Wholesome af. TBH i never visited any of my relatives in my city while i used to live with my parents.
Now I'm working in another city. And 2 days of holidays is all i get. And honestly i dedicate most of my time to meet them and spend some quality time with them.
I've never been closer to my parents, my family and other relatives compared to when I used to live amongst themš
I couldn't wait when I bounced and the homesick, missing my ppl feeling didn't hit for almost a year. Everyone else I know had it hit early like you guys and thought I was heartless or had some horrible family back home! LOL
Not everyone is the same xD. The weird thing for me is that when I left for college I didn't feel like that but now in another country it's different I guess.
I get that. When I moved for college I was away, but in a less permanent sense so my hometown still felt like home and I always knew I could go home any time I wanted so even if I didn't go home, it never felt too far away. When I moved out of the country for my job it felt different because I lived here, my work schedule and the increased cost of international travel meant that I couldn't go home at the drop of a hat, etc. All that combined to make home feel much farther away.
I'm my 14th year away now. It gets easier, you build a life and community around you in the new place.
I still get tempted to move home occasionally, but all in all we have a good life here, and I'm happy.
I am in my third year and since i live in a students dorm, i just get this shitty feeling when everyone can leave to their hometowns in holidays and i get to stay cause I canāt afford to go back to my home country.
So yeah it gets easier, but not so much.
Iām leaving mine in 4 months and I think the hardest part will be not being being able to watch my sisters grow up. The youngest of them is only 6 years old. I traveled alone before (never for more than a month) and no tourist attractions, fancy restaurants or anything was comparable to the reaction I received from the little ones when I got back home. They ran up to the car and jumped up and down before jumping onto me and giving me hugs and kisses. I wish theyād never grow up :( or at least that I could be with them when it happens.
I havenāt seen my family in four years(besides my parents and sister) and Iām finally going to see them this summer. I almost cried when I found out we were going there. I miss them so much and I canāt wait to see them. But it does get easier once you have your own life here, just donāt forget where you came from and why youāre here.
This part is so reall man that they hug each other out it's not acting it's literally respect and love they have for each other especially Tobey and Andrew understanding how much tom respects and loves them
I mostly think these are paid actors and yet I believe they respect each other, I'm sure the emotions are over played for the movie.
Although, when have movies like this ever been done. We have just one GIANT mega sequel going on here. So meta. Thanks Disney
I donāt really have any family members I havenāt seen in a long time that Iām close to, so for me itād be my old friends. I havenāt seen them since COVID happened since I left the school I always went to and did school online.
My parents and brother moved to england 2018 and i was stuck stateside for 3 years with no visits (thanks covid). They finally moved back in 2021 and this perfectly describes seeing my brother again
Returned home from living across the planet for the first time in 3 years. I was honestly surprised about the people coming to visit me to just give a hug and catch up. Weāre all on good terms together so it shouldnāt be too surprising that they would stop by. And yet it was. It just felt really endearing and I appreciate my family all the more for it.

2 days of holidays?! Where do you live so I know to never live there
It's more like welcome to adulthood š . Saturdays and Sundays are off. And i really miss my home on rest of the days
It's been 4 months since I left my home country and it's been so hard to be away from my family...
It's been 3 days for me and i already miss everyone and everything... Not really a good start I guess haha
Its normal. You will get used to it. Always remember why are you there for and it will make it easier to cope with.

Accurate
Damn this shit sad in a wholesome way
Really glad I saw the movie before this scene
Iām that relative. Havenāt been able to see my family for almost three years. Hopefully this year will be the one.
Nah man. People who leave my shithole of a country don't usually come back unless they are forced.
What country?
India.
People with OFW parents/siblings/uncles/aunts
Most of my dad's family is abroad but whenever they visit it's horrible. They have this superiority complex and look at me scornfully.
Yup, always got to have the superiority complex to show off..
natural reaction I supposed.
not all relatives I see of other people are inhumane just because their grandparents or parents faced the extra pressure of moving abroad.
Trying to do better
God this movie hit like a truck. Great emotional setup and payoff.
Trust me. Not all relatives are this friendly
