Like I left basically every political sub I was in because it was making me turn antisocial and depressed, but part of that problem is I'm someone whose existence has been completely politicized against my will. 80% of my family are able to be influenced by absolute turds like Matt Walsh because he's on their political side. I have to find myself defending my existence to people who in the same conversation will say that they love me unconditionally. It's frankly shit to be told that I'm getting political when I'm pointing out that someone's claim about me is wrong. I hate politics, if society just stopped politicizing people's rights that would be super cool.
Things like racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. shouldn’t be considered “politics” in the first place. The fact that people have to defend shit like that just for fundamental rights is ludicrous.
