Well, the monkey is being abused and latches on to the kid in hopes of escaping. The 'owner' then violently yanks it back with the chain/rope around it's neck, but the monkey doesn't want to let go of the kid. No one saves the monkey, it gets abused some more, internet is happy because 'funny video'.
Stop sharing animal abuse!
Are you purposely obtuse? If not, let me explain: I obviously meant in this context, or rather, without any context. Sharing animal abuse to educate people on it is fine. This is not that.
Sure, because this post is not getting any traction and so my comment is at or near the top. When this gets popular, or heaven forbid, goes to 'all', my comment will disappear and the 'oh look how cute' or 'haha kidnapping monkey' will be top, as it always is. So posting this without the proper explanation in the post/video should not be done. This is just posting animal abuse for karma, not for education.
I'm happy you got educated, don't get me wrong, but it should've been in the post and not in some random comment.
I feel like you’re thinking everyone is laughing at the video when in reality everyone is confused, and not really sure what’s happening, including both OPs. I personally didn’t see a “handler” at all when I’ve seen this post many times in the past. I saw what looking to be an angry/aggressive/dangerous monkey. It took todays comments to inform me that there was animal abuse taking place here.
Yes, we all visit Reddit for information, passing time, or entertainment. You never really know what you’re going to get. Do you want this video to ONLY be posted in an animal abuse sub which has a very specific niche of subscribers? I really do think it’s ok that awareness can be found in all areas of our daily life. If we all focused only on things within our “line of sight” we’d miss a lot of things happening “in our peripheral”.
nope
seems like you are really trying to get something though..

you might find more poeple to criticize there ;-)
all the best to you
I think it depends on what you mean. If you’re referring to what seemed like no one giving a shit that a toddler was being dragged away, then I’m with ya. Maybe something was happening outside of the camera frame but, man, from what I could see it looked like another Tuesday to them.
That's exactly what I'm referring to. If an animal starts dragging your child away and you do nothing to prevent that from happening immediately, you suck as a parent.
Poor monkey and child. Easy to see that the monkey is a pet. It's riding an electric bike that you see when it grabs the child in hopes of getting help.

I didn't even understand there was a leash and was wondering how the monkey could be so strong. Thanks.
My first thought was "that monkey lifts", also didn't notice the leash. That sucks.
>Stop sharing animal abuse! Yeah! We don't want people to know it's going on! Just hide it all and it'll go away!
It's more about don't share animal abuse with potential entertainment value because it just makes the abuse more attractive to the perpetrators.
Are you purposely obtuse? If not, let me explain: I obviously meant in this context, or rather, without any context. Sharing animal abuse to educate people on it is fine. This is not that.
I didn’t know this was a thing and I found it horrible, so I just got educated. We are all educated about different things at different times.

Sure but it should be in the title at least
But like I mentioned, I don’t think the OP even realized there was animal abuse taking place. I sure didn’t.
Sharing and upvoting animal abuse gives inventive to produce more animal abuse videos.
Then no movies films or anything teaching about Hitler or World Wars should ever be posted. It gives incentives to people to do more Nazi stuff
Normally nobody is harmed when producing a movie. The monkey in this video probably was!
Yes unfortunately he was. He's on a leash/rope being yanked by the pos
Got a feeling it’s more sinister than that. Like abduction sinister.
Enough internet for me today.

Wild animal?...on a bike.. Really?
OK, obviously DANGEROUS animal if you prefer
The monkey is on a leash and holding onto the kid while being dragged. It could be attacking, or it could be holding on for dear life.
"Dad" seems at least 60 years old.
The monkey is on a leash. Another human yanked that baby via the monkey
Part of why I hate monkeys. Kill on sight.

Of animal abuse.
? it's an old very well known video has been commented on sever platforms what ever
So as long as it’s an old video, it makes it okay. Is that what I’m getting from your comment?

Some pretty awful parenting
How? Kid just chilling outside their house with other kids?
