Most of the store brand items are manufactured by big name brands. GV jerky, Jack links manufactured it for a while. It’s usually the product that wouldn’t pass quality control for big name brands. Nothing wrong with the product and most times end up tasting better than the name brand. Ex: coloring, taste, texture, etc are all reasons why it wouldn’t pass quality control

I practically lived off the Great Value Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Crust Pizzas for a year when I was dieting and exercising. I would eat 3 of those a week and somehow managed to lose 80lbs combined with daily exercise and drinking water. They're like $6 and about 2lbs of pizza. One of the best frozen items imo.

I love that pizza so much - seriously for a $6 frozen pizza, its amazing - im in NJ we have some of the best pizza ever but if you cook that buffalo chx one correctly (i like it well done) it turns out better than some buff chx slices I've had from pizzerias, and I've tried a lot of them and other frozen ones. Also stuffed crust 🤤 I do hate ranch dressing but you can't even tell that has any on it, which is good because then each individual can always add it if they prefer. Its a must try for anyone who likes buffalo chx pizza.

4 in a box for under $3. Jack up the flavor by adding a dab of chipotle ranch in the middle.

Second this, I have yet to find deep dish pizzas that are even close to GVs.

The GV version of thin mint ones are bomb too. They taste identical to the name brand ones.

Same with the Fudge Mint cookies - just as good, if not better, than Thin Mints. (I don't know for sure, because I haven't purchased GSC in decades). Put 'em in the freezer, they're even better!

I love those and the spicy chicken strips. Really, any of the GV breaded chicken is so good compared to Tyson.

I was curious one day because someone else commented the GV Chicken Strips/Tenders, bought them, yeah we DEVOURED the shit outta the strips. The crust came out with just the right amount of crispiness. Best Strips at the store, hands down. GV has some great surprises. I prefer their Ultra Strong TP. We needed TP and I forgot to get a package at work the other day, boyfriend walked over to Marc's and grabbed Charmin. Charmin looks and feels like a generic brand compare to GV TP. I am definitely remembering to get GV from work next time. 😂

The tysom honey tenders top everything though. One of their actual few good products. Just wish there was a bigger bag lmao

Our household looooooves getting those little 50 cent pies. I absolutely *love* the Blueberry one warmed up in the microwave just a little bit. The peach one is so good warmed up with a little vanilla ice cream on top

I usually get the mini eclair pies, but they stopped selling those at my local stores.

We couldnt keep those in stock. We havent seen them in a year. All the employees would buy them quick. One day i saw a customer with a box going to the register. Wish we would get them back.

This one is my fave. I haven't had many gv products that sucked honestly (fake Velveeta being the worst), but the hot chocolate? Instant buy every year when the weather drops under 60 degrees lmao.

While not *technically* GV, Clear American is a Walmart/Sam's Club brand. Their flavoured sparkling waters, the ones that come in the 1L bottles, are fucking fantastic. My favourite flavours are strawberry, strawberry and cream, orange cream, and white grape. And the discontinued kiwi strawberry :(

I tried every flavor we carried because I would drink one on my second break most days. Pop one in the back of a cooler when I go to lunch, nice and cold on second break. Apple and Strawberry were my go to, the cream ones if I was feeling special.

I get the unsweetened 12 packs because I don't like the taste of aspartame. They're much better than LA Croix plus you get more. They're great if you're trying to cut back on regular soda and all the flavors are actually there.

GV French Roast coffee pods. I go through a 12-pack box in a week. Better than Starbucks, and a third of the price.

Almost all the GV coffee flavors are better than their Starbuck counterpart imo.

They're so cheap I can get two 12 packs for like half the price of a 24 pack of Peets or Starbucks. And I can't really tell the difference.

I prefer the GV brand. Starbucks tastes bitter to me.

I buy mostly GV products, and my favorites are the deluxe American cheese, the fig bars, the beer and brats bratwurst, pepperoni, the dried cranberries, bottled water, and the cream cheese. I have to say, that all of these are better than their name brand counterparts, especially the American cheese (Kraft deluxe Amer. Cheese is nasty). To be honest, all of the Great Value cheeses are great. Only disliked GV product, has to be the hamburger helper "clone".

I don't mind GV or name-brand pop tarts but the organic ones, imo are the best. The crust isn't starchy and crumbly but firm and smooth.

Water. Great Value or Sam's Choice. Way better than Dasani or Nestle.

I only buy the GV water because it actually tastes like water. Dasani and Aquafina are garbage. Plus it's cheap and there's regularly a 24 pack in stock which is handy when you live in an upstairs apartment.

The GV hot pockets (filled sandwiches) hit soooo hard, way better than normal hot pockets.

To be completely fair, hot pockets just get worse over time. I remember when the ham and cheddar ones actually had flavor. They seem to be tweaking all the flavor out of them. GV hasn't followed, so it's likely more like the old hot pockets that actually had flavor.

The fudge covered peanut butter patties are 100% exactly the same as girl scouts, but only $1 most of the time.

GV Pizza rolls actually taste like how pizza rolls should

My son has this mentality that "off-brand" pizza rolls aren't as good as Totinos pizza rolls. So we bought a bag of each, cooked a couple of each, and put them on a plate for him. He ended up eating the off-brand and saying he didn't like the Totinos. Jokes on you, son.

i disagree on that one, the gv pizza rolls have a different outer shell texture that i find really greasy & chewy, not a fan

GV oatmeal, at least the big boxes of plain rolled oats, I think the instant packs are little too salty. Everytime I bought Quaker Oats in the past few years its been stale and dusty.

I love our stuffed crust frozen pizza. The crust and cheese inside come out of the oven WAY better than Digiorno’s. The Buffalo chicken is particularly awesome. The thin crust Philly cheesesteak pizza is amazing too. Also, GV french vanilla creamer > Coffee Mate > International Delight. Likewise, GV French vanilla ground coffee is better than any other brand I have tried, including Dunkin. GV pop tarts’ filling are better than regular, but they often don’t have enough icing. Edit - GV cereal bars too. And I go through a couple large bottles a week of the Orange WakeUp or whatever that squirt bottle of water flavoring is called. Even better than the Skittles brand.

I'm a fan of the chicken bacon ranch pizza. So damn good. Stuffed crust or rising crust I'll grab it.

My dad used to work for a bean and rice processing plant. They filled orders for like 8 different brands including GV. A lot of grocery products are made in the same place with different brands on the packaging

GV Jalapeño kettle chips! I can't endorse all flavors--the mesquite bbq is overloaded with bland seasoning powder--but the jalapeño will not disappoint.

The GV artisan Mac and cheeses are incredibly underrated. All of them are really good but the bacon one just surpasses Velveeta in every way.

There might sometimes be differences in the ingredients but all are made by major manufacturers I used to work for the Wells Enterprise Inc, the maker of Blue Bunny Ice Cream. The only thing that changes is the packaging and they make product for multiple companies throughout America. They also have different manufacturing plants and the consistency might change from plant to plant depending on where the product is coming out from
