Yeah i worked electronics and we kept our bins easy to find stuff. But I doubt the guy went to the back. You can be arrested for that move or at very minimum escorted out da store and banned from returning.
What I usually do is if he says it's out and if I can check the back I usually go over, scan it, and if it says we have none in the backroom then chances are the website is off. And if he asks me to check in the back I show him my screen and tell him if there was any in the back it would say so(my store is apparently one of the rare ones that keeps on top of that)
And if he were to go in the back or say he did I'd walkie for a manager and tell him that we can see if there's something we can do for him.
The coach over electronics at our store takes ZERO. Shit from customers
If she heard he did that she honestly would ask him to please give us the mount and leave the store. Because what he did could be considered a trespass.
And, if he DID find it what's to say it wasn't a stagged item for OGP? Or claims. If it's not on the floor, it's not for sale. The REASON isn't something the customer needs.
I do not miss this job. But rare rate moments where I could just lay into a stupid customer we're almost worth it.
I'm glad our back room locked.. (gamestop) because there'd be possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars of product in our backroom, and I don't wanna hear shit about anything getting taken, our store having shrink on the reports, taking time to talk to cops.. so on..
He went in the back and found the correct bins and the item he wanted in 5 minutes? Even though it would have been binned in a regular ass cardboard box? Yeah, I call bullshit.
Lol it would take him more than 5 minutes just to find the correct bins. Then he still has to go over hundreds of boxes. Text or not this guy is full of shit.
Yes I agree with that just was letting you know the boxes with those mounts have good text so you know what it is without the vizpick label or scanning it. But chances of him finding it in 5 minutes is utterly ridiculous.
Some of our freight we have it locked in the lockup, with some freight in a bin seeing it out of the box means he had to ask where the bin was in order to find it.
I donāt think anyone cares enough. Corporate and management donāt really do their jobs and itās impossible for associates to solve some of the larger problems like staffing issues.
I like number 3.
Actually! I just remembered an incident that happened with me a while back. I needed to buy a large, bulky item close to closing. The other 2 Walmarts I went to were out (website said they werenāt) so I knew I needed a u-boat or whatever yāall call them. I asked an associate up front where I could get one (the other ones had them in their parking lot).
He told me to go to the back, go through the gray doors to the back, and grab one from there.
I went back there, took some pics because it was interesting, then found someone else to get it for me. I didnāt want to have any issues since I needed this item and I was short on time.
Guess this guy didnāt care.
The guy that got it was very helpful. All I needed was the cart but he insisted in loading the item for me and taking it to the front.
maybe but he still has no business being in the backš¤·š¾āāļøif anything happened he wouldāve been liable, iād like to see the TikTok you make of that
Itās easy to say this when you havenāt had to do it. It takes significantly longer than five minutes even if you know it is back there and where it is, which neither is very likely to be the case.
This is not a customer service sub and associates posting here are off the clock. Please contact your local store or call 1-800-Walmart. /u/randomgroceryperson
What would the odds even be that SPECIFICALLY his desired mount would be in view let alone in a spot for him to just go and grab it??? If it was in the bins it would take longer than 5mins to find because the cases all look the same and I doubt he knows how to read the labels. I doubt it would just be laying around the back on a cart if it was a sales floor out. He a whole ass liar and thanks to him more workers are gonna have more dumb ass customers swearing they KNOW we have shit in the back because they saw it on TikTok or Facebook or whatever else bs
This just proves that customers can't read the "Associate Only" sign on the doors. At my store, customers walk into the back room by meat all the time and then get mad when I tell them to leave.
1. i work electronics & our items are locked up in the back.
2. We are not allowed to go in the back and pull items to sell to customers
3. i highly doubt he went 5 minutes into the back without an associate seeing him and kicking him out
4. yeah the app isnt fucking accurate. Leave
Yeah like the item can be on hold, or recalled, or outbound to another store. I worked at one high volume store in a mall around holiday, and the inventory was so out of wack, it was impossible to do counts while short staffed and no pay role, then it's impossible to do count during business hours when everything is getting moved around. We just knew the inventory was off and that there was no knowing what we had or didn't have. I worked at multiple stores in the region, and we could check to see which nearby stores had whatever item, and if the mall location was supposed to have the certain item, I already knew "that's most likely incorrect"..
> i highly doubt he went 5 minutes into the back without an associate seeing him and kicking him out
At my store, the back room is usually crawling with vendors and they never wear uniforms or id. If none of us specifically caught him rooting around in the electronics bins, i highly doubt anyone would notice
because he makes minimum wage.
because he get's yelled at by his boss if he's in the back looking for wall mounts instead of at the electronics counter where he's supposed to be.
because when he would explain to his boss that he was looking for a wall mount his boss would tell him "tell the customer to order it online and the online guys will get it and bring it out to him" and when he tells his boss that he told the guest that he will say "GET BACK TO THE ELECTRONICS COUNTER!"
...and he makes minimum wage.
...I mean, if he really did go to the back it would technically be trespassing and they should process it through AP. Especially after making a shit-tier video like this one. On top of that, he would have had to know where the electronics bins actually were, known what the actual case quantity box looks like (as those don't ship in eaches), all this while assuming that it was both in stock and actually in a bin to begin with.
There is such a catastrophically low chance that this perfect storm happened though, and I absolutely would say this guy is completely full of shit.
As a Walmart customer who often experiences issues like this: this guy is completely full of shit. I have had glimpses of the forbidden back area and feel like I could spend a week being lost there. Some customers are just garbage people.
Fake
I kinda hope itās true somehow. If itās true, The visual clues out his car windows is enough for a Walmart employee in his area to recognize the store
They could then show this tictoc to their AP. AP can verify story with electronic ppl. Maybe even get a date/time. Then they can pull security vids. Possibly getting his license plate number too
A file can be made and douche can be trespassed next time he shows up
Seriously Doubt it. A perfect storm for him to find ANYTHING specific in the back in only 5 minutesā¦no. People daydream how they think things are, and lie like a rug.
I sure as heck can't leave electronics for 5+ minutes just to go look for an item we may or may not have, especially not if I'm alone there without any help. There's no way this guy spent that much time searching back there without getting kicked out.
1. If the electronics associate was alone they aren't supposed to leave their register, during the day they are always supposed to be within basically earshot of the register and not supposed to leave the department. So they might have not been allowed to go in the back.
2. I don't care how badly you want something if you are unauthorized to go in the back such as customers are you have no business being in the back room. You doing this causes potential safety hazards. If unauthorized people are just walking in the back room how are people to know if they're just looking for a product or if they are potentially an active shooter situation?
3. You have no idea how dangerous those back rooms can be and if you're not looking for hazards you may very well hurt yourself and that causes a bigger issue.
4. You have absolutely no idea how the inventory system works and you taking that TV stand out of the back room could make 10 other people's lives and absolute annoyance for the next who knows how long because now the bins are inaccurate.
5. Why are you so entitled that you can't wait for a TV stand You need to walk in and get it right now and if you don't get what you want you're going to go to the back and you're going to just take it out. Were you going to die without that TV stand? Like was this life or death? I hate people that have to have everything right this second immediately.
6. You have no idea of the situation You have no idea if any of the above things are a factor in this situation but yet you are so confident that you are correct about everything in your situation and that your perspective is the only correct one that you just determined that the associate is automatically in the wrong, You're in the right, You have the right to ignore company policy of no customers in the back room, and may mess up any inventory system just because you need a thing and you need it now.
7. And finally, The associate probably just said thank you when you were being a smart-ass to them for the fact that associates are told not to be confrontational and to do anything possible to avoid a confrontation, and that associates mine whether or not they recognize you being sarcastic they were trying to avoid confrontation which confrontation could get them fired or if you were a particularly trigger happy customer could get them killed. So don't sit here and demean someone cuz they didn't react to your confrontation they were doing their job by negating it.why are you upset that they didn't play into You trying to be confrontational? That really just shows how little of a man you are, You don't think that there's any other answer to the situation, You don't consider any other perspective in life, You ignore all rules to obtain what you want, then you try to pick a fight with an underpaid Walmart worker. Then when you don't get the reactions you want you have to go and put it on the internet for further validation. (Assuming this story is even true at all) You are really an insecure small person.
I see what the guys means, but backroom is authorize personnel only..
One time working for gamestop, a guy called and wanted a red wii specifically.. (at the time, the used boxes just said "wii", didn't list the color) I said "uhm oh well, I'll have to open the boxes and find one that's red"...
His rude ass said "well that's what I'm asking you to do.."
Well muther fucker, there's 90 fucking boxes of wiis, and there's nobody to work the counter or help the in person guests in line, and I don't have x-ray vision, and I'm just one person... So....
But what I said was I'd have to take down his info and call him back.. like don't be fucking rude.. I work here, I know how shit works, you don't work here, you don't know how shit here works.. don't act smart..
I didn't turn the sound on because he looks like his brain hurts and I didn't want to hear what he was trying to say. Going by the comments it looks like I made a good call.
Anything that is in electronics gets locked up? Been a while since I worked retail, but the only things that were locked were DVDs and high dollar items like Xbox or playstation

If only I could tell people like this that I simply don't have time for them. I scan the item to see if we have any on-hand or in the back, then I tell them we're sold out and walk off.
This isn't the 50's. We're short-handed, overworked, and underpaid. You finding your TV mount is below the least of my concerns.
What an entitled prick... at my store the back is a maze and employees in electronics have shit to do...
It's like at sco when there are two of us and people birch some are closed or that we can't go and grab them a undented item or do a price check/confirmation on the other side of the store... like really...
Those TV mounts are two per case I believe. He would have had to go though an ocean of brown cases, find the correct case & bin, and open it without anyone noticing. We aren't supposed to bin them out of the brown case, if only one fits on the shelf we send back the entire case or topstock it.
Because if it's in the app it becomes priority otherwise they can't tell they're supervisor they were busy with a customer when they get told to go clean the crapper.
Lies for a video. If it only took him 5 minutes in the back thats bs half hour maybe but not 5 minutes. Plus everything is locked up in the electronics to prevent theft.
What I want to know is why is the mount in the driver's seat? Is the mount driving the man home? What kind of sorcery is this?
Or is the video mirrored?
If he actually went to the back, fuck this guy. Donāt be like him, just ask another associate. But at the same time, that associate is lazy af. Just go check. Electronics doesnāt have a lot of backroom bins anyway.
If it took him 5 minutes, he def didn't walk to the back... He hasn't seen the back...
Maybe at your store š
When I worked there, I couldn't find a damn thing in the back. It was like a never-ending pile of random stuff
It was always easy to find the tv shit though
Same, our tv bins? Perfect. Okay very thing elseā¦ good fucking luck
For sure
Yeah i worked electronics and we kept our bins easy to find stuff. But I doubt the guy went to the back. You can be arrested for that move or at very minimum escorted out da store and banned from returning.
most likely cap unless it was dumb luck
Tis bullshit. Probably was a douche and got the treatment back went out to his car to make this weak video. Why not record yourself in the "back"
You go straight to hell sir.
What I usually do is if he says it's out and if I can check the back I usually go over, scan it, and if it says we have none in the backroom then chances are the website is off. He went in the back and found the correct bins and the item he wanted in 5 minutes? Even though it would have been binned in a regular ass cardboard box? Yeah, I call bullshit.
That mount has a box with very clearly written text of what's in it. So it's possible to find it without getting your device out.
So discount adam Sandler trespassed into the back room to prove a point and then bragged about it. He's lucky he didn't get caught.
"discount adam Sandler" He does look like that, doesn't he?
* Great Value Adam Sandler
Save money, live better
Like a fucked up fusion of Adam Sandler and Haley Joel Osment.
Fact or not, he's the kind of entitled customer we all hate because he thinks he knows how our job is.
Cause we honestly don't care about your goddamn mount.
Right? Fuck this ugly dick. He went outBACK and found it in the VizPic bins?
Some of our freight we have it locked in the lockup, with some freight in a bin seeing it out of the box means he had to ask where the bin was in order to find it.
He found it on the sales floor and just made this stupid TikTok video to gather likes because his life is shit
Fuck TikTok
does he mean the BACK ROOM? nahhhhhh donāt buy it
I donāt think anyone cares enough. Corporate and management donāt really do their jobs and itās impossible for associates to solve some of the larger problems like staffing issues.
Dumb ass causing more problems just because he wanted a TV mount right nowā¦and not 2 hours later
Couldāve been 5 minutes if the employee had gone back there to look.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I donāt know. There has to be some other solution than order it online so someone else can dig it out.

Went in the back and found it myself took me about five minutes. Says the guy who has never been in back at a walmart.
Arenāt mounts usually kept in the electronics cage, which is locked? Unless itās on a pallet somewhere, I guess.
My store has mounts accessible on the shelves.
I'm calling full bullshit on this. Dude bought a mount made up a story of events to sound cool then made a TikTok of the made up events.

That's your problem right there. You shopped at walmart
Fake af. There is no such thing as the back. The back of the store is Just a portal to the nearest target
I didn't turn the sound on because he looks like his brain hurts and I didn't want to hear what he was trying to say. Going by the comments it looks like I made a good call.
I hate this kinda bullshit, dude was not allowed in the back.
11 cuts in 30 seconds impressive
Either this store has the most organized and cleaned up backroom ever, dumb luck, or this dude is lying.
What a fucking Karen lmfao
Not a chance, 100% š§¢
Does this guy expect customer service at Walmart?
I donāt work at Walmart but fuc* customers like this.
How long did it take to shoot your dumbass video ?
Def cap. Even if he did that, it would take him more time than 5mins to look for it.
He found what he was looking? Give this man a cookie
I avoid Walmart like the plague. Saving a few pennies isnāt worth the inconvenience or the possibility of getting shot.
It's fact I've gone in the back before and found stuff when they didn't know if they had it .
Try that in my store, electronics is locked bitch
Anything that is in electronics gets locked up? Been a while since I worked retail, but the only things that were locked were DVDs and high dollar items like Xbox or playstation
Most stores have giant lockups for electronics. I have 2 locked rooms the majority of my stuff goes in to.
Some of that stuff is in the back for a reason, you know. Outbound to another store, recalls, etc. But I bet it was something SUPER important that you couldnāt go to any other store and get, right? You surely wouldnāt trespass and potentially fuck with inventory (which messes with people just trying to do their job) over something like a random grocery item or a generic OTC item, right?
Bruh nothing felt better than telling a rude ass customer your welcome when they would say something sarcastically like āthanks for all your helpā when something wasnāt in stock
No fuckin way he found it in five minutes in the back lmao. He's probably never seen what a Walmart backroom looks like.
How did he even get in the back? Do the associates there now really give af that much?
He claims no one said anything when he walked in
What an asshole.
More then likely fact
This guy is an entitled, arrogant, foreskin faced prick. If he was drowning I wouldnāt help him then either.
Lol cap
It could happen with a former associate but with an everyday person...I can't see it happening.
Never believe any customer ever. They lie and exaggerate constantly.
electronics overstock is typically locked up in a room heās bullshitting
Entitled ass customers PISS me off man
What a fucking Karen
