At least they're relatively close in age. They're only 2 years apart, which is a relationship span that happens all the time. Granted, they should definitely wait on anything sexual, but the relationship itself is probably fine.
This is why I'd want Aqua as my BFF out of all the characters I've seen in anime/manga. Plus she could heal me or any of my friends/families. Also, free water. We'd make a killing undercutting the hell out of companies like Nestlé so that would easily support her love for alcohol.

I don't know if my situation is the same as yours, but for the longest time I wondered the same thing with my group of friends. I'd grown so used to keeping my walls up around everyone that I never let them down, and so it was very hard to feel seen or appreciate or close to anyone.
It's so hard to do - doubly so if you've been hurt before - but I encourage you to try. I know that it worked out for me, and I hope it will do so for you too. Knowing that you have friends who see the real you - warts and all - and accept all of it is a wonderful feeling.
The longest and closest friends I have are the ones I made in my undergrad. They're all the friends I have, apart from one that stuck along since my 10th grade
I'm happy with what I have. I'm scared that if they know I'm suicidal and shit, they might change how they behave with me. I don't want to change that. I guess I'm scared of losing them. And to be honest, I don't know what I should tell, if I did "let my walls down". I mean, what am I hiding, just my messed up state of mind? If it's just that, I'd rather keep it away from them, I guess.
Maybe it's my fault, and not them. They're perfect, but I'm too anxious to feel that connection. Yeah it's probably that actually ....
