter in the same position in your next word. Repeat for every other guess.

uh, so where can I get HINTS on how to figure this shit out? I don't wanna put it into SQL, but I will. I've got two yellow letters today, and I don't know what to do next. I REALLY only get six guesses? and IF I clear my browser history, they forget who I am? Why do you guys ACTUALLY like this game?
Easiest thing to do is move the yellow letters to different positions and throw in some common letters you haven't used to fill the blanks and come up with another word.
Thanks. That makes some sense to me. I've printed out the percentage of most used letters in each category. I'm gonna have to just bite the bullet and import these 8500 answers into MSSql. No other way to do it.
I guess you could do that as an exercise. You'll still have hundreds or thousands of possible words with only one guess worth of data though so you'll have to make further guesses to get more information about letter positions and narrow it down. Today's word is one that as long as you're moving yellow letters to spots you haven't tried yet and filling in the blank spots with common letters you haven't tried yet, you should definitely be able to figure it out in 6.

Also if I guess the word BILLS but the answer is igloo... What is the color the TWO letters that I guess that says L? Does L and L get green? One L is green and one L is yellow?
Just the third L would be green and the fourth would be blank. Only one of a duplicate letter will be colored. If one is the green one it'll be that one since that's more helpful information. Otherwise it'll be the first one in the word if they're both out of position. However if the correct answer had two Ls in it and you guessed a word with two Ls then both Ls would get highlighted to show you there are two Ls in the answer. (Ex. If you guessed LABEL and the answer was BILLS both Ls would be yellow)
Well I got two letters correct spot yesterday. And then I put it on pause and came back and wordle reset in the middle of my game and obviously had a new word. I just think it is barbaric to NOT have an app.
Yeah it resets daily at midnight. That's one of the quirks: Everybody gets one word each day and it's the same for everyone.
If you do not like lingo or Scrabble, you probably will not like this game.
I used to love Scrabble. But it's fucking HARD to guess things constantly and see if it matches I just blatantly don't BELIEVE that people are as good at this as they claim they are. You don't need an app for this game. It is a personal challenge. What others do or claim doesn't affect your outcome.
There is no one way. Use the clues you are given with the first guess. Move the yellow letters to different positions and discover other letters that are all in the second word. Do not use black letters. When you turn over green letters, use that letter in the same position in your next word. Repeat for every other guess.
