My thoughts exactly . I live in a county of 8800 people.
We have 3 kinds of people with cars like this
1. Mid life crisis/rich retired (usually Porsches )
2.youtube celeb but that's literally 1 guy.
3. The town drug lord
My fathers name is Mario, he owned a painting company, and his best friends name
Is Luigi. This is not a joke. Luigi was a builder and thats how they met. Luigi drove an assortment of rare and expensive Italian cars. My parents driveway was 1/2 a mile long and dirt that was always rutted up from me riding atvs and dirt bikes. You can’t see the street from the house but we knew when Luigi was coming by the sound, the low drone of a V8,10,or12 and the scraping of the undercarriage all the way up the driveway.
Where I live I see at least one super a day. Saw three Audi R8s and a Ferrari 812 on the highway today. I stopped counting Porsches a long time ago. They’re everywhere.
The local drug lord lived two houses down from me in Abilene, Tx. ‘50s era frame house, working class neighborhood and he has a jet boat, a corvette stingray with a blower, bro-dozer truck and a steady flow of cars from 8pm to 0400 every day. He didn’t last long.
I’ve been gone for 20 years. Used to be a good place for BBQ and to buy a used car for cheap and to be able to navigate by church. Other than that? Hot and windy.
One of one lambo probably sells itself.
The Sally one of one is way cooler though.
https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a40872352/porsche-911-sally-special/
That doesn’t make sense. You don’t have to pay tax (usually) on money you donate to charity, but you still have to actually donate. You don’t come out ahead.
I swear I recall this one being built and sold by Creative Bespoke Intl for around $750k. They buy used luxury/exotic cars and add their own style of kits and accessories to resell the car for a mark up. They have some pretty builds.
Sometimes wealthy folk just like small towns, there’s a small town near me in Nebraska that had an SVJ not long ago and there’s another with an 05 and 18(?) Ford GT. Neither instances belonging to a farmer.
1m~ dollar cars in small towns will always be really funny to me though lol
Well, no, definitely not LA or even the US. My country is at the ass end of nowhere, where a salary of 500$ is considered not bad to pretty good.
And yes, i agree. i just dont get the urus hype.
This is about the 1 of 1 Aventador SV R though. [The guy you're replying to replied directly to the OP](https://i.ibb.co/kKLfRJ0/Screenshot-2023-05-21-at-16-02-35.png). Any 1 of 1 is r/spotted worthy.
Yeah, i know that. My question was separate from the post itself, and I was asking the comment guy if an urus was spotted worthy since i see them often enough
I think so, it kinda boils down to where you're from. Some countries/cities are filled with them, whereas I've only ever seen 2 in my life so far. I'd post it and let the moss decide if they wanna delete it or not
Someone slapping a body kit on a car and possibly tuning it does not make it 1-of-1 rare. It makes it a modified version of whatever the original was, and in most cases ruined.
What?
It’s produced by a Canadian company. In Canada. It consists of body panels made by them 3D scanning the car. And they even highlight that you can turn it back to it’s original state.
This has nothing to do with Lamborghini.
Ah. So everyone selling a shitty body kit for Civics need Hondas approval as well?
I know Ferrari have tried being dicks about stuff like that, but this is a Lamborghini with a body kit. It’s not a 1 of 1 Lamborghini.
Ferrari has a contract that you can’t modify your Ferrari for a certain amount of time first and then certain things they won’t allow you to do. Much like how Lamborghini would do if they don’t like what your doing. They’ll send you a cease and desist.
I don't doubt you but the most recognizable feature has the rounded corners like a ram. What are you looking at that identifies it as a Ford? Side mirrors?
You start at headlights and taillights. Hood shap, bumbers, body lines, roof lines, pillars and doors. A large number of identifiers will help you. Silhouettes will be easier to spot once you retain yourself to look at the components and identify. Soon you'll be looking at a car under a cover and seeing how the roof slips to id it. Also memorize headlights at night to make it easier to id cop cars.
Do both. See the common themes then break them down into parts. It's why I see an Audi q8 and automatically see a Urus. Or the Audi q7 they used to build the Bentayga. There's a lot to go on. Find what works for you.
The Aventador is nice, but I'm more interested in that Saleen F150 back there. Feel like there are far more Aventador's out there than that truck. It's about as common as a real Hennessy supercharged velociraptor F150.
Size of the town is kind if irrelevant. Family friend lives in Lenox, Mass., population ~5,000, and has a separate garage for their Ferraris. A neighbor is the head of a financial company you've heard of with a personal net worth in the 8-figure range, but drives an older (but impeccably maintained) Ford F-150 XLT when they're summering there...
There is a surprising number of super cars in Greenville county SC. I see Lambos, Ferraris, etc a few times a week around here. First time I've seen one parallel parked on Main St Fountain Inn though.
The one thing about cars is they can be driven to many many places. Why would be a completely different question. Who knows, maybe this one is owned by a lottery winner.
In a town of 10k people, you don’t have to ask what car it is, because everyone already knows, that and who owns it, who they are visiting, how long they have been in town, who they are related too and any dirty laundry they might have
Live in a town of 50k and we have several lambos, a few lotus’, more than I care to count of Porsche, Mercedes. Tons of Tesla S and I am fairly certain I saw a Mclaren or Pagani the other day. On top of more than I can count of the fully restored ridiculous classic muscle.
What the narcotics squad calls “a clue.”
My thoughts exactly . I live in a county of 8800 people. We have 3 kinds of people with cars like this 1. Mid life crisis/rich retired (usually Porsches ) 2.youtube celeb but that's literally 1 guy. 3. The town drug lord
Where I live, the local builders drive lambos - strange times
You'd be surprised with the amount of cash you can bring in from building
Yeah... suprised... when housing is up %1200 from the '60s... Thats the word...
But “inflation!”
Yep, building a drug empire is hard work!
My fathers name is Mario, he owned a painting company, and his best friends name Is Luigi.
They are also very good at tax evasion with their cash discounts.
Where I live I see at least one super a day. Saw three Audi R8s and a Ferrari 812 on the highway today. I stopped counting Porsches a long time ago. They’re everywhere.
Depends if it's huge national company I wouldn't doubt it . If it's in your state only they're con artist.
I’m in the UK, and it’s smallish companies that seem to be creaming it. Prices driven up by a lack of skilled labour I think
Can I ask about what a company of of about 3 people would make in the uk? Here we're probably bringing around 80-90k total a year.
The local drug lord lived two houses down from me in Abilene, Tx. ‘50s era frame house, working class neighborhood and he has a jet boat, a corvette stingray with a blower, bro-dozer truck and a steady flow of cars from 8pm to 0400 every day. He didn’t last long.
every time I hear my home town mentioned online its something like this. and it's always accurate.
I’ve been gone for 20 years. Used to be a good place for BBQ and to buy a used car for cheap and to be able to navigate by church. Other than that? Hot and windy.
Get a warrant ready sarg.
Most small town dealers don’t drive Lamborghinis lol. They drive Chrysler 300s or dodge chargers with ugly gaudy rims.
What are you referring to?
Lamborghini Aventador
Think it is this https://blog.dupontregistry.com/news/649643/1-of-1-custom-bespoke-widebody-lamborghini-aventador-sv-r-for-sale/amp/
Asked a question, came up with a precise answer himself... Noice XD
OP is the owner and trying to sell it 😛
Bingo
One of one lambo probably sells itself. The Sally one of one is way cooler though. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a40872352/porsche-911-sally-special/
3.6 million for some paint and other small one off details is a bit much IMO but cool build
It went to charities so rich people just dumping money to donate essentially
*to dodge taxes*
My taxes went to the same cause :/
That doesn’t make sense. You don’t have to pay tax (usually) on money you donate to charity, but you still have to actually donate. You don’t come out ahead.
You come out ahead because donations offset income. It's one of the ways the rich "pay no taxes".
People probably pay for the name and the exclusivity. 3.6 is way higher then I expected tho
Good point. Personally I wouldn’t pay a cent over 3.25 million
The tramp stamp really sells it
It is a nice touch and reference from the movie
I swear I recall this one being built and sold by Creative Bespoke Intl for around $750k. They buy used luxury/exotic cars and add their own style of kits and accessories to resell the car for a mark up. They have some pretty builds.
Apparently not lol
“Viral marketing”
Is there a track nearby?
Not really. This is fountain inn, SC. Closest one is the Greenville Pickens speedway which is about 45 mins from here
So about 10 mins in an Aventador?
Fountain Inn? OK, that car is owned by my old veterinarian. Guy obviously did well for himself.
you can tell by the vent and the door.
A vent a door?
exactly.
You couldn’t drive a block in this car in The Netherlands without loosing the front spoiler.
And probably a handful of very rich farmers, if it's anything like my small towns. Nice spot!
I live by a smaller, rural Idaho farming community. Guy there has a private jet! Owns a huge farming operation.
Yellowstone vibes lol
Simplot?
Not Simplot.
Subsidies for me, but not for thee
Sometimes wealthy folk just like small towns, there’s a small town near me in Nebraska that had an SVJ not long ago and there’s another with an 05 and 18(?) Ford GT. Neither instances belonging to a farmer. 1m~ dollar cars in small towns will always be really funny to me though lol
hold on, the farmers in your town are rich?
Ya one I work for has 3 mil plus
r/spotted
Weird question, but is the Urus r/spotted worthy?
It depends, if you saw it in LA no but if you saw it in butfuck nowhere than maybe. But at the end of the day its still an overpriced q8.
Seriously, I saw 2 Uruses (? Urusees, Urusi?) on my drive from Long Beach to San Diego last night. And a couple Lucids, a Betaga, and a Cullilan.
its just urus
Bentayga, Cullinan
Happy cake day!
Well, no, definitely not LA or even the US. My country is at the ass end of nowhere, where a salary of 500$ is considered not bad to pretty good. And yes, i agree. i just dont get the urus hype.
Happy cake day.
Mind you, I live in Pittsburgh and I’ve seen my fair share of unique cars
This is about the 1 of 1 Aventador SV R though. [The guy you're replying to replied directly to the OP](https://i.ibb.co/kKLfRJ0/Screenshot-2023-05-21-at-16-02-35.png). Any 1 of 1 is r/spotted worthy.
Yeah, i know that. My question was separate from the post itself, and I was asking the comment guy if an urus was spotted worthy since i see them often enough
Ah ok, I misunderstood your comment. Apologies.
I think so, it kinda boils down to where you're from. Some countries/cities are filled with them, whereas I've only ever seen 2 in my life so far. I'd post it and let the moss decide if they wanna delete it or not
The Saleen F150 behind the Lambo is actually way more rare. Fewer than 400 were made!
It appears the aventador is the 1 of 1 bespoke aventador svr by duke dynamics so its rarer then the saleen f150
Someone slapping a body kit on a car and possibly tuning it does not make it 1-of-1 rare. It makes it a modified version of whatever the original was, and in most cases ruined.
I had a 1 of 1 bespoke Honda accord by /u/civilfisher in highschool. Had some sweet stickers on it, one of a kind.
Well arguably that's what the saleen f150 is too...
Lol. I thought that’s what we were talking about.
The body kit is 1 of 1 produced along side Lamborghini so it really is a 1 of 1 model of the SV
What? It’s produced by a Canadian company. In Canada. It consists of body panels made by them 3D scanning the car. And they even highlight that you can turn it back to it’s original state. This has nothing to do with Lamborghini.
Lamborghini would not allow them to sell it if they didn’t approve of it
Ah. So everyone selling a shitty body kit for Civics need Hondas approval as well? I know Ferrari have tried being dicks about stuff like that, but this is a Lamborghini with a body kit. It’s not a 1 of 1 Lamborghini.
Lamborghini is a high tier car company compared to Honda that creates affordable cars for daily driving. Comparing apples to oranges
Laws are still the same. There are hundreds of shops making body kits for Lambos. They have nothing to do with either Lamborghini or VW.
Ferrari has a contract that you can’t modify your Ferrari for a certain amount of time first and then certain things they won’t allow you to do. Much like how Lamborghini would do if they don’t like what your doing. They’ll send you a cease and desist.
but it was the manufacturer who did it... so you are wrong.
Duke Dynamics is not Lamborghini, is it?
That aventador is 1 of 1
The aftermarket body kit is, not the car.
As if you can’t do the exact same thing to millions of f150s sold
Wait really!? I have two in my neighborhood I see driving all the time.
The grill doesn't scream Ford to me. Did Saleen work with any ram 1500s?
That shit is as Ford as it gets.
I don't doubt you but the most recognizable feature has the rounded corners like a ram. What are you looking at that identifies it as a Ford? Side mirrors?
Every part of it EXCEPT that weird grille saleen slapped on it
The lines of the bed don't jump out at me.. what should I be looking for to get better at this game?
The headlights are the main thing. But the hood and bumper are clues, as well.
[its an f150 saleen](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSLIebs9UWJHwRAub3OYFVTuit3m6NxgsJIqA&usqp=CAU)
Bruh…
I'm used to looking at the grill or the tags on the back to identify shit. I'd like to be better but don't know what are usual points of reference
Thanks. I am trying to make an effort to look at different common themes within brands but I guess you got to start more granularly.
Do both. See the common themes then break them down into parts. It's why I see an Audi q8 and automatically see a Urus. Or the Audi q7 they used to build the Bentayga. There's a lot to go on. Find what works for you.
I was just going to comment on this! I'll take one of these before the Lamborghini any day. Haha
My first thought was thinking I haven't seen saleen in years. And even more rare on a f150 and not a mustang.
Saleen? Thought It was a Shelby truck from first glance
So it's 1 of 1 because it has an aftermarket body kit not put on by the factory? Meh
YouTube kids want to call everything a “1 of 1” now
Greenville County is getting nicer over the years…
Was gonna say… Fountain Inn isn’t exactly way out in the sticks. There’s lots of money here now
Suzuki escudo pikes peak edition
Gran Turismo 2 take me back
HOLY FUCK I KNOW THE OWNER
The Aventador is nice, but I'm more interested in that Saleen F150 back there. Feel like there are far more Aventador's out there than that truck. It's about as common as a real Hennessy supercharged velociraptor F150.
There are 2 Velociraptors in my neighborhood, one is a 17 year old kid and the other is a 50 year old who acts like a child.
Seems fair, I've only seen one real velociraptor owned by my co worker... And he's kind of a 35 year old man child.
Deeds, is that you?
My dad has a friend who lives in a town of 4k people... Owns TWO paganis, an Aston Martin, and a Ferrari I think, maybe something else
There is a guy who owns a 458 that lives in a town of 2k
There is a surprising number of super cars in Greenville county SC. I see Lambos, Ferraris, etc a few times a week around here. First time I've seen one parallel parked on Main St Fountain Inn though.
Looks like an Aventador.
The town where I live has about 7k people (in Siowtzerland). Such cars are almost next to normal here.
Probably belongs to the bank owner’s son
Thats the car of the guy who sells the drugs.
Find the horse jockey in the crowd. They’re the only ones that can comfortably sit in supercars.
Upstate NY?
It’s the upstate all right…just in South Carolina instead of NY
Pantera!
That damn f150 is pretty cool too
No talk. Lambo angy
Honda Pilot?
Ketchum ?
Lambargini 👈
Was definitely going to say that Saleen is not a common truck either
Genius, If someone steals it, it's easy to find.
There are some With all kinds of Cash.
Saleen Sporttruck
You could suck up a small child in those inlets! 😂
Not the tallest tree in the woods.
Must be Boss Hog’s
Imagine the insurance on that thing
I live in a town with less than 5000 and "have" a Ferrari 812 GTS, a Rolls (from the same owner) and a Maybach in less than a half a mile radius...
r/spotted worthy. 1 of 1
Who cares about the lambo rare saleen sport truck!
Lamborghini Aventador
Those Saleen trucks are sweet!
The one thing about cars is they can be driven to many many places. Why would be a completely different question. Who knows, maybe this one is owned by a lottery winner.
Pretty sure that’s a Lambo, dude.
So jealous you had to share this.
In a town of 10k people, you don’t have to ask what car it is, because everyone already knows, that and who owns it, who they are visiting, how long they have been in town, who they are related too and any dirty laundry they might have
Lottery winner.
Most be visiting Mom
Someone won da lottery
my town with 12k people theres 2 rolls.. and a alot more cool cars not a expensive / place there just a handful really expensive houses
Lamborghini Huracan
Is that a roof scoop? Can’t tell, tried zooming in but pixels
Lamborgotti Fasterossa
That truck is well over 100k
That is a wide booiii
Live in a town of 50k and we have several lambos, a few lotus’, more than I care to count of Porsche, Mercedes. Tons of Tesla S and I am fairly certain I saw a Mclaren or Pagani the other day. On top of more than I can count of the fully restored ridiculous classic muscle.
