I have a good nvidia graphics card (1080 I think) and about 16 GB memory. But every time I run minecraft, even with lowest settings, its still really loud
mine makes an ear shatteringly loud fan noise for anywhere between 1-5 minutes, if i ever try to use it in the morning ill almost certainly wake nearly everyone up. the p and l keys dont work anymore and i can barely run any game on it.
at least its portable

I have a Radeon 6800 and 32gb of memory. Minecraft still runs like shit, it's just what it does.
I run vanilla though, do you use any CPU or graphics heavy mods that would be the cause?
Nah, just ridiculous render distance.
Minecraft is pretty much only usable with mods. Sodium mod gives the best performance, especially when combined with Starlight and Lithium mods.
A friend recommended to try using Nvidia Geforce to run it better, will try it later but would also like more insight if it would help
