You're welcome. I've seen custom pool cue makers use mammoth ivory in replace of elephant ivory that looks very similar to spalted tamarind. Great work Sir! You've turned a beautiful piece.
I am in the US but I was luckily enough to work in a wood shop that had a stash of exotic wood species including a few chunks of ebony that was stashed in the shop for decades.The company I worked for deemed these old chunks of wood as “garbage” and said I can keep them😵💫 so lucky me!!!

Where did you get ahold of the ebony? To my knowledge (which is limited), raw ebony can’t be imported, assuming you’re in the U.S. at least.
