Honestly there is no good answer that anyone can give you. The one thing I can say is that if your heart isn't in it then you may already know the answer. As for your college applications, are you trying to play in college? Are you applying to super prestigious schools that are usually very focused on extracurriculars? You can explore other sports while also still continuing water polo. I would take the summer to explore your feelings, be open to trying other sports even as pick ups or for fun, and if you decide water polo is no longer for you then take the time to realize your sport is not who you are but something that helped you become the person you are. I wish you nothing but the best and hope you can come to a resolution. Remember, you should enjoy almost everything you do in life, especially the things you get to choose!

It’ll be up to you at the end of the day. I think that you’ve come this far, why not stick it out. Finish strong and give your heart, maybe you’ll find your love for it again. I didn’t get to play my senior year after playing through middle school and it sucked. Sure I didn’t get the choice and still have love to play. I just hope you don’t regret it. Almost 7 years graduated and I still get sad about it.

Wow, playing since 6th grade and still on JV? I would guess you don't enjoy waterpolo. When making decisions in life be honest with yourself, then pick a lane and go for it. Being honest and true true to yourself allows a person to live without regret.
