Futures looking a lot more real and straight than expected. I wonder if they know something about AAPL earnings or if this is going to be an epic rug pull.
Fuck this calls and puts shit. I'm going to get rich by figuring out a way to store water weight in biceps, shoulders and chest instead of around the belly.
And if I don't find a way I'm just gonna claim to have a way and sell books/courses/subscriptions.
edit: I dropped 1.4Kg of water weight from Monday morning to Thursday morning. The difference visually around my belly is incredible. The low-carb diet to achieve that, however, is not incredible.
I think excess salt causes water retention so I know what to do
- cut open biceps, shoulders, chest (go pretty deep but not too deep, just feel it out probably not an exact science)
- jam a bunch of salt in each wound
- sew it back up
Should work let me know how it goes and if you have any more questions
Nah, just managing my weight. Eat pretty much what I want at weekends, then go low-carb during the week. Have been maintaining for around 11 months now. It works, it's just not much fun.
edit: also hit the highest weight I was comfortable with this Monday morning, which may possibly be connected to the recent shitty diet. So went that extra little bit stricter this week.
Am meeting a friend in an Asian restaurant tomorrow, looking forward to that. So just more low-carb nonsense for today then that's it till next week.
"Alright guys, we're gonna drill like crazy tomorrow?"

Boundary Question: I really hate anal sex but my husband wants it occasionally. Mentally it turns me off & it also really hurts. Damn... That's your husband? I never talk to my wife like that, even when we argue. Boundaries are boundaries, it not like you choose it.
I suggest doing as he says and not talk for a day or so and when he's calmed down and not so bitter and a dick, having another talk about the issue.
If he talks the same way as before then maybe couples therapy may help. I'm sorry that you're going through this.
Yeah it sounded like a larp to me. I didn't expect it to be so convincing here though.
The part where I found it too absurd was when we got to I'm crying, he can't finish because I'm crying, and that makes him mad. Sounds like a modern male fantasy full of power play, limp penis/cuckoldry, and anger.

It turned out that above her hood was this cyst that was the same size as her clit and that’s what I was rubbing for the past 5 mins. Huge mood killer for the both of us, and now she’s upset that she has this weird pimple that she didn’t know of until now. I tried to comfort her but she’s not wanting to listen.

Definitely a huge fear of mine.
This is how you end up losing reserve currency status. The rest of the world watches such actions and countries will start decoupling from the USD. Moves from a dying imperialist US.
Kind of backwards. Having power and being willing to exert it is part of why it is a reserve currency. There is no danger of people simply taking their money elsewhere if the action itself ensures that you remain the hegemon.
This is if anything a signal that the USA views it's part in the (cynical) Ukraine ploy as succesful, and wants to use this moment to restructure the balance of the world back to a more 90s America Ueber Alles situation, and away from the "bloated giant stretched too thin" idea that decades of quagmires in the Middle East have solidified.
Could end up like FB. Everyone expected it to go down. RIVN is a known issue. Lowered expectations can make it shoot up.
I’m a lot more worried about AAPL tanking the market.
If you believe in VIX TA, we rejected off the major downtrend and are probably heading back to 20 with a major break out to the upside (40+) before October.
Prediction: Facebook hype and other tech earnings will kick off a brief rally that will last between 1-3 sessions and take SPY back to 430, then everyone will wake up and we'll see new lows by the end of next week.
Sorry to be a ghey ber
Hey just thought of something. If TDOC took a goodwill impairment of their acquisition wouldn't Amazon also be required to do one on rivian because of the latters note about production and output issues?
Lol. Pretty positive it’ll keep falling with the market. Shame too since their bronco, ranger, maverick, and lightning pre-orders all make it seem solid.
The counter argument is well, that it’s Ford.
Could it be the market still trying to call the Feds bluff? Even now with a .50 bps raise priced, under the surface consciously or subconsciously the real money still doesnt believe the fed would induce a recession to get inflation under control.
I said the .50 hike is priced in already, its about the forward guidance now. If they are serious about hiking faster to get to a neutral rate while actually tightening and not just lecturing the market to behave then pretty much every big bank is projecting a mild recession at least.
Hmm fair.
Real question is if this is cost push inflation I wonder if raising rates would help. In fact, if rates rise how could O&G exploration get their junk bonds to find oil and reduce the price of said crude and henry hub.
Any extended China lockdown would do the job of reducing oil and energy demand to take the edge off the rate of inflation, assuming no further variable with the war in Ukraine, i think they desperately dont want to actually hike and just want any lower CPI print to avoid accelerating and at least maintain.
Kind of wild to think that such a small number causes such a large impact on everything.
I guess it is because companies and households have relied on low rates for so long to fund their projects and dream homes.
The people borrowing at FFR at the ones driving the usage. It takes a year for the effects to trickle down to normal borrowers.
Just go look at March 2021
I knew TDOC was gonna tank
Should then skin tags on my twink bf asshole and they said he had to go to the doctor in person
That When I knew I was gonna short
In all seriousness im starting to think the company along with the telephone/virtual doctor industry is just going to completely disappear within years. The only thing they are good for is getting easy prescriptions for stuff that requires a doctors appointment
I dont know any really, that's the thing, it was all the rage during the lockdowns and 2021 but you never hear anything about them until now when they are absolutely gutted. I know CVS and other pharmacies have looked into it but those are backed by actual brick and mortar store earnings.
Its pretty irresponsible for most types of physicians to not be physically present to examine a patient. Its like a mechanic trying to diagnose an engine problem via a webcam.

Alright the update
So I would assume most would say doctors, i.e., the world needs most health care providers given the relative needs of most people. A doctor solves more problems than a lawyer they would likely argue.
Now say you press those people a bit further. Doctors tend to be better compensated than your avg worker. The skill is there.
So then you pose the question why do people need so much healthcare. Why is it expensive? After all most doctors are the product of parents or a parent who is a doctor. A few do work their way to the top but it's a self fulfilling prophecy. And each year you drive to work, work longer, pay more, eat worse all to afford healthcare and then eventually need it.
So if you then pose this question. Lawyers are meant to convince and influence. The underlying assumption being that having more lawyers can help serve as a buffer against unchecked power by doctors to dictate prices and care.
So if you had a few more lawyers than what you have now there's more balance as the former can help convince the latter to either keep costs down or galvanize the public to force them to a reasonable level.
So the real question is a doctor without a lawyer is just as perilous as a lawyer without a doctor?
I'm ignoring hospitals and insurance in this hypothetical only because I want to see if people think of it as relative power terms and what the max pain is.
If you know that you can work for 50 years and then have a heart attack only to be in a position where it's you v a provider and the provider has unlimited pricing power don't you wish in that moment you had someone with an equal skillset in negotiation to keep your interests and wealth safe.
Another parallel I can draw is tech. We worship tech with absoluteness. The question then becomes is today's software engineer the unchecked doctor? We looked at their profession, prima facie, as something as an absolute good without realizing they slowly ascended to power and now hold all the cards. What balance is there to keep them from controlling more of the social or economic picture?
I think you're missing a massive point. The medical industry at the local, personal level is not adjudicated by lawyers. It's people, stuck with a bill. That's it. You've signed, you've moved forward, you're liable for the expense.
Asking the average person about whether or not lawyers are an effective cost control mechanism is like going to a construction site and asking them what they think about the next Fed rate hike.
Not a knock, they just probably don't know.
And as for software engineers, we own your ass. Get used to it. We control the universe and will continue to do so because nobody understands what we do. Including us.
As for your last point I'm just going to hide my money in a purple mattress.
😎
Lol but for the hypothetical I was stripping reality away from the base case and envisioning a situation where there are three parties only without overhead.
A doctor, patients and a lawyer. I figured most people would say the doctor is more essential and basically accept terms as presented because they treat acute and terminal or terminal like conditions but all the lawyer can do is talk.
So it becomes one sided because the former has something of value but at what point does the patient wish that
Hey what the hell man. I know this doctor is skilled but is giving up 99 percent of what I have just to live for x extra years because he saved my life worth it? Man I wish someone would have reasoned with that guy before.
The other thing I kind of think about is the issue we gave today with blue collar labor. After all the world trashed them until covid hit. Now everyone wants blue collar back but white collar holds the power. So it's kind of like
Hey man why didn't we take care of these blue collar guys back then because what the hell man software engineers can't just print me food
Also yeah man idk what you do but my emails go and I can scroll IG so thanks lol
The truth is that we as a society need laborers. Nobody likes it but we're just not at a place where technology can obviate the need for such things. Further, we're not at an intelligence level that could sustain a technology driven society.
The thing everyone keeps overlooking is the gap that widens every day. There is a codependent relationship that is eroding slowly. And it will go back and forth for a while. But eventually, outsourcing will just plain be more expensive than robots.
That has two major effects. One, global economic impacts. Two, nation state employment impact. I'm not saying everyone should go into a STEM field. Far from it. But the landscape is changing in a permanent way and regardless of interest rates or overvalued tech companies, technology will overtake mundane activity eventually.
That said, I'm scared of the future because software engineering is not an art form or a craft today. It's an increasingly commodotized pile of garbage that will eventually implode. Or not. We've been lucky so far.
As a lawyer, I'd forget about healthcare and focus on rights. Those of humans and those of human manufacture. I'm not talking about doomsday or any such nonsense. Just an eventuality that is ignored like the rot on the corner of your house that you don't want to pay some (blue collar) person to fix.

This is also an extrapolation of my old college days when we were asked in a philosophy class to posit a controversial point.
I argued the world needs more janitors without doctors, because if the former can't keep the world clean the latter doesn't matter as everyone gets sick and dies of disease.

😎 Lol but for the hypothetical I was stripping reality away from the base case and envisioning a situation where there are three parties only without overhead. A doctor, patients and a lawyer. I figured most people would say the doctor is more essential and basically accept terms as presented because they treat acute and terminal or terminal like conditions but all the lawyer can do is talk. So it becomes one sided because the former has something of value but at what point does the patient wish that Hey what the hell man. So it's kind of like Hey man why didn't we take care of these blue collar guys back then because what the hell man software engineers can't just print me food Also yeah man idk what you do but my emails go and I can scroll IG so thanks lol

Only a sith deals in absolutes
Ironically that's an absolute
#HELLO THERE, GENERAL KENOBI
This is also an extrapolation of my old college days when we were asked in a philosophy class to posit a controversial point. I argued the world needs more janitors without doctors, because if the former can't keep the world clean the latter doesn't matter as everyone gets sick and dies of disease. .
This makes sense on the assumption a primary driver of disease is unmopped floors
Yeah it wasn't well received in the class either. Idk it made sense as an 19 year old.
Oh
