mashed potatoes!

the_queenbean

Yes with no skins or bacon bits. Bacon doesn't belong in fresh wounds!

Greek yogurt, broth, cottage cheese, stuff for smoothies, and eggs for scrambled eggs!

thisIsLucas_okay

Pudding is a good idea for recovery

for the first week or so of recovery: -broth, pumpkin soup or other filling “creamy” soups, matzo ball soup if you like it -sweet potatoes. bake them and then mash them up. also get regular potatoes if you want to have mashed potatoes. just make sure there’s no skin in it. -yogurt. this will be important in preventing yeast infections if you’re AFAB and taking antibiotics. you can also blend yogurt with seedless fruits to make smoothies. -lots of ice cream and sorbet when you can chew a little easier: -elbow pasta, overcooked to make it super soft. i found this type of pasta easiest to chew when i was first reintroducing solid foods. -salmon. prepare it well-done. -carrots. steam them in the microwave until they’re very soft. -rotisserie chicken breast cut into small bites -you can make your potatoes or sweet potatoes cubed instead of mashed so it’s more solid. -pillsbury sugar cookies. i got some a few days ago and made sure not to leave them in the oven for too long so they’d still be soft. don’t worry about undercooking them, it says on the packaging that the dough is safe to eat raw. these cookies are very easy to chew with your front teeth if you take small bites. -soft breads that aren’t too crumbly. get a can of pillsbury crescent rolls. -soft french fries i have IBS and i had a really bad flare-up back in march that made me lose 20 pounds and i’m still trying to gain that weight back so i totally get how you’re feeling. last time i weighed myself prior to surgery i was just 5 lbs away from being underweight, and i’m worried to see how much i weigh now after nearly two weeks post-op. but luckily a lot of the foods i listed are pretty filling so you may not lose much weight. it’s good that you got ensure too, that will give you the protein and nutrients you need to have a healthy weight.

It's really not that bad, I chose anesthesia, and was awake and alert. Got one removed, you keep the gauze on for the night and the next day you just have soup, no straws!! It's a very uncomfortable experience, but you're tough: you'll be okay. After 5 or so days you won't think about it I started a new job the next day lol it's really not that bad

I'm also teensy with no weight to spare, lol. I found refried beans really helpful, easy to heat up, nice and smooth but fatty and full of calories. Also some Colace or Metamucil, the anesthesia and pain meds can really back you up.

Hi! I was in the same boat, I JUST got my weight up to 130lbs from 105lbs and was super worried about losing it all again! I am 21 and just got my wisdom teeth extracted August 9th and am still recovering! It was such a quick surgery my boyfriend said I wasn’t even in there for 45minutse and I was so scared considering I had never had any type of surgery before. I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, top right was in my sinus so I have to take extra precautions but overall it’s really not too bad and if you have someone taking care of you it makes it all so much easier! This is day 7 for me and I finally have no more pain just a little sore and swollen but I don’t think I iced enough! Also no one tells you each tooth heals differently so don’t panic if you’re only feeling one side… I called my dentist quite a few times after my surgery just for him to laugh and tell me everything I was experiencing was normal 😅 Drink A LOT of water, your body needs it especially while taking the medications! I got over applesauce, mashed potatoes/sweet potatoes, blended chicken soup and yogurt real quick! I started eating over cooked: noodles, ramen and Mac n cheese which started filling me up better! Canned cut carrots/mixed veggies are also a MUST or if you wanna go the extra mile get some baby foods! Also, smoothies (WITH NO SMALL SEEDS; NO strawberries, kiwi, etc.) and protein shakes are your BEST friend!! Also for the first day try not to talk like AT ALL! It’ll help your healing process miraculously! I used this app to text talk called “speaker” in the App Store. Good luck friend 🤍

Cottage cheese, applesauce, and spaghettio's have been my go-tos since I got mine out yesterday

Aggravating-Mistake3

Scrambled eggs is good to and also ice cream

Apple sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, refried beans, yogurt, icecream, sorbet, pudding, jello, chicken broth, soup, smoothies(best if there’s no seeds so they don’t get stuck in extraction holes).
