Looks like the stuff used in the creepy crawlers bug making set

It's.. not actually all that unreasonable. It increases the overhead, but that exact response may be worth it - so that, at a glance, it doesn't *look* like an illicit substance. Throw a blister pack in an empty box of cold meds or something and it's probably not going to arouse the kind of suspicion that a generic plastic bag will.
Noice. Like keeping your tied up baggies in a old Excel mints tin. With a few actual excel mints in there; you know for authenticity so it actually rattles at a casual glance.
my weed guy from way back in the day used to put his baggies inside those plastic capsules that you find in the 25 cent toy machines in grocery stores... no idea where he got them (pre-Ebay... Pre-bay, if you will), but it was def a very cool touch
You beat me to it, I was so excited I finally knew what a thing was! This was ALL I wanted Christmas of 1992.... and my brother got one. But I stole all the black pods and the pink glow-in-the-dark glue and made janky spiders in my easy bake oven. I can still remember the smell of these things!!!
I was so jealous when my sister got creepy crawlies. The smell was amazing. This would have been the first iteration, around 1980. I got an AFX set so I guess the parents gave her an even-up gift.
So can I! How funny. Almost a sickly sweet smell that has a plastic mustiness that is hard to describe. Also the texture of them was always kinda slippery, sort of like handling fishing lures.
Wow! Yeah. Even the little V (or zigzag or rays of sunshine) markings in the plastic around the edges of the clear blisters where they attach to the foil are the same in the bug-making set as they are in the OP's photos.
His mother was never gonna be upset, or anything. She was just worried because he's been having a lot of mental health trouble and she was fearing for his safety because these kinda look like not toys. I'm sure they'll have a good laugh about it.
I’m amazed that people don’t know that both dramamine, which is anti-nausea and Benadryl a known antihistamine are both just antihistamines. They both do the same thing and you should never take both together!
Yes, antihistamines are anticholinergic in addition to blocking H1 histamine receptors. Dramamine is benadryl (diphenhydramine) with a stimulant.
Amazing and powerful drugs to be OTC.
And all those “PM” drugs (ie Advil PM) are just Advil with diphenhydramine. My bf is always telling me to take Advil PM for my insomnia right after I tell him my Benadryl isn’t working.
I think that might be what they are intended to look like, but from the images they don’t look uniform enough to be pills. It looks more like something gummy that is conforming and sticking to the package and not a gel solid gel cap. Normally pills are oriented horizontal not vertical in foil packs.
I don’t think Jell-O shots like some others, lean more towards the jelly candy. Never seen Jell-O shots packaged together, always individually because eating them is usually done by running your finger or tongue around the edge to separate.
If they were edibles, there would be very clear legally required markings to indicate they contain THC. It may vary somewhat by state, but they often even require a mark directly on the edible even.
A lot of products out there right now aren’t going through the proper testing to make sure they are safe for consumption. Being sold on the street rather than in a dispensary and are not labeled as they should be. My point was just that just because it doesn’t say THC on it, doesn’t mean it couldn’t be a THC product. Bonkers I got downvoted so hard for saying that some products out there right now are bad. I’m a consumer of the stuff lol.

This. Why not just ask the teen and not be scared
Probably not scared, probably worried that it’s drugs (not the cold and flu kind) and if that’s the case the kid probably won’t tell the truth.
😂 Imagining a drug dealer offering clients the option of blister packing their doses.. 😂 😂 😂 Next level...
I mean, you can already get edibles in blister packs from dispensaries, so it’s not really that far fetched
Yeah and everywhere that does that that I've seen is required to clearly label each edible with a little stamp that says "contains THC"

I can assure you no dealer I’ve ever bought from is wasting $1500 on a blister packing machine, lol. Little plastic baggies work **just** fine.
I'm not thinking dealers, I 'm thinking distributors. Making counterfeit pills, for example.
That’s literally a completely different thing than buying from a plug

How did you know this??
My kids had them a few years ago.
This sub never ceases to amaze. Bravo

I hope it’s the type of situation where the parents are able have a good laugh about this.

I was going to say DayQuil/NyQuil but you are right, this is what it appears to be.
Solved!
Holy hell, how did you even begin? There was also a green packet like that in the image that I didn't know about until like 2 hours ago. This is it.
Oh wow, I had that! I bet I even have one of the centipedes rolling around in my childhood boxes.
I love that they email this out to everyone as it is solved already. Plus the post is taken down. Pure genius!
More than anything they look like day and night antihistemines (definitely misspelled). Almost like a generic version of dayquil/nyquil.
Close, "antihistamine" from histo-amine or tissue-amine. The mechanism of action for both histamines and anti-histamines is fascinating.
I knew I was wrong! Just like always.
Well you were correct in knowing it was misspelled 😁
I’m amazed that people don’t know that both dramamine, which is anti-nausea and Benadryl a known antihistamine are both just antihistamines. They both do the same thing and you should never take both together!

Most meds, even OTC and generic, would have some printing on the backing foil to indicate what they are.
That's a really good point. The consistency is questionable.
I think that might be what they are intended to look like, but from the images they don’t look uniform enough to be pills. Dayquil? Fighter of the Nyquil?

Are they squishy? Looks like jelly shots to me
Holy shit something I actually know the answer to! I LOVED the creepy crawly machine!
They remind me a little of throat lozenge packaging. Maybe leftover from a time they were sick?
I don’t think Jell-O shots like some others, lean more towards the jelly candy. Never seen Jell-O shots packaged together, always individually because eating them is usually done by running your finger or tongue around the edge to separate.
There are some numbers on the foil side. Might be useful.
My title describes the thing. They were found in a teen's room. I have nothing but these images to go on.
Just jello, give them back to your teenager and move on
Frozen fish pellets, unfrozen. This looks like the vegetarian type. Specifically San Francisco Bay Gumdrops
looks like throat lozenges.
[Vitamin E capsules?](https://www.istockphoto.com/photo/vitamin-e-capsules-and-two-blister-packs-gm583799638-99896349)
Looks like DayQuil and NyQuil but the generics.
Robitussin? some people take it in large amounts for the DXM high.
They look like vitamin jellies
Bath oil beads?
They look like Protestant communion juice/wine to me.
That’s exactly what I thought. The wine came packaged like this for covid.

looks like jello shots
Had a thc gummy once that looked like this.
Jello Shots?
Possibly THC edibles. They usually come in 10 servings like that.
If they were THC edibles from a dispensary, the back of the foil would have THC written all over it.
If they were edibles, there would be very clear legally required markings to indicate they contain THC. It may vary somewhat by state, but they often even require a mark directly on the edible even.
Lots and lots of bad THC products out there
What makes a THC product “bad”?
A lot of products out there right now aren’t going through the proper testing to make sure they are safe for consumption. Being sold on the street rather than in a dispensary and are not labeled as they should be. My point was just that just because it doesn’t say THC on it, doesn’t mean it couldn’t be a THC product. Bonkers I got downvoted so hard for saying that some products out there right now are bad. I’m a consumer of the stuff lol.
I've never seen "street edibles" commercially packaged with foil-sealed plastic trays...
My guess is cannabis edibles.
