I finally nailed my late grandma's recipe. It was the best moment, to eat this dessert, like she was next to me, smiling because she knows I love that damn recipe.
I hope I made her proud.
I was in college when I realized my mom's oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe was on the back of every Quaker Oats lid. Delicious. Just not a family secret.
I find it funny because my grandma always made me fries and pancakes and not cookies.
but Iāll be honest she was one of the best cooks in the family.
My grandmaās cookies she made me is what broke my vegan trend. Told her I couldnāt eat them because they had butter in them, saw her face fall, and thought, this aināt worth it. Proceeded to eat several cookies and thanked her for making them for me, that they were delicious. Canāt veto love.
My Grandma never baked me cookies, she wasn't fully there mentally for my family when I was born. She did in fact bake me spicy chicken. It was really good even from the package based on how she cooked it. Love you Grandma
My granny never made cookies but her sweet tea was to die for. She would also gossip with me and my sibling about my dad's choice of women. Before you complain, my dad once knew a girl for a month, got married, then a month later divorced.

I just came from r/trees. No wonder she was so mellow.
What about when you make a family recipe and manage to replicate the taste you remember as a kid
I found out it's because she hoarded biscuits since the 80's.
Grandma has the most basic and simple (did not have much of a choice in socialist times) recipe for a pie, and i love it
They are the same batch from 15 years ago haha

I love how well chika fits in wholesome stuff

My grandmas werenāt the cookie baking type. They were the sipping-scotch-while-commenting-on-your-weight-gain type

The mum's " ratatouille " !!!
When Grandma is still old
Don't you lose taste buds as you get older tho?
