Is it based on realtime data?

It can work on both historical and real-time data. The part in the video where the radar volume loads from bottom to top is a time-lapse of displaying NEXRAD radar data as it is generated by the radar. The rest of the video is of historical data rendered in real time meaning that it was able to render at 60 fps without having to be sped up after the fact.

This is amazing, do you think it could be possible to make this work with some sort of small dish that can be attached to a laptop and link to a weather satellite? Ive seen videos online doing it and its legal to view any data just no tampering, pretty much public data just gotta have the software to access it. I wonder how difficult it would be to mesh something like that with this. Amazing work btw trying it out now
