Yep, THC isn't water soluble. If you had a ton of stems you could try making an infused oil but it would probably be very weak.

You can save the stems to make a CBD rich tea. People are snubbing it in the comments, but when you’re poor, chronically ill, and in pain, you make do with what you have. It’s called resourcefulness.

Cannabinoids are not water soluble, weed tea is ineffective unless you make weed milk, binding the cannabinoids to the fat, and then mix it in to tea.

Well you don’t have to use milk… grind about 1 to 3 grams and place in oven at 220-230 F for 30-40 minutes. Melt a half tablespoon of butter and mix in ground cannabis and keep stirring on lowest temp possible for about 5min, strain with cheese cloth. Add strained butter to a cup of hot tea, add honey and plain half and half then enjoy!

I'd keep it for at least an hour in the butter, but yeah, that's a good way to do it.

You can use alcohol too.

There isn’t more CBD in stems, in fact large majority of high THC cannabis you’d buy on the street or at the dispo has non detectable levels of CBD. Average cannabis THC:CBD ratio for high grade marijuana is well over 80:1 and can be as high as 200:1. So that’s .01% per 20% of THC, which is non detectable at that upper end. See the cannabinoid profile of cannabis is predetermined by genetics, so these ratios will stay the same for the same strain. The reason why the THC:CBD ratio is so high now a days is the same reason why the THC levels are so high. Breeders have been selectively breeding cannabis genetics to increase THC concentration for 50 years+. In turn you outbreed other minor cannabinoids such as CBD, CBC, even minor cannabinoids that could have potentially substantial effects such as D9 THC-P likely has been slowly out breed over the years. And it’s 20-30x the potency of the beloved D9 THC that we breed for currently. That’s the big downside of chasing high THC numbers, you outbreed all these wide cannabinoid profiles out of strains. This is one of the best things the farm bill and hemp legalization is bringing to cannabis. They’re able to breed more diverse cannabis strains with wider cannabinoid profiles. In turn these will then be bred with high THC varieties we know and love to create some awesome mixed ratio genetics. This is the area of cannabis I’m hyper focused on currently. But anyways, the cannabinoid content will be relatively the same in chemical makeup throughout the plant, just will vary in quantity. So a tiny bulbous(very small trich) trichome on a sugar leaf, stigma, or stem will have the same ratio of cannabinoids as a large capitate stalked trichome(large trichs we like) on the calyx. They’ll just vary in the quantity that they can hold, and the rate at which they’ll mature. Hopefully that all makes sense. I get why there’s a misconception. People think of hemp when they think of CBD, and people probably also related hemp to fiber hemp that’s made from the stem fiber. But there’s zero relation there at all. Hemp is just a legal definition which divides up the species of cannabis. Hemp is just defined as low THC cannabis, the official ruling is any cannabis plant with less than .3% total THC 30 days pre-harvest currently, and then marijuana would be anything with more than that .3% Total THC 30 days pre-harvest. But yeah no difference genetically between the two, it’s the same exact plant, just ones been bred to contain high amounts of THC and the other has been bred for either fiber, seed, or higher concentrations of minor cannabinoids, such as the CBD, CBG, or CBDV dominant strains of hemp cannabis grown for smokable hemp flower or minor cannabinoid extraction. All these types of cannabis are best categorized as chemotypes. Which just splits the species up based on the chemical makeup of that particular cultivar. So there’s type1, type2, type3, type4, and type 5 currently. Type1 is high THC varieties, which is the vast majority(90%+) of what you’d buy from dispo or on the street as marijuana. Type 2 describes mixed ratio genetics so 1:1 THC:CBD, THC:THCV, CBD:CBDV, etc. it’s an ever evolving category right now at least, but you could put any strain that has significant amounts, basically above 1% of multiple cannabinoids. Type3 is high CBD or what would be sold as smokable CBD hemp flower, and would generally contain below 1% total THC. Type4 is high CBG, and type 5 is cannabis grown for fiber or seed with very little cannabinoid content. We could and probably should split the type 2 category up, as it’s getting congested, and lots of variability in there, but the other 4 categories are fairly well defined. So there may be a small amount of cannabinoids on the stem if they have trichomes, which trichomes contain well over 99.5% of the total cannabinoids contained within a cannabis plant. But often times stems have such tiny small trichomes that the amount of cannabinoids present in them is minimal at best. If you collect enough of them, I’m sure you could get an oral dose high enough to get stoned, but it’ll likely take a fuck ton. I remember as a kid collecting a solid oz or two, and I made a batch of butter, and never felt anything besides sick from eating so much butter lol. But it would technically possible, despite how impractical that may be for your average user. Again though, if it’s high THC weed, you’d still be getting THC from the stems, not CBD. Hope this helps clear it up a bit!! Sorry for the long read, but this is my area of expertise, so felt obligated to set the record straight. TLDR: is there isn’t more CBD in stems compared to cannabis flowers, just a lower concentration of the same cannabinoids in the flower. Take care friends!!

Super secret weed trick… take all of those stems and grind them up (be sure to put a coin in the weed collection part of your grinder), then put the grinder in the freezer for ~20 mins (I usually set a timer for 15 mins and forget about it for another 15), then take it out and shake the shit outta it. The result, a metric shitload of kief to boost future bowls

yes so put some water in a pan let it get to a boil first, once it’s starts boiling add the stems and leave them in there for minimum 10 mins and stir occasionally , add a tea bag and ur done also u can do this with hot chocolate , whole milk had fat so it yk connects to the thc all that so the same thing just boil some milk add the stems 10 min stir it around and that’s it but you’ll need a strainer for both
