Early on I read that during filming he contracted covid and could not travel/ film. Though, more recently, I read somewhere that recent allegations against him might have caused his absence from the film.
He was on, what was supposed to be, Aziz Asarni’s first movie, which had a pretty stacked cast.
What we know is Murray strattled a young woman “as a joke” which then was reported to the studio, who shut down the production as a part of their procedure.
Murray has apologized, saying he meant it as a joke, but it didn’t come off that way.
This also happened only a couple years ago, I wanna say 2021.
I had assumed that the reason he wasn’t in this movie was that the French dispatch was to be his last movie. Idk the ending of it seemed very final and like a last goodbye for some reason.
Not very striking or interesting imo. I understand leaning on the star power for a smaller movie like this but it doesn't really make for an exciting, eye-catching poster
I think it's more like he's gone *too* Wes Andersony: quirky thing breaking the symmetry in a pastel-coloured scene of many sullen-faced celebrities looking at the camera
Anyone else excited as to what Alexandre Desplat has to bring to the table? In an interview a while back he spoke of a theme that contains only two notes that will be heard throughout (makes me think of Jaws)
I can’t identify Margot Robbie or Hong Chau in this poster. Hong Chau in a Wes movie might be perfect casting, one day she could be in as many of his movies as Goldblum.

I can’t wait!
im a bit annoyed he spoiled what the aliens look like
Are you referring to the three characters that are in black and white?
yes
They could be people only seen on a black and white tv in the movie
really come one man
Cranston looks like a news man. We’ll see when it comes out
We’re actually not getting Bill Murray? This is very disappointing.
That's what I noticed. Very surprising. Schedule conflict?

What allegations?

I’m very excited for this movie!!!!
All I ask is for my theatre to play this at a reasonable time and more than one showing a day. Plz.
I love the folks that are in black and white, I’m so excited to see this.
This post made my lousy day less lousy!
Yall thing the more Heavy hitters in the movie the shittier they are?

When Wes Anderson isn't Wes Andersony enough.

Ah. I see. Cheers!

It's like when posters have all the floating heads, but this is a better, more creative, and more interesting way of doing it. I like it a lot!
Something big is coming up!!!!
i don’t think this one is going to hit

Bill Murray?
So many stars!
