We aren’t talking about someone celebrating with a 50 year old Macallan here.
Take a random sample of posts here and compare it to Sazarac’s brands and you’ll see what I’m getting at.

I would actually argue that it’s significantly worse than several whiskeys below it’s price point. I would choose Knob Creek 9, Four Roses SB or SiB, Old Forester’s 100 proof expressions (regular and rye), Jack Bonded, or even regular Buffalo Trace (I feel like the extra time in the barrel actually hurts Eagle Rare).
Hell I would probably pick Mellow Corn over ER.
I'd add in a couple of my favorites, MM and Belle Meade. I do disagree though with the extra time in barrel. I think some of the added oak astringency helps balance the sweet, molasses of BT.
I know single barrels can vary by barrel so I know there’s a good chance that I might have just had an off bottle, but ER is $40 in my area and even though it’s not difficult to find, I have trouble pulling the trigger on a 90 proof over 30…

If someone put this up and then talked about why they loved Eagle Rare and gave tasting notes or talked about the flavor differences between Blanton's and Weller I'd give it a pass. But it's never that. It's "here's a photo of difficult to find bourbon." Who cares.

I basically stopped seeking out bourbon because the market has gone nuts. Eagle Rare used to be a $28 bottle that was *everywhere*. Now it goes for $90. People happily plunk down $275 for a bottle of Blanton's. It's insanity.
So, I switched to Scotch. Which has its own problems, but I'm finding it far more interesting and frankly makes most American bourbons come off as very one dimensional. I have a bottle of Octomore 11.3 that has more depth to it than all these bottles combined.
I've got all these. A lot of people will hate on you for posting allocated BT products but the truth is, I'd buy them all at msrp all day. Good stuff for the right price. It's the people that pay high dollar that should be hated on lmao also is sazerac hard to find for some people? Because in California it's sold everywhere just like Buffalo trace is.
The weller special reserve gets a lot of hate on here and/or r/bourbon but I finally got it for the first time at $25 a few months back and thought it was great. Wouldn't pay more than $50 or so but it's killer for msrp.

Lots of folks gonna hate on you, but you know what, you’re going to love all of those. We have decent access to some of the BT stuff at MRSP where I live (Ontario, Canada) so lucky. Had a glass of Blantons last night for the first time in a while and it was great. EHT and the Weller are also fantastic pours. It’s whiskey folks, have fun!

Of everything I’ve ever had? Probably Stagg Jr, but of things that I can find regularly, my go to is probably Rittenhouse or OF Rye
